My return was accepted on Feb.3rd. Have seen the Still Processing Message on Where’s My Refund ever since. I called in April (about two and a half months after I was accepted) and was told I had to verify my identity, even though I had never received that news from the IRS in the mail. If I hadn’t had been frustrated and called after two and a half months, who knows how long I would have had to wait to find this information out. The man made me verify my information and told me to wait six more weeks. Well guess what…It is four months later from the time I filed and still no change. No Refund, No notifications in the mail, and Still Processing.

I hear you! I filed 2/6 and am still waiting now at June 8 and I didn’t even have the ACA issue. They’ve sent 2 letters just saying they’re reviewing and not to do anything unless they ask me to other than wait. I haven’t gotten a letter since mid march, my wmr says still processing, a date will be given blahblah. I have no idea whats up with this crap.

Well wmr changed to my refund is being processed now. Not sure exactly what that means. Called and got my 30 day referral on the 18th. Hopefully its a sign they are releasing my refund again.

Finally decided to call the IRS and see if I could get any update on our refund status. I spoke with a very pleasant woman and she told me because I’m still in the 11 week window that I still have a few weeks to have it be processed. She told me my 11 week mark is the first week of July.

So from what the lady said I have to wait 11 weeks from the date the IS form was received. So I’m hoping to see a refund around July 2nd or maybe earlier (crossing fingers!!!)
I hope this helps anyone. i don’t remember my refund taking this long in previous years.

I also asked if the transcript hack would affect the time I get my refund and she said because she seen only one return with my social, it won’t be effected. So I’m assuming if you were affected by the hack, your refund might be delayed?

Now I just have to wait patiently.

So my hub and I filed out taxes back in may and got a notice that they were taking our refund for back cs. So we went back in filed an is got a notice from IRS saying it was accepted andexpect a check w/in 3-4 weeks back on April 3. Clearly we have officially hit the 8 week mark and still nothing. Can’t get thru to the IRS to talk to an agent nothing is showing with the tresurey. Can’t access online transcripts the newest one I have says as of may 4 802 w2 with holding. I have been told by the ppl that did my taxes will take 8 weeks here we are 8 weeks and nothing any advice? Anyone in the same boat anything. We are despertly waiting our son turns 1 on the 27 of this month and we were hoping to use the money to pay for his party. So very frustrated!

Sadly to inform you all the IRS was hacked over a month ago and they just released it to the media and to us waiting tax payers. This now is giving them longer delays and processing
it has been 14 weeks since I filed and was accepted, no notice no letters only 1 update to my transcript since 2/25/2015 that was a minor date change to $0 additional taxes/
assessment. I called, written faxes and letters and to no avail I havent been given any answers to what is going on. I also requested an advocate in April since I was not able to access my transcripts ( not knowing at the time IRS was hacked) NOTHING!!!! no calls no letters sad sad sad and to think I worked for them for 19 years.

Hello everyone, I too filed and accepted 2/25/15. Still Processing, no letters no notice I even requested an advocate in April have heard NOTHING! I was also able to retrieve my transcripts they never updated until 1 week ago with only a minor date change to additonal tax assest. Now I can not get my transcripts online due to theft! with all this nonsense, I called several times, once to leave a long message for the advocates office ( no reply either) second time I called toll free and was given such BS then the guy hung up on me- claims he touched the wrong button and needed to transfer me to someone who knew the system better! , I called back sadly waited 45 min.only to be told the advocates office had my return and it is up to them to release the funds. I worked for them for over 19 years have not had any issues ever, it has been 6 years since I worked there and now I have delays. No one can help and no one knows anything.

My taxes were accepted 2/19/2015 got a letter in the mail 3 weeks later saying they were reviewing my taxes should be finished around 5/7/2015. 5/14/15 I call and they say they will send a letter letting them know I’ve been waiting too long. 5/16/15 I get a DDD of 5/25/15. That day comes no refund. I check where’s my refund and now it says my taxes have been delayed and gives me reference number 1121. I call the extension given and they have no clue about anything when I call. It is now 6/1/2015 still no refund and no clue what’s going on.

WMR has not updated at all, no idea about transcripts since the IRS has now shut down online transcripts due to their inability to protect citizen’s information (they are reaching amazing and astounding levels of incompetence).

Nah I don’t think so. When I called it was the 10th week and the rep told me that the week before (which was May 5th), it was adjusted to be released and to give 2-4 weeks to process and mail out. If I didn’t get anything by the 5th to call them back.

I called Wednesday and they said the check had been mailed out, and yesterday I called the Treasury office in Philly (services the NYC area) that actually prints and cuts the check and mails it out. They also confirmed it was sent out (not just processed and cut but actually mailed out) on the 27th. Now I’m just waiting either today or tomorrow for it, since first class mail takes anywhere from 1-3 days.

There is hope! My refund took over 90 days due to identity theft. I tried to file on H&R Block and someone fraudulently filed a tax return with my social security. In mid-Feb, my paper return was received and I confirmed my identity with the IRS. My status on the app was received to “your refund is still be processed” for the all of March, April, and until 5/23. On 5/23, I was received a DD and officially received my refund on 5/28. Patience is the key especially if you were a victim of identity theft. Good luck, Everyone!

WMR still says your refund has been received and is being processed. WMR is always late on updating itself, usually a few days behind. But I’m glad I got confirmation from the check disbursement center that it was in fact mailed out Wednesday. Keep calling, I read somewhere here (I think it was BartD from Bart’s thoughts) that the referral wasn’t really anything that it’s just something to get you off the phone.

Wood forest bank is holding my direct deposit until noon. This is unacceptable. I have never banked with a company that holds my direct deposit past midnight. At first they started coming in around 4 a.m. then it went to 6- 8 a.m. then it went to 10 and then it quickly changed over to noon. I wrote them an email stating that this was unacceptable and that I need my money deposited by the time I wake up in the morning. They adjusted it to where the deposit went in at midnight again. Now, 6 months later, they are back to arriving at noon. I have things to do, I have bills to pay, I have errands to run, & I do not have time for my deposits to be held until noon when everyone else gets their deposits at midnight who banks elsewhere. I will be looking for another bank if they cannot find a permanent solution to this.

We filed my sons taxes 3/1/15, received a DdD of 3/9//15…then changed to the 1121 status. Ugh! On March 25, received letter directing us to everify, which he did immediately. The website said it would take 6 wks to complete. Then May 21 called IrS, waited 40 min to talk to an agent, who told us that his return went to “second verification” april 20 and it usually takes 8 wks from that date, so hopefully mid-June?

Yeah its stupid. I followed the exact steps that the card issuer said to do to be added to the account.

Yeah that ID verify was just a separate issue with your bank. I’d be pissed at them if they never added me to the account correctly.

The IRS won’t direct deposit a second time. This time they’ll send a paper check to the address on file. If you called a week ago and a week ago is when they gave you the referral, give it 2-3 more weeks. I didn’t see movement until the middle of the 3rd week.

It was funny that you say that because I also received my State return (a whole 24 dollars at that) and my federal was rejected because something didn’t match on the account. Which begs the question, why are you going to accept my state return but reject my federal? But whatever, that’s no longer here nor there.

But I actually was on the account it was direct deposited to, had a card and everything. But a few weeks back I got an email from the card issuer saying that I wasnt added to the account correctly and to email or fax a picture of my photo id and recent utility bill. I did so

Essentially, yes. The 30 day referral is basically a notice to the dept. researching your account to expedite the release of your refund. They have 30 days to release your funds and send you a check or send you a notice explaining why they need to further research your account.

More times than not though, on the 3rd to 4th week of the referral people usually receive their refund. I’m coming up on my 4th week and it looks like paper checks are all mailed out this Friday. I would call the treasury this friday and see if a paper check was sent to you. If not, call the IRS back.

That’s great news! It’s about time! Were you able to see your transcripts at all when it updated? I just wanted to see if you had gotten the same cycle date as me and the 290 and 846 code as well so I can get a better idea of where @bjgc stands. For whatever reason we can’t access transcripts online anymore, it can only be mailed. I’m assuming that the release date for all the paper checks is Friday, when they all get mailed out. I think you can call the treasury Friday to make sure that a check was mailed out.

I find it extremely interesting that my husband and I never get a refund and this year we will. I’ve already received my state refund. Yeah that should be a good sign – mine changed to that a day after my transcripts updated. Unfortunately you can’t get your transcripts online anymore, so all we have to go on is the WMR.

Hopefully yours will roll out Friday like mine is supposed to – had a cycle date of 20152002 which is this Friday before the transcripts became unavailable. Here’s to the light at the end of the tunnel!
