Filed and accepted on 1/26 finally got approved and transcript on 1/14. Transcript says 06/05 and wmr says 2/19. I’m having dd to the emerald card. Is there anyway it will come early. I’ve never had to wait this long for my return before

Any updates on your end? I am going out of my mind. Staying up late researching tax subjects over this. ALL of my transcripts have been available for about a week now. Everything is there, filled out. Nothing on WMR, just standard statement that it’s being processed. No bars, getting jealous of the people that had code 152 on theirs, at least then it seemed like things moved. I have a sequence code of 20150505 which meant that my DD was this past 11th but alas, no DD. Figures. I don’t even have a code 570 on my transcript which would at least explain the hold up. I seem to be stuck right before the touted code 846 and I filed on Jan. 31st. My husband keeps looking at me like wth? because he’s seeing all of his co-workers get theirs and they filed after us.

nikki its exactly as its shows sorry. your refund was frozen by the irs and your getting a letter because they either put you under review for what ur claiming or you have a id verify issue. i do suggest you call and see what letter your getting.. you might have to call 6 times to get a real answer..

memphismom the lost in bars on your husbands is very normal for the return going to the errors resolution department because they have to fix the return. most of the time the primary SS will have the correct information.. what i am saying is your not done processing they had to fix something without needing you and they your return will finish processing,
anything in errors res dept delays a return about a week.. so if it changed on 2/7 you should see and update this week with posted transcripts

I received a 12c letter on 2/5. I previously had 1 bar and tax topic 152. I filed on 1/21 and kept calling to see what was wrong and they kept telling me nothing. I faxed all the information over on Sunday 2/8. I was worried about them not receiving. I finally spoke to a helpful person who was willing to go the extra mile. She told me the 12c letter was closed on 2/9 which mean they received the information. She also told me I was on day 16, because my return was accepted on 1/29 but they were on 1/21. I didn’t dig deep into that because I wanted to know whats next. She told me I should have my refund within 30 days of my day of acceptance. She told me to keep paying attention to wmr. She didn’t even say it will take 6-8 weeks. She told me they are reviewing and processing. I am hoping and praying she was correct. I hope I will get an update tonight.

Me and my husband filed jointly (as we have for the past 9 years) on Jan 30 and were accepted shortly after at 5:30 a.m. On Feb 7 my husband lost his bars as well as topic 152 (refund amount is still there). However under my social I still have 1 bar, topic 152, refund amount, and 21 day generic message. (BTW if you have not guessed, my husband is listed first on the return).

When I log in to view transcripts everything has N/A except wage but I don’t expect that to be updated under mine since I’m a SAHM. My husband is unable to view the transcripts under his info because of the ISPU message.

Just hoping to get your insight on what you think could be the hold up. We have NEVER had to wait this long for our refund. We are expecting a new baby next month, and everything (baby stuff) was depending on this refund. I just feel so depressed. Please give me some insight as no one will from IRS will tell us anything as it has not been 21 days yet.

After contacting netspend several times to make sure we can deposit the refund in there, (haven’t used the card in six months, but have had my refund deposited in the same account for three years)they closed the account Friday morning and it came Friday afternoon.

Transcripts don’t acknowledge holidays… if they did the day would be pushed ahead. And no they are not always right. I got mine last year 2 days after my transcript said. it depends on the irs and your bank.

Ok so we file thursday night, and was accepted on the 6th. WMR still shows processing and no updates. So i sign up to get my transcript and get the dreadful ID theft error. Call in and the lady was rude as ever asking why do i need it now.. I just said im trying to see my transcript online from previous years as well, and i need to log in. She said nothing was wrong, so again still can not log in. Redial and another hour later, got a semi-rude person asking me questions to verified who i am, and went over the past 3 years. Seems one of my employers never sent them a w2 that i turn in, thus causing me to pay in 4k. So we work out the details on what i need to do. Long story short, i ask him i need access online to view my transcript and he said nothing was flagged and could be a issue with the system. He insisted that he cant see my return in the system for this year, I call BS on that. So anybody else file during that week and still got no update or able to get transcripts. IM due to get back 7k because of schooling and other credits.. Before they take out what i owe due to a technical issue..

Pleaseanswer the Answer is no they won’t just corrected and most cases don’t have the info fight off the bat. If it flags the system expect a long delay due to them verifying the with holding from your employer and your self .. If they do process the return and you get the money do an amendment return right away

But by that logic people scheduled for Friday shouldn’t get it till next Monday and people scheduled for next Monday shouldn’t get it till next Tuesday and so on and so forth. The system catches up at some point. I would think Tuesday would be that day, not sure why It wouldn’t catch up until Friday?

I know Monday is a holiday but wouldn’t that just push Monday deposits to Tuesday? I’m confused bc people say always go with transcript which is 0605 (Wednesday) but ddd is 2/19? Which to believe?

It actually makes sense that it would affect those dates. Because everyone’s cycle date would be moved up a day because 0602 won’t be sent till Tuesday. And even still depending on your bank you could get it early.

I filed on 1/30 and under federal withholding I made an error. Since it is an error that the IRS would have info on, would they just fix it? Could that be why I still have no bars and it says it’s processing?? Any help would be wonderful…..I’m so nervous. No transcripts also…..but I have an AS OF date of Feb 20, 2015. Hello Bart. I received an IP pin from the IRS today….exactly 1 month after I filed.
I read that not using this pin can cause a delay. if I call and tell them the pin…do you thin this mystical hold will be dropped.

Thanks so much for updating us! But in all honesty, you hadn’t waited 21 days, though it was close. It was 18 days. IRS didn’t begin accepting filings until 1/20.

For me, having filed 1/23 and accepted 1/23, I’m still waiting for the 2014 transcripts to even post and a change on the WMR. Still stuck at no orange bar (had disappeared on Monday, 1/9, never to return but it never moved before that), no change in the processing stage, and still stuck with the vague “will let you know when a refund date is available”.

Just had to post with regard to insane conversations:

I was accepted 1/20 and have been sitting at 570/971 for a while and no bars. Anyway I called yesterday for a TA. The gentleman (pfft) I explained my situation to him and his response was:

“Why do you need your refund?”

I wanted to ask him if that was a real question, but instead I decided to play along and respond with the fact we needed it to pay our bills (I was more specific, but don’t want to say here).

His response?

“Why can’t you pay those bills without your refund?”

Seriously!!??

Again I wanted to reach through the phone and smack him, but I calmly replied that we were counting on our refund. He proceeded to transfer me to the IRS main line.

I called back later and got another person who assigned a TA. Unfortunately they won’t call me til the end of next week.

So here’s an update: Both my friend and I filed and was accepted on 02/06. I called a TA and found out my return didn’t start getting processed until 02/09 as well as my friend. Last night wmr updated for both. I got a message saying my return is still being processed and a date will be provided when it is available. No bars or tax credit. My friend’s return is being review bit part of it has been sent with a cycle code of 20150605 on their account transcript along with other codes with code 846 refund issued. I, on the other hand, can’t even attempt to order mine, not even over the phone. I don’t understand why I can’t order my transcripts or why I don’t have a DDD yet. PLEASE HELP!! ANY INFO. Might not be helpful, as it was a 1040x mailed to California on 1-17 and shown in WMAmendedR as received on 1-21 (3 days inclusive not counting Sunday)

former year transcript updated, 2 days later WMAR updated to Adjusted with note that I’d receive a letter in 3 weeks.
Transcript said 20150503
Sent date said February 23 on transcript (last day it may be sent)
So I figured it would go out 2-9 by the cycle (0503)
Check arrived from KC MO. 2-14
Date on check was 2-11
So it looks like it may take 2 days in-house to hit the out box from the shown cycle date.
From then it was 3 days inclusive, no Sundays in between.

This may also hold true for 2014 returns as once you get a cycle its in the process regardless of what year – it’s just a piece of paper.

Caught enough interest on the check to pay for Valentines dinner out, so that’s nice and now I don’t have to fret about this year’s return which is past 21 days.

jacob yeah u have to wait until you process thats all you can do and sometimes the irs just draggs their feet and there is nothing you can do about it…

Hi Bart, Mr tax refund was rejected by my bank and warm has updated to my check will be mailed by February 23. Will it really take this long to mail the check? Also child support took my whole state and then took the full amount out of my federal refund causing them to take to much money. How will I get it back? My bank account number was missing a number causing the bank to reject my direct deposit. Will this effect the returned child support money?

See and my health info didn’t even change! I didn’t get it through marketplace I’ve always had it through work. So no penalties or help paying for it. Same kid, job, address…etc. but I’m thankful it isn’t like the folks that filed opening week, but it is a bit frustrating to see people that filed the same day as I did and some were up to 3 days!!! after I did, but had their refund yesterday. All I want is a DDD, and they’ve got cash in hand…LOL

It’s Murphy and his damn laws again! I’m gonna start a petition on Change.org to repeal Murphy’s Law! ;)

I woke up to a DDD of 2/19

I filed 2/6 accepted within an hour and WMR updated immediately with my return being accepted.

The IRS confirmed (I called) that my return wasn’t received until 2/9 for processing.

I was unable to order transcripts until yesterday. I also called the offset line yesterday and it gave me my DDD (because it tells you your refund has been offset and gives the date) without me seeing it being updated on WMR so I knew yesterday that it would be 2/19 ha ha.

I had the exact same problem. My return was accepted on 1/28 and status bars said return accepted but then two days later my bars went away saying your return is still being processed and a date will be given when available…it also had tax topic 152. Today, the 18th day, bars are back and it says return approved and your refund will be direct deposited to your bank on 2/19, if not received by the 2/24 to check with my bank. The 19th will make it 23 days since it was accepted so apparently they are just swamped. I did have health care through the marketplace and claimed that on my return so the speculation that if you had health insurance it would be delayed is incorrect. Hope all of you see your bars return soon!

Filed 1/29 accepted through turbo tax.. Really accepted 2/2… Around 2/5 my bars disappeared! Still had refund amount. With message of processing date will be available when available…

So I filed on Jan 13th got accepted on Jan 20th went from 1 bar to no bars on Jan 31.
Talked to 3 different peeps at IRS and was told ID theft flag 6-8 weeks.
Here’s the kicker the last one advised me that my E-file was
Converted to paper because of I’d flag and DDD would be
Between 3-15–3-30 and my 21 days started on 2-2-2015
They startled processing my return. I contacted the taxpayers protection hotline and they say I need to do nothing to verify myself the computers will sort it out. Transcripts say n/a when I try to order through mail. Any thoughts?
