My sister has the exact same codes as the opening poster. Hers is over 10k and today she just got a second 570. I haven’t seen anyone with 2 570’s one on top of the other. She called and the lady said you’re scheduled for dd on the 19th don’t worry, but she never got the 846. No healthcare from the marketplace or government help to pay for it, so it isn’t relating to that I don’t think…. It’s just strange.

I just checked the transcripts and I see the year 2014 listed (that year wasn’t listed until today) but when I try to open it, I get an error message with reference # 122. Anyone know why that is happening?

I looked this morning and now I have the account transcript where before it was N/A it has all zeros on it and it says as of March 9th. Does this mean that I will have my refund before March 9th? Or they are just working on it and it is in the system now?

Its about time they admit to their mistake. I have been waiting for my money since I was accepted on January 20. The worst part is I went to the healthcare.gov website and calculated what my second lowest cost silver plan was and it was the same amount that is on my 1095-a. So now wait more while they figure out what is going on. They only had years to get this all together and be ready for tax season. What a mess!

If you request your transcripts (online is faster) it should give you an actual issue date. That more than likely is your ddd, although most cycle codes would seem to be accurate, it’s honestly just an internet myth that has developed over the past few years.

Thank you Bart for answering my earlier question! I do have another :) I called the IRS again today because I had a few more questions and the lady told me to call Turbo tax and let them know that their system keeps kicking my return out..Do you know if that will actually do anything? Also They are now saying they sent out 800,000 wrong forms for obamacare. I got a form because we had insurance through the marketplace for 2 months. Would that show up on my taxes if it was wrong? Or if it’s not saying anything about that when I call the IRS can I assume that that is not the problem? She also told me this could take 8 weeks for them to resolve this system error from turbo tax. She said If I haven’t heard anything by the 3 week of March I can call back and they will have someone work on my file. Is that accurate? Thank you again!

So I filed on Feb 12th. It still shows processing. I am assuming that is due to the holiday. Has anyone what received theirs? Since I have a small business I also used the sbbt to pay for the program. How do you check if they have received it? Until I read this post I didn’t know you could check through the sbbt. I normally buy the program but without realizing it I bought deluxe instead of home and business. I know it’s only been a week but I know someone who filed the day before me and received theirs today. :(

Follow-up. It seems from reading here that with idverify some ppl go from no transcripts straight to 846. No 570 code ever on their transcripts. Is that possible? I thought they wanted to keep an internal record of the actions on the account. Just wondering.

QUESTION: efiled and return is processed but they are holding refund until I submitted 2010 return. So I mailed in an Injured Spouse form thinking i might at lease get some of the $ – not sure if Fed will release any but state will. Same here, filed 2/2/15 on TT and accepted same day. WMR nothing has changed, cant see transcripts yet, We were counting on this money to help us with moving expenses and deposit at end of the month. This has never happened before. I don’t get why its taking longer this year. I got my Kansas state refund within 5 days.

Hi Bart,
I filed on 2/1 and was accepted within a few minutes. (H&R Block efile) Have had the 1 bar ever since, then this morning is changed to no bars, tax topic 152 -also still shows my correct tax refund expected.
So pulled transcripts, they are still showing all 0’s but this morning the “as of” date had changed to March 9th, but then a few minutes ago, the ‘as of’ changed back to Feb 23rd.
No letters, had insurance NOT thru obamacare, simple return. I’ve never had it take this long so I’m freaking out just a little. Should I be concerned?

I filed and it was accepted on 1/28. nothing since then. Today I finally called and got a human who investigated and told me mine was being “reviewed” and it would be at least 16 more days!!!!! I asked if this was an audit and she said no. What does this mean ? Does anybody know?

Dave means that your under review to verify your information… I know this sounds stupid but it common for them to lie I would call them back if they still say under review it will take min of 30 days

Marie yeah so they will correct it and re process the return it takes about 14-18 days for that to be corrected

below is more details from when i posted to you a couple days ago and your reply.. so this morning my transcripts have been updated, the hold has been released with a 571, i have a 846 with a date of 3/09/15 and my previous years taxes havent been reviewed yet( their transcripts have been updated with a 590). Does this mean that i will get my refund on the 9th or before? and should i worry since the previous year still hasnt been reveiwed that they might cancel my refund?

I had a 570 and 971 on my transcripts for the past few weeks, i got a notice that my refund was being held due to a previous year not being filed, i had sent that year in when i realized that it hadnt been filed on 2-4-15. So i called yesterday and spoke to a nice helpful woman about it and she showed that the previous year had been received and not processed yet but she said she could release my 2014 taxes due to it showing that i will actually get a refund on the previous year instead of owing. my question is, how long does it take to update on wmr and/or the transcripts that the hold has been released and that my refund is being sent? i am probably stressing more about it than i need to but i have a bad feeling that they will continue to hold it even though she said it was released to be sent to me.

Hey ICH.

It’s a mix bag. Some days you can’t get through at all, and the 800-829-1040 number just won’t work, and you get that pesky recording (due to high call volume etc etc or something to that effect).

But that’s the one to call. The 1-2-2-4-1 prompts should work to get through (on those days they don’t have that darn recording).

The 3107 would only be to to check if you have any offsets (but not tax owing offsets, but more like child support or unemployment).

The 800-820-1040 seems to be working today; use the 1-2-2-4-1 to get through.

Update: No deposit, no changes on WMR (no bars, same refund amount, same 152 topic), no transcript. :-/

I’ll check tomorrow and Monday and will give an update.

I also filed and was received on 2/6. Sat on 1 bar, no info at all until yesterday when I finally showed approved with a DDD of 2/23. Hang in there everybody. They are really slow this year! I filed with HRB as I do every year. Usually have my refund in 5-10 days. Seems like I was still one of the lucky ones this year.

I lost my one bar 3 days ago, and went to return still being processed without the 152 tax topic, refund amount still showed. I just got off the phone with the IRS as today is 21 days, and was told that my return did get sent to the error resolution department, but not because anything we did but that it was the IRS’s fault and that my return would be finished processing sometime in the next 22 days. She said that she can see that it was an error on the IRS side because the code attached to it was some kind of generic systemic error code. Was glad that I feel that I got a somewhat straight answer to why it was being delayed.

Thanks for the reply Bart. I just got off the phone with the IRS and honestly I was quite surprised with their response. I was expecting the generic “you just have to wait and you will get a letter,” but they told me that our return was sent to the error department, not because of anything we had done but because of an error they had themselves, and told me that I would receive the refund sometime within the next 22 days. She said the code that showed a generic systemic error and there was no other issues other than the IRS mess up itself that was delaying our return.

I’ve been trying to get transcripts for over a week now. I get a “Registration Error”, when I click on the link it takes me to a page listing common registration errors, one of them being a Freeze from Equifax.

I know the information I’m entering is correct. I contacted equifax and there is no freeze on my account.

I don’t get any errors or messages about Identity Protection or anything like that.

Any suggestions of where else I can find info on not being able to access transcripts? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Finally some updates on my transcripts!

Checked this morning, nothing on wmr still, but when I checked my transcripts
I finally had code 846!
I had code 826 as well from owing back taxes. (Love when the husband forgets a w-2 or two from his odd second jobs!)
Now the question is how long will it take for the refund to actually be disbursed. The date the transcript is showing is 3/9 and I’m hoping against hope it doesn’t actually take that long.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate that you empathize. I’m really frustrated now. Today makes it exactly four weeks that I’ve been waiting. Hopefully, the waiting will be over SOON (and my credit card companies would be deeply grateful, too!).

Still no change this morning. Still the same NO nothing. I’m hoping that my refund won’t be too long after you receive your refund since you’re one day ahead of me.

The number (800) 829-1040 is not correct? But I got through to a receptionist twice using the prompts you’ve advised. Had the lines not been clogged, I would have gotten through to an IRS assistant, so I believe the number is correct. Is the (800) 305-3107 a better number to use then?

Received a letter in the mail stating that the bank rejected the return. It says a paper check will be mailed in 8-10 weeks. Says they are researching the account and it will take 8-10 weeks. Is this accurate? Im SOOOOOOOOOO hoping it’s not accurate!

I have had the same message for almost a month. I received a letter from OKTC requesting hard copies of W2s….and sent them in immediately. Yesterday I spoke to someone on the phone and was told that my W2s have not been received or scanned into the system and would I send them again! Really??

I sent the whole thing again via overnight FedEx with a signature required , but honestly , I am not holding my breath about getting my refund any time soon :(

I filed immediately when I got my W2 on Feb 30th…got my federal about a week later…The NJ portal says it has no record of my return yet, when I called 2 days ago the rep told me all their computer systems are down, that I should call back the next day, which was yesterday. according to the WMR tracker bar my return was accepted on 1/28. TurboTax said 21 days which was Feb 18th. The bar disappered about a week ago and it says it is still being processed. Tried to view a transcript and it has last years but n/a for 2014. Does this mean I’m being audited? Has anyone else had to wait this long? Did the snowstorm in DC delay things? How do I get a real person on the irs phone line? I need this money desperately! Any info will help ease my mind.

Just a mini update:

Two days after my tax advocate giving the irs the go ahead to process my return I see the account transcript is available, no return yet though. Problem is I can’t see it because I always get an error 122 technical difficulties.

Bart do you know why some people get that error? I have tried different browsers and no luck. I was able to download wage transcript a few days ago, not I get error 122 with that too. As well as old transcripts.

I’m just happy to see the account transcript on there, but now curious as to what it says.

Well just to give everyone an update. Went on my transcript this morning, Friday Feb 20th and now all my estimated taxes are there along with my 846 for the refund. I also have a date of March 9, 2015 to have my refund by. Nothing has updated on WMR but I am sure by Monday it will be. Guess I just need to be more patient. BTW Feb 24, Tuesday will be 21 days so we will see if I get it by then.

On Feb 13th I got the 570 freeze code with as of 2nd march date.
On feb 20th the top of transcript changed to as of March 9,2015 and the 570 code still has a March 2nd ,2015 date next to it.

ARGH!!! I just HAD to say that didn’t I? I woke up to be re sequenced! My AS DATE is now March 09! I jinxed myself! Well, so I’m waiting at least another week or 2. I guess there’s no point in obsessing over the few websites for a week or so. I cannot believe it happened just a couple of hours after my last post on this thread about “as long as I’m not re sequenced…blah blah” Bah!
