Filed 1/18 with TT – Rejected due to conflict with name change and SS# – refiled
Accepted 1/19 – one bar in process
No Bars 1/25 – return is still being processed, dd date when available, 152
1/27 Spoke with IRS my return is being reviewed due to name change, filing status change, larger income amount, self employment income, no additional information has been requested in the form of sending me a letter, etcThats what i’m trying to figure out as well. I usually get my hrblock email before wmr updates. I’m in Oregon so I assume I go through the Fresno, CA processing center. I wonder if this has anything to do with it? I cant order any transcripts, have no ddd, and was accepted 1/19

Here is my question.
It is for my boyfriends taxes. he did not work for 7 years so this year is the first year he is filing. Claimed 3 dependents. Our child together and his 2 from his previous marriage…that is still going though the divorce proceedings. When we filed we were told to put him as Head of household since he was claiming the kids. 2 things I am worried about
1. 7 years no tax returns…is that going to effect the IRS at all or are they use to it and will it delay the refund.
2. Filing head of household still tech married but Legally Separated (They have been separated for years.) He did not include her anywhere on his taxes…will that effect it as well.
I know I should have filed the kids with me this year but I make way too much now.
I filed the 17th accepted the 1/19 still only one bar :(
If I filed on 1/19 and was accepted on 1/19 but I am still showing 1 bar and the 152, does that mean I am SOL on DD of 1/29? Or can they possibly roll out the update through the day? I have three guys at work that filed the same day/accepted same day and all of us still only have 1 bar and the 152. Thanks so much! At least some of us have some happy endings!

I filed with taxact on Jan 11th and was accepted on the 15th still on 1 bar with tax topic 152Did anyone get a DDD that hasn’t been able to order tax transcripts…
@Mother_Of_3 when was yours authorized? and did you get a DD date or was it just deposited into your account? i hope i see it this week.

I find it odd that people that were accepted 1/21 have DDD, while those accepted 1/11 do not. I understand open day officially was 1/19, but come on now. I am trying to find out if any of these following factors have any role in how refunds are processed, as far as order and/or update:

I have no type of update yet accepted on the 12th, went through TT, no bar movement, no SBBT update,no email from TT thanking me, Cant order transcript. For people who says you have to count from the 19th bull cause it clearly says. on every sight from the day you are accepted.

I received my Direct Deposit date for this Friday around 4am this morning.

This morning mine says it was approved yesterday. That’s all it says, but good news!
Accepted 19th. I bar. Cannot order transcripts. This is not good. Last year had my money in my account 6 days after filing. So pissed off!

Filed and Accepted 1/19, had one WMR bar until yesterday- Logged in and my one bar is gone, and a “we’re processing your return” message. Simple return so I don’t know if I should panic or wait to see if I have a DD in the bank on Friday.
Filed around 8am through TaxAct on the 19th. Accepted by IRS around 11am on the 19th. 1 bar on WMR since the 19th. No update yet and cannot mail order my return transcript.
Those of you who filed on 1/20 should start seeing movement next week.
@butta Code 971 is for miscellaneous actions. So I can’t really tell you. I know that weekly cyclers are accounts that has been flagged for identity theft, offsets and collections, foreign accounts, etc. Individual IRS codes on transcripts don’t mean much by itself, especially miscellaneous ones.
Does anyone know if sbbt used irs info or turbotax info for ddd? I’m an early filer and still at one bar. I think I got my refund last year before wmr showed any movement. Sbbt says ddo of 2/2 but I’ve never gotten a refund on any other day but Friday, so 2/2 would mean 1/29 right?
To my knowledge, I have been on weekly for about that long as well and have not had any IRS debt through my lifetime. Suppose some of us are just ‘lucky’ enough to get on that weekly cycle.
Thanks to identity stealery, we cannot order online transcripts this year. However thanks to this lovely group, last year I was able to order mine online and see the ‘cycle code’. This is an 8 digit code on your transcript that gives the tax year, processing week, and day of the week you are processed. Mine ended in 05, which is the final day of the processing week which generally denotes a ‘weekly’ update.
From what I understand, most folks who are ‘weekly’ before, tend to be ‘weekly’ throughout though perhaps someone can correct me if this assumption is wrong.
Some update ‘daily’ on cycles, and their codes could end in anything from 01(Friday) to 04(Wednesday). Us ‘weekly’ cyclers have those that end in (05)Thursday. My past 3 years of transcripts ended in 05.
I asked a local tax preparer about this and he had no idea about it (and was upset I refused to pay the company $300+ to file my taxes when I could easily do them myself for a small fraction of that). However he said if I was right about getting processed on Thursday, that should mean an update by this weekend. Fingers crossed!
