@jayred they must’ve heeded my warning, because when I checked at 650am it was there. Haha, actually I checked my inbox and the email from Amex was hidden. Hit Serve card at 1058 pm on 3/3.

3/4/20 Money hit Serve card. Would’ve been early if fees not come out through SBTPGMine hit btw. I dont know when because my bank didnt send email. But it’s there. Serve Card with fees through SBTPG. There at least before 650 am on 3/4
Anyone with fees through SBTPG get their money yet?
Better be there when I wake up or SBTPG is getting my call and I will afterwards post online an instruction list of how to reach a live person there, since people seem to have trouble reaching them.
I know it’s not my Amex card. I know how they release deposits.
SBTPG, stop holding people’s funds for one day or two of interests on thousands of people’s money.
@Jay the irs has sent funds. Republic Bank, which does the same job as SBTPG (taking fees for tax software or preparers from refunds and then disbursing them to filer) disbursed funds to Jackson Hewitt clients on Monday. People who had Amex Serve and had Republic for fees had funds Monday. So it’s the banks and the banks who do fees to blame

@manpower, you should’ve known there would be trouble with your income 16,660 (666). It’s always been a bad omen for me. Not trying to make light, but a boyfriend totaled my car years ago and before I left it was 66.6 degrees. Just gather your papers and deal and don’t tell irs if they dont ask
@Melissa Many people who had review letters dated 2/19 got WMR updates on 2/29 for a DDD of 3/4
Yes, a lot of people, myself included, with 4464c letters dated 2/19 got a WMR update on 2/29 for a DDD of 3/4.

In prior years, I got my money with Amex Serve and SBTPG the day before, in the evening.
But this year they say they’ve had problems, and it seems people with cards got theirs for 2/26 the day of or day after and traditional banks..two days or more after.
I’m hoping they’ve resolved their “problems” by now, but I’m not holding my breath.
They have it already, whatever they tell you. I know bc Republic Bank that does the same thing as SBTPG already released 3/4 to Amex Serve this morning. People updated. And Amex Serve makes available immediately.

Yeah, people posted on another forum they got them just an hour or two ago if you didn’t know already. I’m so mad Taxslayer uses SBTPG.
I know that people who use my card, Amex Serve, who had fees and 3/4 DDD got theirs this morning. But Republic Bank takes their fees out, not SBTPG. Stupid SBTPG. I should’ve just paid fees upfront
@Suthrngirl you’re lucky! I have a 3/4 DDD with fees, going to my Serve card, but I have stupid SBTPG, instead of Republic…

@Jackie mine changed too. I believe that means they have it or have at least received pre authorization for it. Not sure though. In prior years, my SBTPG page only changed to received the day I received it. I have Amex Serve and previously received that evening. But I know this year SBTPG has had problems.
@osrael90: No problem. I get it. I was freaking out myself. I always get my refund by February 20th and I’m single mom to a two year old! Lately hes been sick so I have barely worked, so really need my refund. So I get it. Get on the IRS. Call main number, select English (1), Personal returns (2), and then hit 00000
@Osrael90: I’d try calling the IRS if I were you. Bc some of these people with 60 day reviews (see below) received letters, others didn’t and were told over the phone.
I can also tell you that most of us who were sent the 60 day review letter on February 20th, got a DDD for 3/4 yesterday, February 29th.
@Osrael90 Yeah, if you dont have any of the irs online account verification items, I don’t either, you won’t be able to view transcripts online.
But, I heard a rumor that the IRS had an internal service error so many people who filed early got “60 day reviews.” Basically, I think, to give the IRS more time.
I’m waiting on 3/4 deposit that has to ho through SBTPG first. Will post when it hits. Others please post too who are waiting on 3/2 to 3/4 deposits

@tigerlili_1 I have Amex Serve, so I was hoping that I’d actually get it one or two days early, even though I have fees coming out via SBTPG. I used them in the past and this was the case, but I suppose this isnt a typical tax year. Next year I’m just paying upfront.

Many of us who got that message were sent a 60 day review letter the next week. Dont panic. Many of us also got our DDD on WMR the next week.
Btw, DDD for 3/4. Filed 1/30. 4464c sent 2/20. Updated today. I did call and ask to have review expedited due to hardship on 2/28, but others with same letter send day who updated today did not
You have to wait four weeks from IRS acceptance to file for it. But you call IRS and ask to expedite review. They ask questions…and reason for hardship has to be behind on rent, can’t buy medicine, etc. They say they will file to get you a TA, but I suspect that the application file might be the expedited review itself.

Like I’ve been saying, these reviews are stall tactics in most cases to give IRS more time. They had computer issues. Many 4464c letter receivers including myself, got an update today for DDD of 3/4.
From what I can see, we were all in batch of letters sent 2/20. I called an asked to expedite review due to hardship, but others did not and have update. I bet many of you will have update for DDD of 3/9, that’s next deposit after 3/4
Chill everyone, I was freaking out bc I got a 4464c/60 day review letter on Monday that was sent on 2/20/20. The people who were in the same boat and I all got WMR updates today for 3/4/20.
In most cases, these reviews are delay tactics for IRS.
I did call IRS today and file application to expedite review due to hardship. But others who also got updates today with 4464c letter did not.

A lot of people who got that letter within past week post today that their transcript updated to deposit date of 3/4 last night. I’m still waiting and filed today for them to expedite review due to hardship
I didn’t get an update either. Although I cant check my transcripts, I know bc I filed the hardship app with a rep today
It seems a lot of people who were under 60 day review had an update for refund sent on transcript overnight. I can’t check mine online. I hope….

We must be the last of the early filers…I am in 60 day review status. I’ve noticed a dramatic drop in posts to this forum in the past few days.
Listen, I dont know about you, but 80% of my refund is refundable credits. I’m upset that I don’t have my refund, but it’s a gift. A blessing. It really is. Yes, we’re entitled in the way that it is the law, but morally, we aren’t entitled. I guess we just have to be more patient.

I heard a rumor that there was an internal service error that affected several returns. Who knows. I just wish they’d hurry up and review mine and release mine so I could get my son and myself what we need.
But on the positive, the longer it takes, the longer I will have money, I suppose?

Talk to IRS rep today and asked about the rumor that these letters/reviews were because ACTC/EITC only and that many people were going to get dates next week. While she wouldn’t overtly say, “yeah, they’re buying time,” she said “yes, reviewing these credits take time and we have to review them.”
@Elca the theory in the story was that they have fewer experts at IRS now and they need the experts for reviews or audits of the rich people’s returns. But I think it runs deeper and is an agenda against poor, minorities, and women
And btw I saw a news story that they’re reviewing more low income people and fewer high income people these days because it’s easier to do.
And yes, it sucks. I’m a single mom to my toddler son Link. I’ve been getting no hours at work. I really really depended on the money. Was really planning to use it to get us going. Right now I cant even by containers to organize his toys
Supposedly many who claimed both actc and eic are being reviewed. And supposedly if you’re due it, you’ll probably get it next week. I was told to wait until this Friday to call. And believe me, I’m calling, unless I miraculously get a deposit or DDD by then.
@tigerlili_1: I can’t access my transcripts online. No auto loans etc. So that’s why I was hoping you could look, or at least see if the next big DDD is 3/2
@tigerlili_1: so there’s a rumor that the 4464c letter people are actually going to get direct deposit dates soon. Supposedly for 3/2. Can you possibly see if SBTPG has any pre authorization for that date yet? Maybe you can’t look today, but maybe can check tomorrow since it’s a 5 day pre authorization notification, right?
@Jenn: Also, on another thread about this, someone said with some assurance that if you have both the EITC and ACTC, not just one, then you’re getting reviewed no matter what and if everything checks out, you should have refund first week of March. I guess we’ll find out.
@Jenn: interesting they told you that thing about the date of the 27th. They told me to call on the 28th for the hardship. But they didnt say the thing about if I didnt have a date by then etc. I thought it might be that. Hoped. It’s good to hear that from you and I hope it comes true. They must be doing these reviews and updates over the next few days.
This person I know who works for Jackson Hewitt said she has already heard of 25 of her clients getting these letters, 12 came in yesterday alone. She said usually, only 6 clients or so total get those letters during a norm tax season. So we are not alone

I got the review letter as well and when I called, they told me to call back after the 27th, so on the 28th. Isn’t the 26th, Wednesday, a major update day? So let’s hope everyone’s theory is correct and that it won’t take sixty days…
Unless someone knows why i have to wait 7 days from the 20th (when letter sent) to talk to them again when I receive a 4464c letter
I suggest everyone who has the “still being processed with no bars message call the IRS. I did and they told me they sent me a 60 day review letter, which I got today.
I asked if I could have a manual review expedited and was told I have to wait until February 28th to call back in to do this because my letter send date was February 20th. Does anyone know why I have to wait?
@taxclay: I did the same thing with my defendant’s ssn and resubmitted and am in the same boat…letter 4464c.
So I had the above message, etc and got the letter 4464c, stating I’m under 60 day review. I asked for them to expedite a manual review due to hardship.
They said I have to call back on February 28th because they sent it on the 20th. Does anyone know why I have to wait over 7 days before i can file for the hardship accommodation? Please tag me if you respond.
