Since 1975, the law has changed a few times. Under current law, the IRS must wait until mid-February to begin issuing refunds to taxpayers who claim the EITC or the ACTC. Just means they had to make a correction/adjustment to your refund amount. Maybe you owed money?

So update Friday 1/27 with ddd for 2/1. But WMR is showing TC 203. TOP is saying there is a debt for state taxes from when we lived in another state( current state doesn’t have state tax). We settled the debt back in June 2022(didn’t have to pay just file back taxes for that year) and received a letter from the state tax commission that the debt had been canceled. The debt was less than what my refund is and there is only 1 846 code and I feel like if it had been offset it would have 2. I’ve been offset before and when the debt was more than my refund there was only 1 but when it wasn’t there was 2. Anyone have a similar situation?

This is how it always goes for me the last 2 years. Refund in my bank the week after I file. WMR always updates a few days after I get my refund. Shows one bar now but that doesn’t change until I get my DDD.

I filed mine through freetaxusa with the middle class act refund in 1099 MISC section for federal also entered it in for State. Taxes were submitted on 1/23, accepted 1/24, and my transcripts show return has been processed but no refund date yet because of PATH. My as of date is showing 02/13

Don’t worry about TT to much , go on WMR and if you see at least 1 bar, your good. But nothing on WMR and TT then you would need to look see everything is filled out correctly.

I filed my California tax refund using Tax Slayer on 1/26. Their software was a lot more difficult than turbo tax & I ended up not entering the Middle a class Refund as well. I’m not sure how much that will affect my return but I will keep you all posted. As of today my FTB account still says I haven’t filed my return so I can’t even track it

No update for my daughter last night. even though their site says they update every evening. My daughter and I was assuming as I stated before that they update on certain days this tax season and not every day anymore. We decided that we will keep checking every night to see the pattern of which night they actually update and keep notes for next year.
