Assuming I get a letter next week, does the person who is listed first on the return need to be the one to verify if that’s what the issue is or does it not matter? I ask because I am more than willing and able to call and sit on hold for hours because I have time but my husband unfortunately does not because he’s working constantly and he really doesn’t have the time to do so.

I called and talked to a representative. One said my letter should have already been here. Called again and they said it was never sent, so she transferred me to the verification people. It took a few call backs and about 3 hours of my day. They asked me questions and said I’m verified and should update in a week or two…

Oh, and I’m a daily (02) filer. Used to be a weekly (05). Don’t know if this has anything to do with the unusually longer delay. Anyone else out there in a similar boat??

I’ve seen so many different explanations for the as of that I’m not sure even the IRS knows lol. I filed 1/28, was accepted 1/29. 570 code and processing date 3/4, 971 code and as of date 3/11. I’ve seen ppl with the same codes and dates as me update and get a DDD and I’m still not seeing any movement. I hope you do update soon love. Good luck

We had ours mailed last year too. No explanation either and we’ve banked with the same bank for years and have always had direct deposit. Don’t worry, they’ll send the check soon if it’s already been processed. You can signup with usps to get emails and see what’s coming in the mail that day. Just a heads up, we saw the check in the email but the check wasn’t in our mailbox until a couple days later so don’t worry if that happens also. Good luck!

All 4 transcripts are completed and filled in and viewable with the correct return amount with the (-) in front of the number. My processing date and as of date are both 3-18. The 570 code also has date of 3-18 with $0.00

Is it possible to get updated to 846 code next Friday? What does the 3-18 date mean?

It could sometimes be the amount it might be a larger amount,the names on account don’t match not sure other reasons but those are the two reasons for sure. So if the account and name on refund don’t match they will reject it and i know some banks only accept a certain amount and if that amount exceeds the deposit amount they will send mail

Filed and excepted 2/22. No real updates yet but I’m fairly optimistic. Seems this year things are being processed very quickly. Many others seem to be taking slightly under 2 weeks and getting deposits before anything ever updates

Filed 2/15, accepted 2/15, WMR updated this morning 3/2 to refund approved and DDD of 3/6. Now waiting on SBTPG to receive and release funds to my bank. Does anyone know how often SBTPG updates, on certain days? Do they receive the funds early and release early? Or will I have to wait until DDD of 3/6?

We verified in person 2 days ago. Transcript still blank basically.

WMR with my wife’s info shows the processing message and my info shows the verify id action required still (which is why we had to verify in person to begin with).

We weren’t sure how long all this takes to update

Just checked WMR, and after a longer than usual wait, I’m finally at refund approved. However, it says my refund will be MAILED, when I selected DD. I logged into to TT and double checked my routing and account numbers, and they’re correct. Why would they mail vs DD? Anyone have this happen? I’m livid about it.

We had in person verification at IRS office 2 hours away. Wasn’t in there maybe 10-15 minutes. They said they released our return for processing and gave us the “9 weeks message but may be sooner,” talk.

Anyone do this same process? If so, when should we expect to update and hopefully see a DDD?

UPDATE: No update to transcripts still showing no return filed and freeze code 810 but my as of date changed to March 18th. Now my WMR says my return is “Still” processing. I know thats not what I want to see… so I guess I wait till next Friday to see if transcripts update …

I just had something weird happen to me. And it has me a bit nervous. Earlier this morning all of my transcripts were available. But now the top two transcripts are saying “N/A” again. My return transcript still shows code 846 with a DDD of 3/6.

Has this ever happened to anyone before??

I was accepted on 1/27. Did my Bf’s return on 2/1 he received his refund on 2/28. I called Monday for an update because I had N/A for transcript and no movement on WMR. Was told that there was some processing delay that would take 9 weeks. Distraught yet hopeful I checked my transcript a few minutes ago and I have code 846 with DDD of 3-6. What a stressful tax season.

This is what I found online regarding same dates or different dated for codes 570 and 971… same dates apparently means good news:

“If you see the same date next to Code 571/Code 572 as is next to Code 971, you can generally expect to receive your refund within 3 to 6 weeks. However, if there is a different date next to Code 571/Code 572 than the date next to Code 971, this generally means more processing is needed and you can expect more of a delay before receiving your refund”
