I received a CP 2000 last December saying owed about $3000 more for 2022. I filed a dispute in January by certified mail because they are wrong about the amount I owe.We filed our taxes on February 10 and last night refund was approved and got a DDD of 2/22.
Will they hold the refund, or will it be deposited on 2/22?
I filed this year the same as i did last year. CTC and EITC with fees taken out. People are right when they say a day early. Checked my CK trans history and it showed the day before. Won’t be first thing in the AM tho. IIRC it was between 6:30 and 7pm eastern but it was there early.
(cont.) i filed mine this past tuesday the 13th and mine did not update. my friend filed his the next day on the 14th and his updated when the holds lifted. the systems can only process so many returns in a day so if yours was not updated on friday, it will most likely be updated either overnight tues into wed or thurs overnight into friday. i hope this helps you better understand the process. it stinks but unfortunately that is how its done.
(cont.) its as if the bin was handed over to someone and they just reached in and grabbed a stack of them at once all with different dates they were filed. the systems do not process in the order filed and received. this is why some people who filed right as tax season opened got theirs processed and others did not and why those who filed later dates did.
so to give you all a clearer understanding of what happens when the PATH Act lifts, this is how it goes down. when you file a return that involves the PATH Act, your return is put in to a batch with all of the other PATH returns. think of your return as a file folder that is thrown in to a huge bin with all the other ones. this past Thursday when the hold lifted, the IRS systems started randomly processing returns.

I hope so! My first time to do advance with TT and I just had the fees taken out from refund. As of today, my order details on TT still shows payment pending for their fees.
My data is like most here. Same dates.
All a marketing scam have you heard or seen someone get theirs in 5 day’s at any of those places???? Since I ever filed with Netspend and credit karmer it was always 1 day before the refund date. Even if I paid fee’s upfront 1 day before and each year it seem to get higher and higher from original 2 day’s. Making folk leave one to go to the next thinking it will be faster and is the same thing!!!
And they all be saying come get a advance ONLINE were eligible making folk think they will get that advance making us apply and DON’T IT!!! That is wrong how they mislead folk and need to be put on the spot by GOVT about using us pretending like they TRUST US but having no plans of approving alot of us off the top. It be the ones on the job for 20 years with “a” plus credit they give the advance too while online!!
Those local tax stores give folk advance loans based on the amount they getting BACK after doing their taxes and charging like $700 fee’s folk with multiple kids EIC, ACTC CTC no other reason but the online don’t TRUST many of us average joes tricking us as if they are going to give us those advances having no real intentions.
tricking us into becoming their customers 5 days early, advances, and they will charge less and don’t etc.. Hey if I could give “EVERYONE” online an advance like $500 after IRS accept them I’d do that!!! Just pay me $100 extra when your $$$ comes 2/22 and can do this every year for those that need that during this waiting process!!! It should be forced that they make it mandatory of 3 days early min!!! besides just verbally saying it’s up to 5 day’s knowing it’s 1 day before deposit schedule!
Every year there is always a rumor about SBTPG…and I am pretty sure this is the exact rumor. Unless you entered incorrect banking info for your deposit once they take out their fees, everything will be fine. I’ve been filing for over 10 yrs with SBTPG and they are definitely slow, they hold onto the money until the last minute, but it always works out.
Oh and my as of date, processing date, and 570 date are all 3/4 now
I was accepted 1/29, as of date updated to 2/19 on blank transcripts 2/2, didn’t budge for 2 weeks, then I filled in with 570 this past Friday. WMR is delayed message with bar and topic 152
Not sure if this is the reason or have a connection,but I been reading different sites of the famous 570 hold and notice that alot of people have been accepted on 1/29 . I am one of those people accepted 1/29 ?? Any one else ??

You guys will like this. The status of my return changed to “refund approved, deposit to be made in your bank by Feb 22 (today is Feb 17). So tonight I needed to go on my banking app for something, and the refund was already in there! Based on the message on IRS2Go, I expected to see it next Thursday, which is the 22nd, at the earliest. I suppose this means as soon as the status changes to “approved,” your refund could show up at anytime. Good luck!
Same “incorrect information ” message Then yesterday I got a 404 . I am so relieved that nothing is actually wrong per-say just glorious technology!
Same Cycle 20240605, accepted 1/29. No movement on WMR since last week still has the path message with 1 bar, No updates on transcripts last code is 570… the waiting game in full effect
I combined 3 threads to this one so you would all be together. Somebody had a good idea of separating people that actually get funded, but many people just leave and don’t come back. If you do get funded, please let us know.

Following this for updates! I have a 570 with 150 and 806, and my IRS account page (not transcripts) has all of my 2023 return info along with 0.00 balance owed for 2023. So it looks processed, hoping this turns into a 571 next week!
@Brycenkenz This is the second time we have heard the “ended their contract” speech. Very suspect.

Have the ACTC/CTCTranscripts still show NA for 2023 (can only see prior years). We’ve seen where other people with the same filing dates and credits already have updates for their taxes. Trying to see if anyone else out there is seeing the same as us and no updates as of yet?
@kat there are so many different stories that I’m waiting to hear from tpg Tuesday. There is a blog on chimes Facebook page. Most people are saying this is a scam because nobody with tpg has not even been funded yet. People who got loans went through credit karma and people with state taxes came from the state. We are being lied to. Chime told me that tpg ended their contract with them. I don’t believe they would do that during tax season

I did TT, filed and accepted 2/9, fees paid upfront, no advance, ckc card for dd. I still have the processing wmr, n/a for top two transcript options, as of date 3/4.

Filed 2/8 accepted same day…wmr says it is processing…. Transcripts has as of 3/04 but everything is blank no returns have been filed…tt states it will be 2/29 for dd…always file same time every year either 05/07 seq code but nothing has moved!!!
I am in the same boat. Filed on the Feb 2nd and I am a PATHer and weekly.
No movement on WMR and the bottom two on my transcripts have 2023 with nothing filled in and the top two have N/A for dates
This happened to me last year and didn’t get my refund till March 15th I am not sure what is going on.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a check from SBTPG? It’s looking like I’m going to have to switch from direct deposit to check since sofi is rejecting refunds.

Has anyone used SBTPG to take their fees out of their refund THIS year and already received their funds? I heard they have rejected some IRS refunds because of a bank coding problem and if that happens to your refund SBTPG will either send a cashiers check to you or send it back to the IRS. If it goes back to IRS it could be 10-12 weeks to issue you a paper check.

My WMR and transcripts haven’t updated at all. Filed 1/7 and it’s been accepted for awhile now and this is the first year I have been able to login to my transcripts and irs account. I wouldn’t even have known I needed to “Verify my tax return information” if I didn’t get on the irs website this year because I have not received a letter or update anywhere. On my account I have a notification that says I need to verify my return info, and I’m waiting on a letter in the mail.
Filed 1/ 29 accepted 1/29 Wmr updated to DDD of 2/22 on 2/16 H&R block filer with loan and fees taken out of refund no deposit yet but hopefully soon also state has already send my return
@Amber, thank you for not calling anyone a liar. People are getting so worked up about this. Understandably so.
Here is where I stand on the TPG SBBT SBTG Chime rumor:
They have come out on their FB page saying one thing, and in private chats saying another. Some people have received their deposits, some are saying rejected.
So let’s stop saying it’s A LIE.
We share the information we have and don’t call each other out like assholes.

I am not calling anyone a liar, as we may be getting told different things, but I have googled this and not seen any issues from 2024, I have looked at Chimes FB page, and not one comment from them regarding this, and lastly I spoke to customer service rep and they said that as long as name, social and DOB match, it will not be an issue. Also, more then 3 direct deposits for refunds in one acct will be denied. Hopefully, this is true!

HRblock advance with fees taken out. I decided to get my funds loaded on my Emerald card this idk why but called the 800 number for the emerald card and it has received the funds but gave me a DD date of 2/22! I hope it’s sooner but reading the comments I’m skeptical lol Should’ve had them loaded to my bank! But on a good note…. This week! Better sooner than later si🙏👍
Does anybody know what it means when you update to “tax return is still being processed” and Tax Topic 152 gone? I see people saying it means ID Verify but I used a IP PIN?
Is anyone getting a refund offset message on wmr? Is this a general message for everyone once you receive your DDD?
If not does anyone have the number I can call to check? My DDD is for 2/22
