My refund hit my card at 1:57AM (I’m in Texas). Did not have fee’s taken out, and had it going to a Kroger Rewards Visa Prepaid Card. So thankful it was on time, good luck to everyone still waiting!
This happened to me 2 years ago. I had moved and forgot to update my address. PIN Verification was sent to the wrong address, and it delayed my tax return. I ended up having to file a paper return in order to change my address.
@razor sharp, thank you!!! That helps
Thanks Greywall. I have a prepaid card and usually get paid early if not on time, so hopefully I’ll have it in the morning!
@lily Does it typically deposit on the date thats on the IRS site?
I’m worried that it won’t be until Friday – I’m pretty sure that I received my return on Friday’s in the past…. I’m still confused on whether the 2/5 DDD is the send date or the date it hits the account??
May 22, 2018 at 11:10 am in reply to: Post here if wmr says Your tax return is still being processed #4247017I was finally able to get a hold of someone that was helpful at the IRS. I filed in March, had to file a paper return because my PIN was mailed to my old address. On April 9th I called and was told I was an “unpostable” due to filing without my pin. They then put me back in processing. I was told that I should update by June 11. If there are any issues with your account this year it is NINE weeks from the time that put you back in processing. She told me that it SHOULDNT take the full nine weeks but here we are just 3 weeks away from June 11th. I’m hoping to get some kind of an update soon
I have the same thing, no tax topic 152, amount there, lost the one bar I had…It’s been 3 weeks, now I did have to mail in my return due to not having my pin number because of an address change.
When I told the IRS I had an address change, she basically looked into my return (finally)….she had to ask me a set of questions to verify my identity, due to me filing without a pin (the letter with my pin number got sent to my old address).
Once she verified my identity she told me that there were no other holds on it, and I am not back in normal processing…
HOWEVER, she DID say that it can be up to 9 weeks…putting me getting my refund in June…I’m hoping that this is the garb they have to say and I’ll see a change soon…
My advice, keep calling the IRS until you get someone who is actually willing to help and look into your account.
Good luck!
Yes I am in the same boat…. I had to mail in my return because I had an address change and my pin was sent to my old address…I mailed it in over 3 weeks ago, had one bar after about 6 days and then they’ve been gone ever since. I finally called the IRS and they tried to give me the 6 week for mailed in returns speech, but then I told her I had an address so she told me to hold on…. she asked me a series of questions to verify my identity and said since she did that she would put me back in processing. I had a hold due to filing without a pin even though one was issued
She did say it could be up to NINE weeks, but then I am back in the normal processing now…. So I guess, now I wait!
You’re not alone though…mine does not have tax topic 152… that only shows up when the return is officially accepted. Since mine is still in processing it’s not there…Hang int here

They told me June also…I’m hoping that’s just the standard that they have to say, lol. I still haven’t gotten my bars back, but they said I was back in processing, so hoping to see those little orange bars soon. Happy waiting!
April 18, 2018 at 11:06 am in reply to: Post here if wmr says Your tax return is still being processed #4244955I e-filed my return, only for it to be rejected because I didn’t have my pin. Well my pin was mailed to my old address on file with the IRS from last year. I ended up having to mail in my return on March 20, received one bar about 5 days later, only for all bars to disappear, and the generic still processing message to pop up.
I waited about three weeks and finally called the IRS today and received the MOST HELPFUL woman, on my first time to call. I consider myself very lucky.
She informed me that because I had identity theft last year, and that I didn’t file with a pin, that was causing the hold up. She asked me some questions about last years return, I answered them, and then she was able to tell me that I was back in the processing sequence.
She of course gave me the 6-9 week time frame window, but then did assure me that it most likely won’t take that long.
Hope this helps anyone with missing bars. Moral of the story, missing bars doesn’t ALWAYS mean review. Call the IRS, and try to get information. Not I wait….again!
@givememydamnmoney I saw on another thread that your bars disappeared and went to the your tax refund is still being processed etc…how long after that did you get a DDD
I’m getting frustrated and a little nervous…I was able to order my account transcript last Thursday, but still can’t order my return transcript. No children, no EIC, nothing but a simple return….What is the deal? When is the next big update…and why can I order my account trans but still can’t order the return…UGH
Sooo has anyone been able to order transcripts yet?
Hannnnah I hope you’re right.
Filed/Accepted 1/25
one bar
no credits
no kids
Simple Return
Can’t order trannies yet Here’s hoping pretty sure I got my refund on a Friday last year so I was thinking I’d get a DDD for the 10th. HOpefully we all get an update soon; it seems like we’re all in the same boat; so at least that is reassuring! haHappened to me last year and I had to call the identity protection line…
Still one bar…. I received my refund on a Friday last year; just curious does that make me a weekly? or daily? I’m assuming we should see an update this wknd…heres hoping
Sammy Simpson….
I was accepted 1/25 also…not child credits or EIC credits, or education credits…just a simple return and I can’t order trans either…im thinking I will update this wknd..
@Bccc That happened to me last year and after calling multiple times I finally got an answer through the IRS that I needed to call the Identity Protection line to confirm my identity. Not saying this is your issue-but thats exactly what happened to me…
Lost bars and they were gone for a while…
Simple return.. accepted 1/25, one bar since 1/25…still can’t order transcripts… :(
woohoo! just checked again and i have one bar!
Woohoo…one bar!
Jenny: Yes I was accepted last night-I don’t have any bars yet either….Last year it took 24 hours after accepting for me to update….tomorrow you should see something :)
I did indeed have the letter at home! Entered the IP pin they sent me and bam…returns accepted…thank goodness
Hmmmm…. Ill have to check my mail bin..thankfully I don’t throw anything away-I did have an identity theft situation last year-I didnt think anyone had stolen my identity, but i had to call and answer a series of questions etc to prove I was who I was…I bet I have a letter from the IRS at home.
Thanks for the response! I’m just curious why I was never told to give one before? I thought it was weird that this year I had too….does everyone have to do this now?
Anyone know what it means when I try to view my trans online I get an error saying a technical problem has occurred, I get all the way through filling in my information and then get that? I can still order both transcripts by mail.
Filed 1/15 accepted 1/25 with TT
I haven’t been able to SEE my tanscript yet because I keep getting the -9900 technical problem error…but I WAS able to order my account transcript to be mailed to me….Can I assume quietly, that I may be in this batch?
Yep this is correct have also used netspend for years. They do post all day, and they can not see “pending deposits” they can only see them when they post. I called them earlier, and they told me that Meta Bank is who actually received the deposit from the IRS…so it goes by when netspend actually received it from Meta Bank…if that helps…also I get my direct deposit from my employer from netspend(because they post 2 days early) and i get them sometimes over night on wed, and sometimes on thurs mornings…i have gotten deposits posted from other employers on different days of the week…they post when they receive the funds…in my person experience
