Verification letter

I received a letter today to verify my return. Had to enter the control number and 2 other pieces of info. Once I did that I received a message that said:

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the return verification process. We now have the necessary information to continue processing your return. Processing can take up to 9 weeks.If there are other issues, you may receive a notice requesting additional information that will extend the time that you’ll receive your refund.
You may check the status of your tax refund using Where’s My Refund or the IRS2Go mobile appafter 2 to 3 weeks.
Did anyone else have to do this??

DD just Dropped in! My 846 was for the 19th and I have Chime.. went from still being” to” being *processed on 3/12.. 3/13 I had a transcript update and here I am today with my DD in my bank! thank you all for being on this journey good luck to those of you who are not yet at the finish line you will get there real soon…until next year!

My TT account says refund received but I have no DD in my chime.

WMR changed from still being processed to being processed. Got some movement. I’ll check my transcripts tomorrow.

Call the tax advocate they said it my take 2 weeks just for advocate to be assigned to me. Smh hopefully I update this Friday.

Verified on 02/21 using the letter that came by mail. Weekly so I expect something by Friday. State is auditng me in Georgia so praying it goes better with feds!

My transcripts updated last night. Verified on the 13th. DDD 3/5.

I updated today 3/5 DDD only took a week after verifying!!

Just verified for my spouse now have the congratulations wait 9 weeks message I pray don’t take that long

My experience with this was last year.
Accepted 1/18/24
IRS account home page stated I needed to verify identity.
No online letters were present.
First letter sent, never received.
Requested 2nd letter, received 2/26/24, verified online, took 5 minutes.
Transcripts updated the following week, still saw msg stating I needed to verify.
DDD 3/13/24
WMR stuck at 1 bar with cash in hand.
Perhaps would have been faster if I had received the first letter.

Yes, it was on my home page and I requsted another one because I did not see it in my notices.

Did you ladies have the notification on your home page on your ID me account, or was it in the notifications and letters page? I have an alert on my home page. But it isn’t showing on the notifications and letters page. Only on my home page on my ID me account and on my wmr. Please let me know, thanks ☺️

I looked on my online account and saw that I have a letter coming to verify my return I guess this is what I have to look forward to as well
