If your refund goes to Santa Barbara Bank first, you will get your refund issued to your bank that day. At that point, it’s all up to your actual bank regarding when they post it. Mine was the next day, but happened on a Saturday. SSTB received my refund on Friday.

Based on replies, I guess it’s just luck of the draw. Fingers crossed I’ll be next. It would be nice to see it before the weekend, but if not then it’s still good that we’re not seeing an excessive delay.

@ally27 – YES.

I just spoke to someone I know who processes returns at the IRS, and they said that the Cycle Date is the date you are processed and completed. NOT the date you get a DDD. I am not sure of the date the 20150402 refund will be posted to accounts, but that Cycle Date is not the date. Again, it is the date you are processed and what cycle you are.

Also, if you take the date the cycle was processed (January 26, 2015), count 21 days from that date and that is why you get the “refund issued on 2/16” message on your transcript. This is all coming from someone who actually works at the IRS and processes our returns – not people who research online. But again, most refunds are issued before the date given on the transcript. For instance, my transcript last year stated 2/26 as a refund issue date, and I received it on Saturday the 8th.

Transcripts are avail for 2014 with the same cycle code everyone is posting. Except I don’t have the refund code 846. I have the usual codes, plus the one for not having insurance and owing that $$. No codes for a freeze or review or anything. What gives?? Anyone else not have 846? Do you think they’ll update again? I was accepted 1/21, etc etc.

I took a look at my return info for last year 846 refund issued cycle 20140804 and i received my DD on February 25th.

So Im going to expect this years to be DD by the 3rd. Earlier than that, we shall see.

@ chynadoll, provided you have a code 846 on your transcript, and based off of everything that I have read (and assessed), it should be with you by Monday, possibly even Friday.

An 846 code is essential. Let’s hope we’re right!

I went to the irs website and transcripts do not mean you are not getting your refund. According to the website you can not determine your refund from transcripts. I think people have convince themselves that it does. Last year I couldn’t get transcripts until march but received my refund in February. Read below.

My bars disappeared this morning as well, no refund amount, but still showing TT 152. I was hoping this year they would not disappear. They did though and I am hoping it’s not a big issue like last year. I had to wait 8 weeks. But that was because my account has an ID Theft flag on it, so someone has to manually look at my return and approve it to be sure it is me, etc. Waiting until tomorrow then going to call.

posted from an admin… I want to try to clear up some confusion about the cycle dates. The cycle date is the date you posted to the master file. Posting cycles run from Friday to Thursday. Friday starts 01, you skip Sat and Sun, going to Monday with 02 and so on and so forth. Thursday is 05. So, a cycle date of 20150402 means you posted on 1/26/2015. You add 4 business days to that and your DDD is 1/30/2015. Congrats to everyone with the first cycles of the year!

@AMBER I really don’t believe that Friday is 01. Its really either Thursday or Monday. With it being Monday, it would be the date your return was processed, then add 4 days to that and that when you will receive your money. Or it is Thursday and Thursday night is when your return will be transmitted and that is your refund date.

SO if WMR is ONLY updated 1 times a day, how come when we all got notices that we ere accepted we suddenly could see that on WMR…Wouldn’t that mean its set to real time. @ALLY27 nothing was directed at you in any way, my post – posted after yours – because I was typing for a minute and you posted before I could. It wasn’t directed towards you. Also, thank you @Melissa. I was only getting hostile with one person and that was because I created this post, to do my best, to help people interpret their tax transcripts and to shed some light on the cycle dates for the hundreds of people asking what they meant and somebody got hostile with me for trying to do so. Instead of in a friendly manner, or so I took it. This post has served its purpose though…

IT ALSO SEEMS like @ordinarytaxpayer may be correct in that it is the day of the week processed. Because if you think about it, 2 people just in this post received theirs on a Thursday last year. One persons ended in 05 and one in 01, if its the processing day PLUS 4 for refund, then it seems if it was processed on a 05 (Friday) then 4 business days later would be Thursday and if it was processed on 01 (Monday) then it could very well come Thursday as well or Thursday night/FRIDAY morning. Either way, we all now know that we will be getting our refunds at the end of this week.

I filed early last year and I did not receive my refund until the end of March. I never called the IRS, just listened and read posts on here last year. I was finally mailed a letter at the beginning of March for ID verification. I will not file early this year because of the delay from last year. I filed january 12th and was accepted prior to the opening date (january 30, 2014). I kept being re-sequenced and re-sequenced. I believe the people who “File early” are resequenced many times. A lesson I learn, not to file prior to the opening date!

I have not been able to view my transcripts either, but, this is the first year I have education credits. ( went back to school In 2014). I am not sure if this will cause a delay or not, I hope not!! I know A few years ago people with school credits had to wait to file, but I did not see anything like that for this year. Filed 1/21 accepted approx. 10 minutes later 1/21

I use Netspend so that’s probably why I had my direct deposit on Wednesday instead of Thursday. WMR gave me 2/20 as the ddd. If you bank with a regular bank it will be the day WMR says. I stopped using my bank because they would hold my dd for 3-5 days!

Last year I was accepted on the 2nd and had my direct deposit on the 12th…That’s only 8 business days…not too shabby…8 business days will be the 30th…will wait and see! I was looking at information that was posted not long ago regarding the refund cycle. This is what one person stated:

02 IS MONDAY THIS YEAR
Code 846 is refund and 2015 is year, 04 is the week of the year, and 02 the day.

IMF Daily Processing
IMF processing will be daily except on weekends. Some transactions post to IMF on a daily basis as opposed to during the weekly cycle.
IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined:
01 = Friday
02 = Monday
03 = Tuesday
04 = Wednesday
05 = Thursday

I looked at my transcript from last year and my refund cycle code was – 20140601 – Using the above information – 2014, 06 is the 6th week (1st week of February) 01 – Friday.

This would make my deposit date last year the first week of February on that friday. That date was 02/06/2014, and that was the date I received my refund. It certainly adds up :-)
