Any updates?
AnonymousSo glad to hear that some of y’all who called the IRS today got NICE reps. I however, did NOT! The man I spoke with gave me no info whatsoever. I didn’t give him any kind of excuse… I just told him that I have been a ghost the whole time on WMR and that I was concerned because of previous years ID theft. He was so RUDE! Not just that he wasn’t helpful… he was a real pain in the a**! Anyway, he told ME that I had to wait 3 weeks to show up on WMR… I knew he obviously was new this year and thanked him for his ‘help’ and hung up.
I am only going to check once a day until Friday. If I haven’t had any kind of update as of Friday I am going to call again and hopefully get a nice rep :)
Hoping for DD’s for all of us 31’ers!
AnonymousI’m a 2/7. I hope i get it.
AnonymousFiled and accepted late 1/31/13 with TaxAct.
Transcript not available, still processing, 21 day generic message.AnonymousI called this morning also, and was told it was delayed by 3 or 4 weeks due to fact that they haven’t processed 2 previous years returns yet. So I am fine with that. Otherwise nothing is wrong.
AnonymousI am expecting late 2/5 or very early 2/6 based on years before, but I am still hoping for late 2/4 or very early 2/5 :D
AnonymousAccepted: 1/25

First Date Return Showed Processing: 1/30
First Date Refund Showed Accepted: 2/2
Refund Method: Direct Deposit (as opposed to Check)
Date shown for Direct Deposit Initiating/Check Mailing: 2/6
Actual Date Direct Deposit/Check was Received: N/A
Additional Info: One W2, One Dependent, Student Loan Interest, Standard Deduction, Child Tax Credit, Earned Income CreditAnonymousFor Woodforest people I will share what I know.
When your payroll is deposited a day early what is going on is your employers bank sends that information to your bank the day before with notification it is to be transferred from their bank to yours on payday.
When wood forest allows access a day early they are basically loaning you the money a day early at no cost.
The IRS does not send this information to your bank ahead of time. They send the money immediately with the notification. For people with pending notifications at their bank the bank already has the money and needs to process it into their accounts (this is why the IRS says wait 5 days to call after tour DD date). Woodforst is a small bank so it takes almost no time to update into your account unlike larger banks so you will get the money within minutes after they told some money was sent to them for you.
With the IRS sending refunds 24 hours a day they only way you would be told it is pending is if it arrives after the end of their business day at 9 pm.
TL;DR You will not get direct deposit early because the IRS doesn’t send money the same way employers do. If your money shows up early it is because the IRS transmitted it to your bank early not because of Wood forests early release policy.
AnonymousLol my CU states the same thing, obviously that’s not the truth.
AnonymousI filed early, but, due to the education credits… my return was rejected on the 30th. I then resubmitted them, taking out the credits. I will amend later. My return was received on the 31st FROM the IRS. (I think a lot of people get the wrong impression from the company they used when they get their first text, email etc. stating that there return was accepted) My return in still in processing on Feb. 3rd. I am hoping it changes by tomorrow. I think with so many people not giving it a few days and calling, ordering transcripts, overloading the WMR site… That systems crashed, answers are left unanswered and everyone gets nowhere. My fear though is… FOR THE PAST 3 years, I have continually fell into some sort of problem with the IRS and their system that processes the returns. I have read about the new MEF system and how it updates. There ARE NO batching of filers anymore. It is on a per filing basis. The system will be running 24/7. DD are suppose to be everyday (except Sundays). I am personally nervous that WMR is still in processing mode. Is anyone else in the same boat> RECEIVED ON THE 31st and STILL PROCESSING? Thanks….
AnonymousMy return is set to dd 2/5. Although RB has already received return and a..nd taken out my fees. Said it was trasfered to my bank. …. but nothing yet…..crossing my fingers for early deposit :)
AnonymousWells Fargo state that they post direct deposits as soon as they get it but they’re lying.
Anonymousalso if it’s not known. Those who e-filed and paid with e-collect can check if the bank has a date, etc at the following link
https://www.epsfinancial.net/site/taxpayer/CheckApplicationStatus
AnonymousMine is also still processing. I filed and was approved 1/31. Information was available instantly on WMR, so today still processing and I was afraid that me filing again without the 8863 is what happened and I was going to be in tax limbo for 6 months.
Anyway, I called IRS and the lady checked and said the first one was rejected and I needed to get it back so I wont have any problems(i filed that one with TT so hopefully since it’s been rejected they will release it for me), and then she said although I filed again (e-file this time) and received email stating I was accepted by IRS that her office(accounts, i think) didn’t actually receive my info to process it until today. She said me saying I was accepted meant it went through fraud, and ssn verification, etc. and 72 hours after is when her office receives it.ANYWAY LOL She told me to check again and by Friday I should either have the money or have a date. So back to the waiting game and hopefully that helps someone a little better. :)
AnonymousI am getting all kinds of conflicting messages and dates from different and websites. WMR gives me this under review message, Irs2go says sent/deposited with no date or reference number, hotline gives me the WMR message, TurboTax says accepted, TurboTax mobile says it has been successfully acknowledged and you will receive your refund before 2/17 and mytaxrefund app says something else different. What a nightmare!
AnonymousMan, I hope I get mine tomorrow before this item I want goes off sale, keep us updated guys!
If anyone has Woodforest post a comment if it’s pending.
AnonymousI’m a 2/7 and had mine sent to Walmart prepaid called them no pending deposit yet!! Last yr my dd was 2/1 and I got it 2/1 around 4 am!! So mine probably won’t be early!!
AnonymousWell I have a pending deposit, they just need to release it. They shouldn’t say they do advanced deposit if they really dont.
AnonymousMy husband is calling our CU now to see if there is any pending deposits. My state is set to be in the bank tomorrow so that one has to show.
AnonymousI filed on the 1st. The WMR site still has me as accepted. No change, no DD.
AnonymousI’ve had this ridiculous refund status on WMR and the hotline since Jan. 31. Filed on 1/17 and Accepted by IRS on 1/25. Only claimed EITC and Child tax credit for my 3 kids, like I do every year. Anyone have any idea what this means? It doesn’t say I’m under review like other threads I’ve seen, but was wondering if this message is a precursor to that. I feel like I’m in purgatory. Aggravating seeing people that filed almost 2 weeks after not only have deposit dates, but already have their refunds. I’m happy for them and all, but WTH IRS????
AnonymousA lot of folks who filed on the 31 Jan are in the same boat
Stuck in IRS limbo !!
AnonymousI think that we’re about to get LUCKY soon. I’ve been following this forum since last Friday and that’s the pattern that it’s usually been going for some that was getting Direct Deposits soon after.
AnonymousParticipant
Sounds like the IRS is got a big backlog of returns
SBBT has my funds today. It has been disbursed already to my credit union so I will get it by tomorrow. However, the WMR is still on the second bar, Approved, instead of a full bar.
DD date: 2/5
SBBT Funds received date: 2/4AnonymousJust called the IRS. Agent told me it takes 24-48 business hours to show up on WMR. Hotline and WMR says my info is entered incorrectly. She also said she doesn’t see my return yet. She said if I don’t see anything on WMR tomorrow then to call back.
AnonymousLooks like Netspend/metabank wins! Jk, but I thought it was cool that the funds came 3 days early
AnonymousI can’t guarantee complete accuracy of the above post but it’s in line with what I’ve read from official sources. I copied and pasted it here because it’s an easy to read and understand shortened version of information that’s currently available but very time consuming to dig through and comprehend. Thanks to retiredsgt.
AnonymousJust called the IRS. My return was e-filed and accepted 1/31. On WMR and the hotline it says my info was entered incorrectly. The IRS agent told me that since we just went through the weekend it needs more time. She said it needs 24-48 business hours to show up on WMR. So idk. She said if I don’t get an update tomorrow then to call them back.
AnonymousBCU– nothing yet :( And they say they deposit funds up to 2 days before you are suppose to get it.

Accpt 1/31 perhrb hotline
stuck in processing since
state was accepted 2/1
No email from hrb
no ddI filed 1/27 accepted by IRS on 1/30 filed via H&R block online . What I’m hearing is that H&R held returns until the 30th so I don’t think I was accepted early, although, I honestly don’t know. I used the free version so I didn’t have any fees taken out. I had a generic no bar processing status on WMR up until Saturday morning which I got a DDD of 2/6. Easy simple return same as last year. I bank with Woodforest and my husbands payroll checks always post a day early. As of noon today the bank teller didn’t even see my deposit pending. I’m not going to let it get me down though cause over Thanksgiving his payroll check did’t deposit a day early and I called and they didn’t even see it pending, but it ended up posting that night. I usually get dd in the middle of the night so I will let everyone know when I actually get my refund.
AnonymousI can’t see anything but “processing” on wmr site and filed/accepted in 2/1.
Anonymousretiredsgt says:
February 4, 2013 at 3:51 pmFYI:
The only things checked when your e-filed return is first submitted is a basic name-to-SSN match (first 5 letters of last name) and that none of the SSNs on the return have been used already. Birthdate to SSN checks are run on any children claimed on the return. I believe than any EINs from the W-2s are checked as valid/invalid as I’ve seen an occasional reject for a bad EIN.Once it’s accepted the system runs the usual checks for math errors and basic compliance, i.e verifying that exemption and standard deduction values match filing status and number of claimed exemptions, etc. and that any claimed credits are legally entitled.
At this point returns are also reviewed for major fraud flags. Those vary from one year to the next and may even change during the season but popular ones are EIC fraud (dependents claimed as nieces and nephews, dependents moving around among taxpayers from one year to the next, self-employment income sufficient to qualify for a maximum EIC) and new for this year, the First Time Home Buyer Credit (qualifying purchase the same address as filed last year, duplicate claims using the same qualifying property address, no match with public property transfer records, etc.).
AnonymousAnyone get a refund that has been in review. Last year it delayed my refund one week. Hoping for the same this year.
AnonymousThanks for info
AnonymousI’ll be watching this post my DD is 2/7 I called my bank and they didn’t see a deposit coming thru yet.
AnonymousHey,
If you have a DD of 2/7 please let us know if you have your money yet. Hoping they start going in tonight/ tomorrow morning.
Also, if you got your early, did the IRS website update stating it was deposited.
AnonymousSTILL Processing. . .I don’t get this. At ALL.
Anonymous@whittney that’s my mom, was trying to get info on her too
AnonymousNothing from my credit union today either :( hopefully tomorrow!
AnonymousSome early filers returns were accepted early then the official tax season start date 1/30. I was one of them. 1/29 i got a DD date of 2/4. I filed through tax act like i’ve done the past three years and republic bank which is the one tax act is through to take my fee just released my funds and they say it can take 1-5 days to be shown in my bank that i elected my refund be sent to (bancorp bank) green dot…this is the first year ive used green dot. I’ve always used the tax act endeavor card. Gonna wait & see how long green dot takes to release my funds
Happy tax season
AnonymousI called this morning about reference number 1541. I was told nothing was wrong and my refund is just delayed 2-3 weeks.
thanks @msbrowneyes for that info
AnonymousI’m a 2/5er- Funds sent to SBBT, however, nothing posted yet to Chase.
AnonymousSo I just checked SBBT and it shows they have received funds from the IRS and that fees and all that were paid AND that funds were sent to my bank account, however, when I check with Chase, there is nothing there, nothing pending. AHHGHGHGHH!!! This is torture!! I guess the one good thing is I am a 2/5er, and I’m sure the funds will be there when they say they will. Oh, and next year, I’m paying the TT fees upfront. This is the first year I ever opted to have fees taken from my refund.
AnonymousI didn’t have any fees to pay so my dd went straight to my bank
AnonymousLIBERTY TAX IS NOW WITH SANTA BARBRA BANK AND TRUST. i FILED WITH THEM ALSO. i HAVE A DIRECT DEPOSIT DATE AND NOTHING. LET ME TELL YOU THOUGH I WAS GETTING SO FRUSTRADED CAUSE IRS TOOK OUT THERE 400 DOLLARS FOR THEM AND TOLD ME I WOULD BE GETTING A DEPOSIT OF 8100 AND THEN I DECIDED TO CALL THE OFFSET NUMBER THEY TOOK THE WHOLE THING FOR STUDENT LOANS. I HOPE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU I HOPE YOU GET BETTER NEWS. KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. I WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU INFO AS I GET IT.
AnonymousIRS Calls from Feb 4, 2013:
IRS Agent name: Dennis Ragen (call 1)
badge number: 2627475
Aren’t processing until mid Feb. Don’t need to take addition action at this time. Wouldn’t give any information about return at all.IRS Agent Name: Mrs. Rickman (call 2)
Badge #: 0584322
Told them I wanted to confirm banking information.
Accepted 1/24:
Normal processing time is 3 weeks. If nothing, has to adhere to that time frame. *bunch of bull*
Do have return, is being processed, refund is $1707.
What they have on the 8863 issues: if the IRS received before Jan 27, will hold until mid Feb. even though they are “processing” they aren’t really processing. Apparently any dates given (2/7, 2/11 or 2/15) weren’t given by her, and as such, she can’t answer why they are being given out.AnonymousI bank with BOA. I haven’t received anything yet. I did call BOA. They wont look to see if you have a pending deposit but said they post deposit to the account as soon as they get it. Don’t know how true that is but we will see.
AnonymousMy dd date was 2/6 but I got my DD on to my NetSpend card on 2 / 3 at 930 p.m. and funds were available at that time for me to use
AnonymousMy husband and I filed our taxes with liberty tax, our return was accepted and approved and we were given a dd date of 2-1-2013…here we are one 2-4-2013 and still no dd!My bank doesnt even show it as pending..This has never happened before to us, we elected to have the tax preparer fee taken out from our refund(which we’ve done every year)so I know it is sent to liberty tax’s bank first..so I called to see if they had at least recieved my refund because I can no longer get any info from wheres my refund on the irs site or the hotline and Liberty tax refuses to give me any info and they wont even tell me if they still bank with Republic bank anymore…from what Ive been reading about them online is they were trying to end their contract with republic bank but I can’t find if they actually did end it…They also have a lot of other stuff going on! so I dont think they are being completely honest with us, something is going on! I’ve filed with them for a few years now and this has never happened..is anyone else having issues with them? can someone at least tell me if you’ve experienced something similar or maybe ease my mind and tell me you filed with them and recieved your refund?
Liberty Tax
Did you file with Liberty Tax?
Liberty
Anonymousi filed on 1/28 accepted 1/29 processing for 4 days then went to review. Called IRS today and after talking the rep into looking up my return she said still processing. Not sure if this is accurate or not. I do have a schedule C, Filed HOH, and claim my nephew same as I did last year because I am his legal guardian with a court order. i have filed with a schedule C and W2 for the last 8 years never an issue.
Personally I have seen so many people comment on this review process I have no idea who is right, some say the review is generated by computer and may only cause a delay of a couple of days. Others say it can hold your refund for weeks or months.
Who knows????
AnonymousMine is still processing, accepted on the 31st. Called and they have it, but my name is listed wrong with the IRS, so I may not get my refund without sending in documents (that I can’t send in until they send me a letter, the rep told me not to bother, they will get lost). I really hope that we start seeing 1/31 dd dates soon, at least then I will know if it’s coming or if I’m stuck waiting until after the 20th. :(
AnonymousI wish they’d give us some info! I haven’t seen any 2/8 DD so hopefully we will see that date tomorrow! I hate not knowing anything!!
AnonymousSuntrust, standard checking acct…..no DD yet wasnt expecting it but sure woulda been SWEET! lol Ill update as well but thinking Wednesday morning….
AnonymousFiled and accepted 1/31 with TT. WMR and hotline say I entered my information wrong. Not sure what’s going on.
Anonymousnsullivan8981
LoL at least your is showing on WMR
thanks alot @ms328
AnonymousSame here. Filed on the 29th, Accepted on the 29th and. . .PROCESSING. I’m so irritated that others are getting dd’s and filed the same time as me or worse, AFTER me, and mine isn’t progressing at all!
1 W2
EIC
2 Depends
CTCThat’s it! What’s the problem??? I’m HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymousi’m with wells fargo, sadly i wont get it till the morning of 2/6. which is almost here by the way! my sister is also getting hers on that day and has boa so if she gets it tmw, i will update u!
Anonymous@TyphoonDragon I love your logic and your grocery store made me laugh! I’ve come to realize that there is definitely no rhyme or reason to returns this year but as long as it doesn’t take 3 weeks like it did last year I’ll be happy :)
Nothing in the mail today. :( If anyone else gets anything make sure to let us know! :)
AnonymousDid they explain projected date to you? The lady I spoke to last week that told me projected date could not tell me if that’s when it will start processing, finish processing or DD.
AnonymousMine is still saying processing. ugh!
AnonymousI called the irs and they said that they have my return and it’s currently still processing gave me the 21 day message. I was accepted on 01/31. At least i know that they i’m in processing..
February 4, 2013 at 11:30 am in reply to: Filed 1/30/13…IRS received 1/31/13…Now stuck on waiting #5485AnonymousI filed online using HR free edition, filed on 01/30/13, accepted on 01/31/13, on WMR still says processing. I have not been able to order a transcript.
AnonymousFiled and accepted 1/31/13 through TT. WMR and hotline says my info was entered incorrectly. Getting frustrated. I wish I could at least find myself on WMR. :(
Hello everyone, I’m with Bank of America and don’t see anything when I sign into our online banking. I’ll just be happy with it being there Wednesday morning. Hopefully BOA isn’t gonna hold it forever, not sure since this is our first time filing our own taxes without getting a RAL and putting it on a prepaid card or getting a paper check. I feel alot better paying 14.95 than 500.00 or more. All my money is mine. Paid the fees upfront! Everyone plz. keep us all posted, does anyone else here have BOA or money going into a regular account?
AnonymousJust because you file before somebody doesn’t mean you’ll be processed before them. There isn’t one waiting line there’s a whole bunch of waiting lines (servers). Try to compare it to checking out at the grocery store on a super busy day. Some lines (servers) are moving way faster and smoother than others. If your return is taking way too long then you’re probably in line (server) 5 with the lady ahead of you that has 150 coupons (deductions) that disputes prices (errors) then has to fill out a check and balance her check book prior to exiting the lane (server). Basically, that’s what it’s like. You’re in one of many lines and you may or may not get out fast depending on who and how many people are ahead of you in that particular line (server).
