Completed my return-1/29 accepted on 1/29.. I got an advance and i am path.. 05 cycle.. didn’t realize I had to verify until I checked on the IRS website and logged into my account and my notifications said need more information . called to schedule an appointment and letter came before my appointment on 1/28, verified the letter same day online and just got my update today… DDD for 3/20.. also my wmr changed from still processing to being processed

I did make a 401k withdrawal last year.
I also noticed my job sent lot a corrected w2c where only one of the states numbers were different. I attempted to amend with new information and my refund didn’t change, so I didn’t send it in.(my state already gets taken every yr for a debt)Will This problem resolve itself or should I go through with amendment?

I filed a week ago, my transcripts say no record of tax return filed. Yet there is an as of date of March 25th on the same transcript. What could be happening here? Am I looking to early at transcripts?

If you go to the igotmyrefund FB page. There is a post with a link to contact your local representative or senator in congress. This mat be a faster way to go. There are post from ppl who say they saw movement afterwards. I know there’s supposed to be an update tomorrow but I’ve lost hope. I just emailed mine. We’ll see. Positive vibes y’all

Update part 3:
Turns out I don’t need to verify anything else because the system is randomly resending letters, and even better, she said my refund has been approved, but she didn’t tell me my DDD.

She also told me I might get a deposit before it’s reflected on WMR or transcripts. I’ll let you know when I either update or get my deposit!

There is hope even if you don’t see a change😊

I got a 5071c letter in the mail dated March 6th 🙄 checked transcripts and nothing

I talked to 3 reps at the irs and none of them could tell me if I had to do anything. So I called to try to make an in person appointment to get this figured out…. The lady was awesome! She looked at my account to figure out what kind of appointment I would need. She was on the phone for 25 minutes with me to figure it out.

Positive update for me! No DDD tho. Have to do multiple posts to fill you in.

Info refresher: Filed/accepted on 2-1 with TT, no advance, fees taken out of return. EITC, ACTC, 1 W2.

Transcripts have never updated past bottom 2 are 2023, all 000 and “No record of return filed”
Top 2 N/A. WMR went from processing, to still processing, now back to just processing

Only way to check is to look at transcripts to see when it was mailed. Usually it doesn’t take that long once mailed. About a week. This happened to us last year. If it’s already been rejected it should be getting ready if not already printed and mailed.

Talk with my local IRS office today and very nice woman told me there were 2 issues with my return:

1. I have to ID verify over the phone
2. Under review for errors on my return

I went back and checked my numbers and sure enough I effed up in boxes 1, 3, and 5

I immediately amended my return electronically. My Refund is a couple thousand less than before (ooops) but that’s fine. I can’t believe I messed up my AGI amount 🤦‍♀️

My question is, how long will I have to wait now approximately?

Try a congressional inquiry. One of our Discord users was able to get TAS help because she contacted her Congressperson. If you contact your local House Representative or Senator, they can reach out on your behalf. Explain your hardship.

I hope you have their name to report them. I got a referral too and I don’t know much about how they help but they sure say for those who have a financial hardship. So, obviously we need it. Their job is to assist us and not make people feel ashamed of their financial status. They have no clue what we go through on a daily.

Filed late-January. Eventually received 570 and 971 code, with a CP05 notice that they’re verifying income and credits and to give them two months to do this.

Contact taxpayer advocates and they were useless. TA chastised me and told me they can’t help me until July and that I shouldn’t have to rely on a refund to survive. Sadly, this is our situation. I don’t want to have to rely on this money to stay afloat, but here I am.

Are there any other avenues for receiving assistance? When I owed money to the IRS, they had strict and short timelines. When they owe me money, it’s crickets.

Return was a W2 and a 1099-R. Three dependents and married filing jointly.

Am I SOL and just have to wait for the IRS for months? Really feel the TA office failed me and wondering if others have the same experience? Reached out to Senators office and they had me send form in and will “look into it.”

Congrats @islandfamily… Weekly is based on your transcripts that show 05 at the end of last years return. There are 01,02,03 and 04 that are daily. Whcih means weeklies are updated once a week and as you see daily can be updated at any time.

When you go on the website it says they are now processing and staring to send out money on the week of the 18th but when I look my info up it still says it hasn’t begin to process. So fingers crossed we start to see some type of movement.

I received my refund this morning. WMR was still at one bar yesterday. 2 days ago, my transcript was still N/A. I think WMR might be a little behind the actual information.

I called 3 different people at the IRS to find out what’s going on… the letter is a glitch and I don’t have to do anything. The hold on my return has been lifted as of 2-28, and they didn’t see anything wrong with my return… so my correct and verified return is just sitting in IRS Purgatory awaiting the 846 Fairy to stumble randomly upon it… sending it on its way to my bank account 😏

F/A on 2/17 via TT, joint claim with dependents. Only change is we added a new dependent. Within a few days (maybe 3) my wmr status flipped from the 152 being processed to “still being processed.” This is also the day I saw the link that hubby and I need to verify our 2023 return. We are marked n/a no return filed. No codes with as of date of 3/11. No letter received and even requested a new one over a week ago. Also no luck getting through on the phone. Called my loan company to see if I would get my full state since irs still hasn’t came yet and she argued with me that I wouldn’t get my state first! After telling her I had to id verify and that state was coming tomorrow she said I would get full state that my loan would come out of my taxes! The card I’m using said I can get up to 2 days faster but the date for tomorrow just showed up today. Anyone else have to ID verify and get state before fed? It said give ten days but dated for tomorrow.

With the as of date being yesterday I would think that’s the day they start working on your return. Are you usually a weekly? If so you should see movement this Friday. If you are a daily then I would think it would update by Wednesday of next week.

Yes. I filed my AL state and it was approved on March 7. I haven’t received my deposit either. In 2022, I received my state return by check in the mail. I am going to wait a little longer and then I will call them.
