CONTINUED: So, make sure you have a sound reason that you need the refund. Crap, this yr wr should all just be able to say bc of the economy! Best of lucj!
I had this happen to me a few yrs ago. . Here is a link that explains it well; y-tax-return-being-reviewed. Now, my suggestions, if you are in need of your return, get a tax advicate and they will expedite the return and you will not have to wait for the 30 day window, let alone the 180 day window. The advocare will let IRD know you need your money, for example, rent is behond and you need it to acoid eviction.
I received an email from TT saying my refund would be in my account by end of say tomorrow for DDD 2/26, but just got a notification 10 mins ago that mine posted in my acct! Mine went through Cross River Bank bc I applied and denied the 5 days early deposit! Happy that they didn’t hold until DDD, so anyone waiting on Cross River, it’s coming!!!
For some reason SBTPG has no record of my info. Every other yr I never had an issue pulling it up. So, I contacted TT frantic, and I was told bc I opted for the 5 days early, it doesn’t go through SBTPG. I don’t know if this is completely true, but I spoke to 2 reps and they both said the same thing. I did opt to have the fees taken from refund, but they said that doesn’t matter. I hope they are right!!!

Found it! Scroll down some and it says there’s a known error for a small amt of taxpayers where it continually says transcripts unavailable! Same thing here. I filed mine super early, always do bc I do them myself and like to get it done. Anyways, my basic return info (income and return amt) is listed, but when I click on tax records and transcripts, it says it is unavailable. I am getting annoyed. I did read that there was some issues and some ppl were experiencing this. I’ll try to find the web link I found it at and post.
I am having the same issue. I filed very early. I didn’t even know it would send it, but filed 1/7 and accepted 1/15. Walkingvthe long PATH. My refund amt and info for this yr is on my acct, but transcripts say unavailable. I’m usually a weekly, so I’m hoping it updates Friday morning! Pls keep me posted as you guys see your transcripts update!
Yes! I started a post earlier today about the same issue! A couple others said they were facing the same thing! Are you a weekly, because I have been historically a weekly, and hoping it updates Friday! I going to contact IRS tomorrow, and ask them what’s up with this, but I’m sure it’ll be like pulling teeth to get an answer, let alone speak to someone.
Hey, I received my refund, but i look occasionally to see if I can help with things I’ve gone through. So, I was accepted on 1/18,my transcripts literally said the same as yours, up until 2/16 when my refund was approved on my transcripts. Before then nothing!As for the verify identity, I had that on WMR & was told wait for a letter, when I went to check to see if the letter was sent on my transcript, it ended up being 846 and no need to verify, so hopefully this will happen to you!🤞
Got my deposit around 6pm est. I am with Chime, and had funds taken out of return! And I of course walked the PATH. Hopefully, everyone is starting to see those deposits!!!
Funded on Chime abt an hour and a half ago!!! Thank goodness it was all just BS!!!! Hope everyone has gotten or is getting theirs soon!
I think it was probably updating. Because it is up now and mine is showing funded.
Getting ready for work, and I just checked SBTPG, and mine now says funded! Do, hopefully they will send it to my bank today!
Not yet! I was hoping today they’d receive then tomorrow release to my bank, but nothing!
I have called the IRS 3 times tjis season, and every time I waited no more then 10 mins, so hopefully it’ll be quick for you!!!
My suggestion would be to get a tax advocate. They will definitely help you get the remainder of your money if IRS takes it. You can Google tax advocates and look them up for your area. IDK abt this being fixed before your DDD, but once you contact the TA, they call back within 24 hrs. I used a TA when IRS was doing a 60 day review, I explained I needed the money for rent and bills for me and my kids and the TA got it lifted in 2 days, so they work fast. Hey, guys, oddly enough yesterday on the Chime FB chat I received that generic msg that sorry we aren’t accepting TPG deposits, but then today it looks like a human actually answered me and said they are sorry for that information but they are. This is so confusing.
Ahh I missed that post. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this a private issue with that person and not with TPG as a whole!
I am not calling anyone a liar, as we may be getting told different things, but I have googled this and not seen any issues from 2024, I have looked at Chimes FB page, and not one comment from them regarding this, and lastly I spoke to customer service rep and they said that as long as name, social and DOB match, it will not be an issue. Also, more then 3 direct deposits for refunds in one acct will be denied. Hopefully, this is true!
I am a PATHer with CTC and EITC. Accepted with TT on 1/18. This year was going to be a pain in a$$ I thought bc the past 3 weeks I had a notice on WMR, and it said IRS was reviewing my refund and to protect me from identity fraud and process my refund faster, I needed to verify my identity. I made an ID.me acct and assumed I was waiting on a letter, but today my 2023 transcripts finally came up and it had code 846 for DDD 2/22! Woo hoo!
Hey, I had a similar issue. My WMR had a little different notification, but ultimately it was that IRS was reviewing my refund, and in order to protect my identity and to process faster I need to verify my identity. It’s been up there for 3 weeks and I did ID.me but thought I was waiting for letter. Oddly enough today my transcripts updated to 846, refund issued 2/22. So, pls check your transcripts and WMR in the AM and hopefully this will happen to many others! Good luck!
If you have a DDD OF 2/24, check your SBTPG acct again because an hour ago my acct was still unfunded, now it is funded!!! FINALLY! It says amount sent to you and has the money they took subtracted, but I believe they will be holding it for a bit before they actually release to my bank! Everyone keep your heads up..it is moving slowly, but it is moving!
Waiting on my refund for 2/24! I used TT and deposited to my Varo acct. Hoping Tuesday to see some movement, but seeing everyone’s comments abt issues with SBTPG this year, I don’t expect seeing it early! Idk why I didn’t pay up front, so mad at myself! Oh, well, fingers crossed!!!
I finally got into my transcripts and I got my 846 with a DDD of 2/24! This is the earliest and quickest refund I can honestly remember. Last year it took like a month and a half, year before about 30 days, year before that 2 months due to a 60 day hold, and before that I can’t remember too well! Lol! Just shocked bc they said it would be slow this year and I am a PATHer! Filed and accepted on 2/1 and like I said I always walk the long PATH. Til next year! Have a great year everyone!
