I received the following info on irs page: We received your return and sent you a letter requesting more information. Please respond by following the instructions in the letter. If you don’t respond, your refund amount could be changed. It may take 2-3 weeks for you to receive the letter.

Has anyone else seen this before? Nothing has changed for me. I know
My return was rejected saying market place insurance but we don’t have marketplace insurance…I put 0 and it was accepted. Could it be this? What could it be?

Did you ever find out what the issue was? I received the same notice.

I received a letter today to verify my return. Had to enter the control number and 2 other pieces of info. Once I did that I received a message that said:
Congratulations! You have successfully completed the return verification process. We now have the necessary information to continue processing your return. Processing can take up to 9 weeks. If there are other issues, you may receive a notice requesting additional information that will extend the time that you’ll receive your refund.

                TC91,
I have checked my ID ME account, and I have both the notification on my ID me home page, as well as on my wmr. But, it’s weird because on my ID me account it shows on my home page, but not under the actual notification page. Praying it disappears with the update tomorrow.

You are missing something on your return. You will need to wait for the letter or call. It was nothing to do with the path. You will not update until you respond to what the IRS needs.

@Mstiffany424 you should be good. I wouldn’t worry until after the 15th when Path lifts. That might be a generic code. Have you signed into the irs and look at your account for any notifications?

I am on path, have had no updates on scripts. On wmr & id me it shows an alert stating I may have to give additional info for them to finish processing me, or may not need to. This only popped up close to 3 weeks after filing. Do you think it will go away after path lifts?

Thanks for your response. I only receive CTC so Im not on the Path. That’s what has me nervous. This is the time I typically get my refund, before the path lifts. I’m hoping they review and see nothing wrong. I looked at my tax paperwork and nothing out of the ordinary.

Yeah, if you are a PATH filer don’t worry about it. They never sent me the letter last year and I requested a new one also. It cleared after the transcripts updated after PATH lifted! If you get a letter, it’s easy to solve but if you aren’t seeing it on your WMR don’t worry. You have also already verified by doing the ID.ME so it’s all good!
