IRS doesn’t say it as far as I can tell, but Jackson Hewitt and a few other fairly reliable sources do, and it makes sense considering the weekend and holiday.

Amendments generally take a lot longer to process, but once you amended all processing on your normal return stopped and it will shift to the amended return.

I filed my tax return not realizing my son was still listed as dependent. I didnt claim any credits. When we noticed I amended it immediately after. Got message it was accepted. It’s didnt approve or process refund yet. The amendment didnt change the dollar amount by removing him. Today my ex tried to file his taxes. He called, he has a copy of both my returns (original and amended) but they said he would still have to do a paper return. Would they immediately process the amended return since it was before it was accepted/the original amount? Or will they flag it because he called them about the issue? Even though he asked them about it and gave them my name SS etc they said they couldn’t give him information, so I’m not sure if this causes an issue for me.

I did it through Credit Karma who works with Turbo Tax. They advertise the “up to 5 days early tax return” but nope didn’t get it early at all. Happy I have it now but heads up, I heard a lot of people that did the 5 days early had the same issue as me.

According to the IRS website, DDs for PATHers accepted on or before 1/27 will be disbursed in two batches, on 2/19 and 2/20. From there it will just depend on your financial institution.

Just finished verifying in person and it was really easy. She only asked for my 2024 return, id, and social security card. She didn’t ask me any questions, just held a conversation with me about the crazy weather and about how we are almost birthday twins. Lol. Did some typing and clicks and gave me the 9 weeks speech. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to hop on and say it seems like California is moving quick this year!! I filed through my accountant on Monday, 2/10 and my refund was already issued on Tuesday, 2/11. So like last year, if you bank with BofA, your refund will hit your account 4 business days after the issued date. I expect to get mine on Monday. I’ll report back either way.
