Never had an issue with us and we have been filing like that for 6-7 years now. As ling as you kept records and can prove everything, then you are fine…many people file this way.

I filed on 1/28/2014 with a DD of 02/06/14. When the DD wasn’t completed on 02/07/14 I called the IRS at 7AM sharp. Was on hold for 28 minutes and finally got a rude person (surprise!) who basically told me that “they” have up to 3 weeks to process my return and that any other date that I see online “isn’t the IRS”. I quoted the parts she said. I just learned how to login and get my transcripts. I have a 841 code with refund approved and then cancelled. I also did my son’s return with a DD scheduled for 02/10/2014 and guess what? His is IN his account and it’s only the 9th right now. So… I’ll check every day. If I remember right.. the IRS played this little game with me last year with a “mini audit” and once I replied through mail – they send me a receipt of 0.00 due all of a sudden. That was AFTER I had received my return. If the people processing my taxes are anything like what I talked to on the phone… that explains the issue we’re all having right now.

so I got a huge question for a MOD ive been on and off the site here for a few days now racking my brain on the tax delay lol sooooo heres my dumb dumb question I am self employed and on my tax return I used my name as well as my business name, but in all honesty I do not have a EIN number it just says I can use the code because what I do for a living is Detail Semi’s and apprently, that falls under a carwash code?! IDK if this is correct or if maybe I should shoot them a call tomorrow I do not want to get some notice sayin hey douche you uhh cant do that lol. Technically this is only my second year filing with my small business. So I am still a little new….my return started at a lil over 11k for a AGI but after I put everything in for the year my AGI was like 2500 last year, it was even less like 1300 so idk if that would cause a fling or not but I got everything wrote down I always keep track of what I used out of my lock box cause most everything I do is with cash and I have too keep a balance rolling. please someone thats a mod or knows the tax laws let me know if I am ok in what I am doing………..thanks!

@Jenna: I’ve heard of people getting their refunds up to 2 days earlier than their DDD, depending if their banks released their funds ASAP. I’ve heard that some banks have held on to the $ until the actual DDD. Can you post up later if you get yours early/on time? I know mine’s only a day later than yours, but I’d like to see if it comes in earlier…thx!

This also happened to me last year. I was starting to get so mad at this point i just gave up i didnt care anymore. I woke up on monday morning checked my account because it was my payday. I was very surprised to see an extra 6grand . those
assholesare not very nice. So everyone needs to use turbo tax for free. All that money we give them.z

On the WMR app the IRS provides… there seems to be a glitch. I filed my taxes late January and on the website it stated they received my refund 1/30/14. I downloaded the app for my phone and checked yesterday using the app it stated “your tax return was received on February 12, 2014″ then it states “your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 12, 2014″. On the website it doesn’t say received on February 12, 2014 and they don’t mention when return was received. Needless to say February 12th is a future date so my question and concern is how reliable is the app and could this be just my tax info entered into their system incorrectly somehow? Also anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi! I am dealing with a similar situation as well. I have a DDD of 2/12 but with the standard offset language at the bottom. WMR is still stating that I will be getting my full refund deposited on 2/12 but when I call the offset phone # it states that I have an offset with the State of NJ and it is the full amount of my refund that they are taking. I am current with my student loans and pay on time every month. I have never received anything from the State of NJ, or TOP (from what I am reading Treasury Offset Program) who is supposed to let the debtor know that this is going to occur. It is just such a let down to me because I had no idea that this would or could happen. I have had student loans since 2006 and ever year I have filed taxes and have never had my refund taken to pay down the student loan. Any advise would be really appreciated. Should i not anticipate any refund or should I hope for the best that the “may” wording in the offset language is to my favor. Thank you in advance!
