Hi. Bart. I have a question. I filed on 1/20 and was accepted the same day. On monday February 23, I contacted the irs and they told me that I need to contact the idverify department. I had a hunch that I would have to do that because I had to verify my identity 2 years in a row. Anyway, I called the idverify hotline on tuesday february 24 and I verified my identity and was put back into processing. 3 days later which is today on the 27th my account transcript finally updated from all zeros to codes 150 806 and 570. Do you have any insight as to what might have happened?

Well me again. I’d verify 2/13. A code 570 on 2/20 and a code 971 today. I called and I am officially under review the letter should arrive next week. I am too depressed for words. I guess I am looking at May or later if they don’t decide to do a full blown audit. What do you think?

This was my first year filing Injured Spouse. I was accepted on 1/28. I’m the only income earner, have no personal offsets, spouse does. This morning I wake up to code 290, Cycle Date 20150805 03-16-2015 $0.00, But the next code is 846 Refund Issued Date 03-16-2015.

I’m thinking I’m getting my DDD on 3/5 now, but the code 290 is throwing me off. And there’s no 571 to release the 570, etc. Crossing my fingers the rest of you see the 846 soon as well.

I have a question, feel I finally have somewhat of good news. I checked my transcript this morning, and I see the 846! But there’s another tc that I’ve not seen. Here’s what shows:

I filed mine on 2/2/15 and it still says the same. When i call I get the response due to high call volume we cannot accept your call at this time. A friend got through and talked to somebody. They told him if you or your kids have soonercare or owe tickets or child support it will take longer to get back your refund. My kids have soonercare too. Maybe thay is the hold up. :\

I filed on 2/6 and was accepted an hour later. WMR bars where available too. A week later they disappeared. Couldn’t view transcript till last Friday. I made an error with the homebuyers credit repayment (-32.00$) so got the dreaded notice sent and hold codes. Cycle date says 20150705, which is said to be DD for Friday Feb 26. Well I just checked and everything from WMR to Transcript and my Bank Balance all still say the same things. Nothing. I lost my house and everything last year. I ended up in my parents home with my 3 children. This return will get me out of here. Im still waiting. My sorry ass drug user brother who never works claimed money he didn’t make and got his in one week. (5k)

Meanwhile, today at the office me and my co-worker, were arguing about the fastest state that issues refund, i told them, Im from missouri and i filed 2/19, and was accepted 2/20. DDD was 2/22. How fast could that be ? Does anyone else’s refund got faster than that ?

yep – we are definitely in the some boat. BUT…i have been researching this situation since it happened to me. and one glimmer of hope is that I talked to an IRS agent tuesday of this weel. he confirmed we are NOT being audited. we are being “researched” so IRS can confirm that our name IS attached to the tax return since there was a bank mismatch. keep in mind that the 8-10 week period starts from the date the letter was mailed. so, for me, that time frame starts 2-23-15. i found an excellent tool that is used specifically for IRS tax agents and lists the steps they have to take with returns that were rejected by bank due to name/SSN mismatch. if you are familiar with tax codes and tax jargon, you will be able to read it. it def made me feel better. i will copy and paste link so you can look at it. let’s keep each other updated, okay?

I received the CP53 A noticed in the mail on today. Also the name on the refund did not match the bank informatuon. My husband name was listed first on the tax return first and then munes but he was not on my card account. I hope it really don’t tait theake thr whole 10 weeks. Also I have read some people last year did have to wait the whole 10 weeks. Some people this year I noticed too that they only had to wait 2 weeks. I pray that it will not be too long.

I filed with Turbo tax on 1/30, accepted same day. On the 13th lost my bars and got the :Your return is still being processed a dd wil be given when available. On 2/23 I called and was told by the nice gentleman that my return had actually only been accepted on 2/6 and therefore still needed to wait. 21 days from that date will be tomorrow 2/28 and still no transcripts available and no dd. A true test of patience!

Jimmy- my tenacious were this same way and it’s because they were processing my return, so I’m pretty sure you will get an update within the next few days. Give it a little more time to complete, but being able to see blank transcripts that say no return filed is a good thing if you weren’t able to see anything before! Good luck!!

Fernanda – have you seen anything yet? It is always possible that it’s just your bank holding up the funds, if you had fees taken out fund out which bank it would be sent to first for those fees and see if they have your money there or at least showing a pending deposit. Please update and let me know what happens, in praying for you!!! Good luck!!

–as for me, got my DDD last night for 3/2, was going it would be for Friday, but I’m happy with what I’ve got and I’m praying like crazy that nothing happens between now and the date I received my funds!! Please keep us updated everyone!!

One additional note … I had also received a letter from IRS via US Mail on 2/23 stating that due to extra processing that they could not honor my request for DD and that the check has been mailed and I should receive it in 3 to 4 weeks, but received it today, 2/26.

So I called the IRS today to ask if there was something I needed to do in order to get my refund accepted. The lady on the phone seemed as if she couldn’t confirm that my return was even filed! She did not even know the date it was accepted. After putting me on hold to “research” the matter she came back to tell me that I needed to wait up to 45 days because they were reviewing my return. But I should continue to keep checking WMR and I could call again in a couple weeks “If I wanted to!”. It basically sounded like she had no idea what she was talking about. I was left feeling even more confused and angry! And TurboTax STILL says only 33% of 2/4 filers have been excepted… mindblowing!

Please include the following: – when you filed/accepted – who you filed with – when you got your transcripts/codes, DDD – when funds were sent to bank for filing fees if any – when you receive your refunds & – what type (Check, bank deposit or prepaid card).

Mine –
2/13 – filed/accepted through Taxslayer at around 7:30pm est.
2/17 – Saw acct transcript, but they we’re blank, showed all 000’s, and stated no return filed, and had my previous years address and an “as of date” 3/9.
2/24 – called irs to check and make sure there was nothing holding my return or causing delays.
2/24 – @ around 11pm at night est I could finally see all transcripts, return and account with all info filled out and updated with 846 code refund issued and cycle date of 20150803
2/25 – wmr updated and got DDD of Monday, 3/2!

*will update to include more information as soon as funds are sent to SBBT & again when it shows in my bank account – which is not on a prepaid card so I’m praying it won’t get rejected which I’m seeing a lot of!!

My IL Tax – shows negative balance

IL site showed a while back that it was processing.

Comptroller site – shows it hasn’t been processed yet.

I’m hoping those sites just haven’t been updated and we get DD tomorrow, I think last batch of IL refunds went out last Friday.

jen yes a bunch of people that are under review or in id verify I suggest calling

mar89 ur are under review so I would expect with a 1099 your looking at 5 weeks before u even get a refund…. just if they ask for anything from you make sure u provide them what they ask as quick as possible

drew no it usually takes about 3 weeks but with all these delays it might take longer

kalli the system kicks something out as an error they only correct the one thing that the system tells them 2 then it get reprocessed if there was another error below the first error then the system will kick it out and the process starts all over… so 14 – 21 days is what errors take… I know annoying right… there is nothing you can do and yes they are having a lot of issues especially because of the HCA and budget cuts

angel they may require proof that your brother lived with you other than that you need to be patient and wait there is nothing you can do at this point

I still do not have a ddd. When I go to the refund checker it says still processing. If I login to MYIllinois tax website it shows my refund is done and i can see the negative balance and view my return. Hopefully refunds will be sent out soon since they have completed some returns. Was supposed to take an extra week, been an extra 3 weeks more like.

I lost bars on 2/8 but still have the processing and a refund date will be provided when it is available had amount on there but no tax topic listed. On 2/24 WMR updated again for me, I lost the amount of refund, but the tax topic 152 came back. I looked at transcripts and all I can see is the account one, that has zeros and a date as of 3/9/2015. No codes on transcript or WMR. Has this happened to anyone else and you seen movement soon after.

I was accepted 1/22, got a code 570 dated 2-16-15 and 971 dated 2-23-15 on my transcripts. I got the cp05 letter in the mail 2-13. I was just wondering if you think there might be an update soon or if it will really take till April like that letter says. So I had a ddd of 2/11 and my bank rejected it. I just got a cp53a notice in the mail dated for march 2. It said my financial institution couldn’t process it. And they are researching the account and to give them 8 to 10 weeks to reissue my refund. Does it really take this long?

I also had health insurance through the exchange. I called CoveredCA multiple times explaining i need me 1095-A form, inorder to file my taxes. Atleast 4 people there told me they have no record of me having coverage, and there is no 1095-A form for me. Welp my return was accepted 2/6 (in the morning) that evening when i got home from work i was greeted with my lovely 1095-A in the mail.
So my return was accepted with out my 1095-A form. God help me and let me get my money!!!

I think I am in the same situation as you are. my DD was rejected on 2/2. then refund cancelled. tax transcripts updated with 971 code. what letter did you receive in the mail? was it the CP53A notice??
if so, it’s not an actual audit. they are researching your account due to the mismatch with direct deposit. did you receive the same notice as me?

ive posted to you a few times. Thank you for your responses! Just want to see what you make of the latest info. Recap filed and accepted jan 22 lost bars a few weeks later still have generic message refund date will be provided when available. Called irs on feb 12 told my return was in error dept and to call back the following week which i did and was told it was still in error dept. Called irs on feb 24 was told they just received my return that dsy. Called back feb 25 was told that there was a systemic error and projected date was 45 days from jan 22. S ii i decided to call again today and was told my return was sent back to the error dept today! No transcripts available no codes on wmr no letters received. And to top it off received email from tt that they are deducting their fees from my checking account since i havent received my refund in the alloted time frame! What do i do now? I seriously believe they are having catastrophic issues!

Can anyone help me? I efiled on 1/28 it was accepted 1/28 they direct deposited it into my account on 2/3 and my bank rejected because my last name was differen . I filed Jan 31st and got accepted on Feb 1st. After my 21st day I called in to check what was going on and they told me that I didn’t attach the form 1095-a. I am on medi-cal and don’t get that form… but they still want some type of proof. Would I be able to fax proof or mail it in? Thank you. It has been very frustrating!

I do not have the same situation, my bank account numbers were correct, and I am the only one named on it. Mine was rejected because my account closed before the direct deposit, so the process for me is shorter, they just automatically issue a paper check. That is why it took 3 weeks.

2/14- WMR updated that check is going to be mailed by 2/23
2/23- it was mailed by treasury

if so, this means that you are NOT under audit. but the IRS is researching your account bc IRS rep told me that “it flew up red flags all over the place” when i attempted yl deposit my funds into an account that was not mine. I was instructed thst i did not hVe to go thru ID Verify. but the notice I got on 2-23-15 was a CP53A notice. i called back once i received the notice. they say “8-10 weeks”. and I also noticed that I can view all transcripts EXCEPT wages and income. @Cynthia – do you know why?
i spoke with a few people in the same boat and I was told that it depends on how backed up the IRS is – some folks got theirs in 2 weeks. some said that, last year, it took the full 10 weeks.
I have observed that people whose DD was rejected only due to incorrect account/routinf numbers had a paper check immediately mailed out. however, those whose DD was rejected due to not being an account holder “could” receive one no later than 8-10 weeks after IRS “researched” the account to determine taxpayer was in fact owed the monies and confirmed identity.

omfg , the irs sent me a letter stating they need my form 8962 for the health insurance crap. i have obama care for all of 2 months before my last place of business closed down and i couldnt afford the payment so it was cancelled . the letter was sent on 2/23/15 , so im gonna be in the 6 – 8 weeks pool after a fax this info back off once i contact the healthcare market place to get my 1095-a form i never got.

It sounds like they asked you call to confirm the names on the refund? I am not clear as to why your bank rejected your direct deposit.
And hopefully it’s processing now after you have called. You should check your transcript next week. They usually just say 8-10 weeks as a general information but it should be sooner than that. Goodluck!

Hello Bartd I have repeatedly looked through these threads but unfortunately no one else, to my knowledge, has posted about tc 420 on my friend’s transcripts. Part of the refund was released and a letter was supposedly sent on 02/11 according to code on transcript. He hasn’t got the letter yet. He noticed tc 420 was on his transcripts after the tc 864- refund issued. Any idea how long before he see tc 421, 811, & 864? Thanks in advance!

Last year (2013) I received the 4464C = IVO letter 2 weeks AFTER I received my full refund. The IRS did not send anymore letters last year nor did they contact me.

This year I filed on 2/3,
It was accepted 2/4
I received my full state refund 2/8,
On 2/18 I received the 4464C Letter from IVO letter (the same Exact one I received Last year) the letter was dated 2/13.
On 02/23 my WMR bar disappeared and Still says ‘processing’.

I am confused on why I received the SAME letter last year (after I got my DD) & this year (Before I get a DD-I’m still waiting). I will post any updated info as I get it.

I filed and IRS Accepted my return 1/13. Just received the Identify Verification letter called and verified all info last Friday. Still there is not an update with my transcript. It is still completely blank no codes no income adn still says no return filed. When I asked how long from here after I verify the agent told my 6 – 9 weeks. Is that possible and why do you think so long? I asked if they needed anything more and the agents says nothing is needed at this time. I had a simple return but did claim the Life time Education credit. Nothing else no EIC ,no dependents, and Health Care market forms. Is it just the waiting game from here?
