I was finally able to call in (today is my 21st day) I was told by some witch that my refund still has not been processed and that it was in the “posting” department which means they have up to 8 weeks from Feb 9th to process my refund. She never allowed me to ask questions like what is the “posting” department or if my return was accepted Jan 28th why did it take almost 2 weeks to get to another department. FML I still havent received a letter from the IRS and im just as lost as I was before I spoke with the witch today

So I was supposed to get mine on an Emerald card, called this morning and it was sent on the 17th. Then it shows 3 misc debits 2 for H & R fee’s then they took the rest of my refund out. Should I be worried or just hope it posts in the am?

My return was submitted and accepted 2/6. I received a DDD of 02/19 when I checked WMR on Saturday 02/14. I just checked with SBTPG bank (did my refund online through TurboTax) and they have received my refund today 02/18. Now I wonder how long before they send to my bank.

I filed 2/4 after 9pm CST. Accepted immediately.
No movement until saturday 2/14 when my transcript showed up approved with 20150701.
The WMR updated the same day showing Feb. 20 as my DDD.
AND it was deposited this morning! I didn’t pay filing fees so no going thru SBBT. & I use a credit union affiliated with my city.

I posted a couple times yesterday…filed and accepted 1/27 and called irs yesterday and they told me that refund was re-sequenced and they showed it as accepted on 2/16/15. well, all of my transcripts were available this morning and it finally changed from “no returned received” to code 846. so my question is How long after you get the 846 code on your transcript do you actually get a DDD? date on transcript changed from “as of 2/16/15” to “as of 3/9/15″….Is that the date I can expect a DDD? thank you for all of your input.

I just checked SBBT and they have received and released my funds already!! Netspend isn’t showing the deposit but this is awesome procgress!!!

CAMEO yes this is common for employement verification… the only thing tht i suggest you do is let your employer know and have them fax the irs what ever they want to verify as soon as they get the letter… thats the only thing that will speed the process up

erica G dont worry about them online if you can get them by the mail its def a good sign showing at least you were processed in 1-2 days wmr should update

UPDATE

I had lost bars on WMR over the weekend…still am missing bars, I have topic 152 and my refund amount is showing. After weeks of not accessing my transcripts I was able to access them. I am able to see three of four. Also I finally have a cycle code of 20150605 (2/19/2015)…but I don’t have 846…just 570.

DDD of 2/19, cycle 20150605…Republic Bank received my federal refund today 2/18, took their fees out, and released it to my bank. My bank shows nothing pending yet. I’m hoping it posts today or tonight…I have bills I’d like to send out, but I want to see the deposit in my bank before I mail a check anywhere. :-)

I guess just don’t get why mine was pulled for verification and is this true or was it just something they told me to keep me quiet because one lady said one thing and another lady said another thing.
Bad thing is I filed my dad’s an hour after I filed mine and he’s already gotten he’s refund back.

How did you get in contact with the IRS or a TA? I filled and got accepted on 01/28 and all my WMR says is “Your tax return is still being processed, a refund date will be issued when available.” My refund amount is still showing up on the left side though. Jodi when you found out the bank rejected the funds and had to wait for a check did the wmr ever update? I was supposed to get my refund on 2/10 but it was rejected same day and the irs confirmed they received it back on the same day as well so did they mail a check the same day? and if so I should get my refund between today and fri because yesterday was a holiday in new Orleans and no mail passed. I will keep everyone updated because the nice lady I just talked to said the numbers with the bank didn’t match that’s why I got the 1121 code and it will take 8-10 weeks for a paper check

Called my bank yesterday and they said there were no pending deposits. None the less, my refund posted to my account at 12:00am this morning. WMR still has just 2 bars.

Ok a little update from yesterday. My 2014 return transcript is now available but I still cannot view it online everytime I put my information in to be viewed online it say “Cannot verify identity at this moment” but I was able to order it through the mail…does that mean anything? PLUS WMR is still saying “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” Is my 2014 transcript now being available a good sign?

Filed mine through TT on 2/2 accepted within an hour. All bars have been missing since 2/4 on WMR. Tried to get my transcript on 2/10 only to be told that I needed to contact the IPSU (ID Theft). Called them twice & was told both times I had no red flags on my account for ID Theft. 1 of those 2 reps told me my refund wasn’t accepted until 2/3 & that I needed to wait the 21 days. Called back again yesterday & was told that I needed to wait the full 21 days … I wouldn’t see a transcript until them (but so many others have theirs so why can’t I) asked him why I was being flagged for ID Theft & he said he didn’t know. He was absolutely not help @ all. I’ve never had any issues filing & have always gotten mine back within a week. This has got my anxiety level to the top. I rely on this refund. I’m a single mother.

Good Morning everyone. I just wanted to give a brief recap and update.

Filed a joint return Jan 30 and was accepted the same day. Feb 6 husband lost bars, and tax topic 152 but still had amount. Feb 16 I finally lost my bar and tax topic as well. I could log in to see my transcript but they all said N/A. Hubby could not log in due to IPSU message.

Well my tax advocate called today and let me know there had been a stop on our return. She started asking if we have had any identity theft issues in the past, or if someone has tried to file using me or my husband’s ss#. I told her no, not that I know of. Well anyway she verified some personal info, and then verified certain lines of the tax return. She said that since everything was matching up she would let them know they could continue processing our return. She said we would give them 1 week to do so and that it could take up to 3 weeks after that notification to actually see our money deposited into our account. She said she would call me by March 11, but if she got any information before then she would let me know.

So hopefully we will get our money soon. I sure hope so. I’m due March 30th with a high risk pregnancy so this can’t come quick enough.

I have a DD for 2/19 as well and Im impatiently waiting like everyone else. I opted for my refund to go onto the TT Netspend card for the first time. I have gone to several sites where I am seeing tons of complaints as recent as 2/16 that within a couple transactions or days, Netspend is locking accounts and requesting people to send in utility bills, ss card and dl copies via fax to verify their identity. In doing so, the customer service reps are rude and disconnecting phone calls and claiming to have not received any paperwork even though its been faxed several times. Then when they finally “say” they got it, they still will not release the lock for days and even up to 2 weeks after many more phone calls!! I am terrified to use my card after I get my DD. I dont want to get stuck waiting again for my money with this mock IRS card company. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them with netspend? Im stressin out AGAIN!

chantami the TA will prolly drag their feet and wont help much honestly but they do have access to your file so they can see a lot more then us

alice seems like they had to fixe something in ytour return the caused the refund to be frozen then un frozen and the amount at the bottom is what you are getting back… abd the 3/2 is the “latest” date of the cycle so you will get it on the 19th

I filed with TaxAct on 1/30 and it was approved by them and accepted by IRS in a matter of minutes. I still show from WMR still processing no date no action no resolve. I have attempted to contact IRS and every avenue has been exhausted with no luck. It would seem to be impossible to get ahold of someone that can help. I sent an email to Taxact support waiting for some form of assistance or guidance however have not heard back from them. I know this is frustrating however it is some small comfort that I am not alone.. This blog has help me not freak on one someone and honestly I don’t know why other than have no power or control over any of this is driving me a little bonkers. We pay taxes on goods and services. State (for some) Federal tax, property tax, tax for shipping, taxed if you get your money from a long term investment or 401k when you need it. Then when it is time for you to get some of your hard earned money back the government says hold up be patience. I guarantee you if I owed the Federal government money and said hold up the would garnish my wages and hold all further returns until paid. Seems really one sided and frankly I love America I am an ex marine served my country proudly however the government control on our way of life and the way this country is going honestly concerns me. Anyway enough of my rant long story short you are not alone. Hopefully all works out and if it doesn’t do what I do. Take a step back breathe and realize as long as you live in America there are just certain things you cant control and taxes are definitely on of them. good luck and have a blessed day.

I’ve been sitting with no updates since 1/29. I got my sate refund on 2/9. Usually my federal comes first. Tomorrow will be 21 days. I think the IRS works at it’s pace it wants to and they can tell you anything they want. We are at they’re mercy. We have filed with Turbotax for about 10 yrs. Maybe next year we will go with a local tax preparer.

We just found out this happened to us. Someone filed a 1040ez with my husbands social. It was immediately flagged. We are very high income earners and have 3 dependents.

Anyway… Our accountant is handling it. We always have to pay, and did not file 2014 yet. So we would not have been waiting for a refund check. Hopefully, it will be straightened out by the time we file so it is not kicked back.

The exact same thing happened to me last year and again this year. Last year I got my refund on the 21st day. If you have a simple return, no dependents etc. you get no hang ups on your return. If you do have dependents or other “out of the norm” things on your return do not expect it before 21 days. The IRS implemented a new “fraud detection” software and all returns with certain things are processed through it and it takes time. This is what I was told when I called the IRS last year.

I had a 570 and 971 on my transcripts for the past few weeks, i got a notice that my refund was being held due to a previous year not being filed, i had sent that year in when i realized that it hadnt been filed on 2-4-15. So i called yesterday and spoke to a nice helpful woman about it and she showed that the previous year had been received and not processed yet but she said she could release my 2014 taxes due to it showing that i will actually get a refund on the previous year instead of owing. my question is, how long does it take to update on wmr and/or the transcripts that the hold has been released and that my refund is being sent? i am probably stressing more about it than i need to but i have a bad feeling that they will continue to hold it even though she said it was released to be sent to me.

I used TT and my return was filed and accepted on the 4th. Absolutely no movement. My transcripts still say N/A. I was starting to get paranoid as this has never happened to me before and I’ve seen other people get their refunds already and they filed after me. I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong, but it eats away at me each day I check for movement and get nothing.
