2020 return was in the errors dept since August 2021. Had to get assigned a tax advocate. Was never asked to provide any documentation.

@saminKY I know it will not be that long. The reps are trying to get us off the phone. Until the processing department does their job, the reps try to keep it short. They act like they’re not able to see certain steps and or screens but they told me 10 weeks and it was definitely not that long.

Don’t know where my comment went but okay so my cycle is 20220507 with dates of 3/7 no changes on transcript called and was told still processing and til give them til 4/8 my refund had to recalculated and reduced b/c incorrect ATC amount the tax preparer only entered one of my letters when I had 2 cause for some reason they split mine and hubby ATC.

I too had 3/21/22 and was updated to 846 showing 3/16/22, with a code that said resolved. I am confident we all will wake up with a WMR update if it’s on the transcripts.

Well, got a letter today. Turns out our return was sent to the “Rejects Team” (it’s literally called that lmao) because our Schedule A was “missing or incomplete” and they needed documentation for our Presidentially-Declared disaster losses (our house was very badly damaged in Hurricane Ida). So I just had to fax all that documentation. It says 6-8 weeks from “the time we receive your response”. Oh well. At least now I know what the hold up is.

I’m going through the same thing. I received my taxes but now on my transcript it’s another 766 code with a – beside the amount. I’ve received 3 different answers from the irs. 2 representative have said I will receive and the 3rd one said they weren’t sure

Yeah buddy I got 846 release code for the 16th. Even though they’re only releasing part of my refund right now it’s still something. My stimulus money is showing up on there but they haven’t released that. I’m on the phone right now waiting to ask why. That lady I spoke to a few days ago had to be able to see what was going on so I’m not sure why she didn’t tell me more than she did

I got 846 code refund issued then the date says 3/16 on my transcript, but when I check WMR it still says the same ,your return is processing so we will see if I get it next 3/16 or sooner I’m going to check my wmr again tmrrw

I am so tired of waiting on this every year and every year I say I am not relying on the refund, but I am never able to get to that point… I swear, double edge sword. @Ashley it will change soon, I was just thinking the same thing on Wednesday. Filed 1/25 and no good movement until 3/10 tax topic came back, amount left. The next day today all Transcripts are available. I have the 570 just waiting on the DDD like @Monica just posted. 🥰

Just got my refund this morning. WMR still shows processing message without refund amount. Refund was $1400 less which shows me even though I was VERY specific that I DID get my stimulus stupid turbo tax still added it and that probably delayed my refund. My return wss accepted the first day the season opened up.

@Jessecka I don’t think it will be the 28th, hopefully we will update sooner thinking tomorrow or Friday with actual DDD… Checking today did you have 846? Or 570? I updated today with as of 3/28/22 no 846 though only 570. I spoke to someone just now she said I should see something before 3/28/22. The 4-15-22 don’t worry about that date.

@Iambroke they told me 10 weeks as well. It’s been 6 1/2 weeks I filed 1/25/22. It won’t be that long, they’re finally moving along.

This is some F’d up S. I followed advice from IRS to file early this year and I did on 1/27. I am 05 weekly and was expecting some update but nothing at all. I did everything correct as per IRS agent which I contacted three times so far, and every time they tell me to wait another 10 weeks. What the F is going on?! Where the F is my F’ing refund!!!

I filed on Monday 2/28 accepted the same day. I had bars for a couple of days but they have since disappeared. The only thing that displays in tax topic 152 and the FAQ sections. No transcripts available yet and I filed through turbo tax and elected to have the fee’s withheld from my refund. Single, no children or credits. multiple employers in 2 different states.

Called yesterday about no movement and was told I had to wait 10-20 weeks for my refund due to wage verification. Woke up this morning and got a date on transcript for 3/16… So that tells you by calling irs doesn’t help because they don’t know what they talking about… Now let’s see if the transcripts are on point.. Next year not filing until after the PATH is over. Seeing where a lot of people filed late February and had it back first week of March. I learned my lesson.

@Carole this has been the worst tax season I’ve ever experienced. IRS says they’re backlogged and still working on 2020 returns. Most of us filed in January, and we’re just seeing movement this week. Other years it was only 9 days or so and I would have my return back. They’re finally moving along it’s coming.

If you can’t reach the IRS call Tax Advocate office @ 877-777-4778 option 1 and 1 again. Ask to be transferred to accounts management. This is how I’m able to reach them, other numbers don’t work.
