I’m going to just leave it alone at least until this 8863 issue is resolved… now if you didnt claim that form by all means check to see what is going on… also check the its.gov site for other forms that have been delayed the check your return to see if you have them…
getn aggravated filed 1/26 accepted 1/28 been in processing every since finally was able to order transcripts still shows in processing and no info from any irs rep…. not sure what I’m looking at everyone else is getn a date of 2/13
I wonder what happens to the ones accepted prior to 1/27
so if i just leave it alone will it still be processed no matter what? is that what they’re saying? we need to call in to have them remove the hold?
I was also accepted WAY early also I got my accepted letter from TA on the 23rd…
OK ONCE MORE I GOT A 4464C LETTER THIS AFTERNOON IN THE MAIL SPOKE TO IRS THIS MORNING THEY SAID I HAVE NO ISSUES AND Where’s My Refund (WMR) AN HOT LINE SAYS PROCESSING 21 DAY STUFF WHAT SHOULD I THINK
@mrsdaw thanks for the info…I am still going to wait till something updates after the 14th I have a 8863 and a profit and loss from self employment which were delayed this year… I will keep you all posted on what happens…. I also just want to say thank you all for your help and support with out it i know I would be loosing my mind…
Here is our story so far:
Filed on the 1/16 (HRB) IRS accepted it 1/30 was able to order both transcripts on 2/4. Still said processing on 2/5 so we called. They told us everything looked fine and that it was still processing give it until 2/20 and call back. Called again yesterday to see what was going on and if we could get a DDD. They lady told us it was under review. We didn’t do anything wrong, NO letter had been sent out. No codes were given. She also couldn’t give us an average time it takes to review.
My question is: If we aren’t getting a letter, or error codes then what is going on?I highly advise everyone to call that number. I spoke with a Ms. Garcia who was a sweetheart and she was very helpful. She stated that the IRS has a new system this year and for that system they accepted a few returns as a test. [I was accepted on the 24th] Those returns accepted as a test were just that a test, by no means was that your actual acceptance date since they did not begin processing until the 30th. So the test subjects returns fully went through the system and were assigned a number and then when they opened the flood gates on the 30th they were sent back through for what they call re-sequencing. That triggered the 4464c letter. She looked over my return line by line and told me there were no red flags and that it was actually being processed she even verified my banking information to make sure there would be no hold ups when the time comes around. I thanked her so much because I have gotten nothing but jerks on the line unwilling to assist. She also stated that if you were really up for review your WMR would update to say that along with an error code. If you were accepted early I would assume maybe you are in the same category as me but it always feels better to hear that for yourself so call call call and goodluck everyone. I called today and actually got a nice rep on the first try. She checked my info and told me the small deposit I received was just my federal withholding. (Which I already figured). She then told me I technically wasn’t under review but my return was pulled because I filed my niece and she was filed by someone else last year. She said my return was in a pile and it’s a possibility it will be examined by a IRS agent within 90 days!! She said its also a possibility that they would kick it out and send out my refund but for right now my return is in some kind of retarded IRS limbo state. Long story short: I’m pretty much fucked until they decide they’re done with me

I found a number for the Refund Hold Department just in case anyone else would like to call it is 1-866-897-3315. Please keep us posted everyone :)
The lady I talked to was very nice. She said it COULD take the extra 7 days…but didn’t let on that it was anything serious. I went as far as asking if I needed to start making copies of all my receipts and parent payments (I have had a daycare for many many years).
Has anyone gotten their refund even though they’ve been reviewed?

I tried to call 3 times yesterday they won’t tell me nothing even called the holds department for info he was very nice said that they could only look up my info for 2011….WMR stills says this for me

I also still have not received my account transcript as of today…. one week later… maybe it will come Monday or maybe just maybe (praying) that’s what the letter about… it had no code to reference to at all…. I decided not to call until this whole delay of the 8836 form has been settled…Also after I got the letter I went flipping google search crazy and A LOT of people using TT are getting the letter and the codes on WMR… I’m just praying for good news for ALL of us…
The lady I talked to today says the updates in the processing system caused some returns to be kicked to review for no reason at all. When she looked at my account, she went line-by-line and say no codes or flags. After having me on hold for about ten minutes, she came back on the line, said she removed the hold on my refund, and placed my account back into the normal refund delivery system. She said I should be able to see my direct deposit date in a couple days.
If you have been told by an IRS agent that you are under review, or that your refund is on hold, ask to be connected to the “holds department”. They can tell you more than the regular reps, and they have the power to make changes on your account.
I filed on 2/4 and accepted on 2/4. Got a 2/12 direct deposit on wmr this morning. I used Turbo Tax but I dont think that matters. I did my daughters on HRB site on 2/4 and she had a deposit date of 2/11 on wmr.
impatientlywaiting: That coincides with what the agents where telling me. Two different agents stated I should still receive my refund in the 21 day time frame from the date it started processing on the 28th. We shall see as the 28th day if they include weekends will be the 2/17 as I know 2/18 is a holiday.

Shows 21 day message and Tax topic 152- same since 30 mins after the acceptanceI’m under review…filed the 30th, accepted the 30th as per the IRS. I just called, and was told that I’m under review, and it should only last approx. 7 more days. Same return as the past 10 years. Self Employed, 2 dep, HOH, EIC. In fact, My return is about the same as last year, and the past few years.
Ive been reading the forum here for a few days, I too efiled 1/30 accepted 1/31,,with our tax guy. Normally by now I would have had a DDD or had my money, but this year 8 days later, the WMR,IRS2go, or status line, have no idea who i am or what i’m talking about apparently, so today i called the SPEAK TO A HUMAN number, held for 22 minutes, and spoke to a really nice guy who I explained to, I think I havent been updated, because my routing number on my bank account changed but not my account number,,we were sold to FN from HSBC few months back. My tax guy should have put this on my return. So the nice CSR informed me that my return is fully processed, theres a DDD of 2/13, and that my bank info matches up with what they have, and that no problems have arrised, check my account next wed. I have no idea why the IRS has these apps, websites, phn. numbers etc. if they arent going to update people, at least acknowledge my exsistance. So, hopefully you all get the same information soon on the website, app or auto line. I’ll be waiting and checking my account. This fed government is so screwed up now, i doubt it will ever go back to the way it was, and i’m expecting it to get worse years to come. Its too far gone, we will be lucky to get returns in the future. I guess 47% of every dollar I make isnt good enough for them, theyre frothing at the mouth for more. Good luck to us all.
Okay here’s my two cents not that it really means anything on the 1st of Feb I ordered a account transcript for 2012 could not order the return transcript cause I have the education credit which as we all found out does not process until Feb 14 so How can I get a transcript on a year that hasn’t happen yet… for me anyways… what I am thinking is I received the letter because of the delay of the 8863… there is no code on the letter or the hotline or WMR….I am still and have been since the 23rd processing… I AM NOT calling cause all they do is give me the run around… My patiences is way to then right now for that… now I could be totally wrong about this theory but… I wont know for sure till next week…. I will keep you posted on what happens…
Just seeing if any 2/5 people exist. I was accepted at 11:55 on the 5th. NO DDD yet didnt expect that. lol
I’ve been stuck on processing w/the 21 day message on both WMR & the hotline (and still am) but was finally able to order both my transcripts…is this a good sign????

I called the above number just to be sure and I am not being held for any offsets. DDD would really ease my mind.
i don’t even wanna try and call. i know i’m gonna lose my temper and they’re just doing their job. wmr still says processing and when i call refund hotline it’s the same message. still no error code or irs ref code on wmr or hotline.
When ordering transcripts do I request the account transcript or return transcript? I am able to get the account but not the return. I am assuming the return transcript is the one everyone is talking about.
It took me two days after ordering transcripts to get a dd.
I filed my taxes on 1/30 and accepted on 1/30. I have been processing every since No change in situation, same return filed last year. I filed my daughters return on 2/1 using HRB online and her situation had completely changed, she got her refund today 2/8!!!! I don’t understand the hold up. I am used to waiting 10 days to get my refund but when others who filed after me have already received theirs it’s irritating! I havent called the IRS, I thought I would get a DDD day today but I am now considering calling just to see what the hold up could be.
I was finally able to order my transcripts! Is this a good sign? Been processing on both WMR & hotline..and still am… please tell me I’m moving in the right direction!
I was accepted 2/1 and able to order my transcript today (finally). Is it possible that I WONT get a DD date tomorrow?
I had the same thing happen to me. I ordered both transcripts yesterday and spoke with a very nice IRS agent in which she told me my DDD is 2/12. I checked WMR site around 1am and it reflected my DDD on the 2/12
Okay, finally some movement. I was able to order return transcript this morning. That’s all I got, though.
I’m in the same boat as the rest of you. I filed on 1/31 and was accepted on 1/31. I also received a text from HRB on 2/1 saying the IRS accpeted my return. I’ve checked daily, went from processing to ghosted, back to processing then as of two days ago it was has “Still processing, a date will be provided when available”. Tried calling to make sure there were no red flags, both IRS and HRB said everything was fine. Not quite understanding what the hold up is. Last year I filed and was accepted on 1/26 and received my federal exactly a week later on 2/2. We (my husband and I) owe no prior debts, the only thing I can think of is we claimed moving expenses but I’ve looked and Form 3903 is not one of the forms that arent being processed until mid Feb.-March. We filed MFJ, EIC, CTC and claimed moving expenses. Never had this problem before…so annoyed with the IRS and their ridiculous method of processing returns!
I called and spoke to a lady who told me that it is showing as still processing. I explained to her that I was given the 2/8 date and she didn’t know what to tell me. All she could see was the current status. Uggh! I am so frustrated. I have never heard of anyone getting a dd then going back to processing.
Well at least now we have an actual date. Hopefully we will all see some refunds starting the week of the 18th….

Just read this:
Starting on Sunday, Feb. 10, the IRS will start processing tax returns that contain Form 4562, Depreciation and Amortization. And on Thursday, Feb. 14, the IRS plans to start processing Form 8863, Education Credits.

I am in similar situation. DDdate 2/8 but SBBT shows nothing . WMR never updated for me and haven’t had the bar for days now. I got the date by calling and speaking with a rep.
I was given dd date of 2/8 but nothing is showing anywhere yet. Worried!
I was finally able to order our return transcript last night for the first time. No dd yet today and when I called they won’t look up the info but I did have a debt that I owed last year from 2008 that I paid and wanted to make sure that it showed my payment so she did look that up. We have a new address this year and when I called a few days ago it was still showing our old address but today it showed the new address and phone number that I put on my return so I am hoping to see a dd soon. I am thinking that just about everyone that called in today is getting a date of 2/13 so I am thinking that might be my date. If I am not mistaken last year my dd was on a Wednesday too.
I filed and got accepted on Feb.1 this morning I was finally able to order my transcript(need it for school), but no update on when I will get my money…..and the site seems to be down as well.
Okay so I filed on the 31st was accepted on the 31st. I’m still being told processing but I was able to order transcripts this morning, How long after everyone order transcripts were they getting deposit dates?
Still no update for me. I really wish I had been one of the lucky ones to get my refund quick and early. Too bad, so sad. I guess no Vegas for me. . .
I just called JTH they said they are not Liberty Tax bank but they will only give you the same information IRS do on their website. I was suppose to get my DD on the 5th and I still have not recieved it from liberty tax bank. I am really irritated I called them and they keep giving me the run around well I am over it and I am never filing with them again. Everyone who filed online has gotten their on the DD date or before. Ugh every angry.

I haven’t posted in a few days because I didn’t want to discourage other people. I was set for dd on 2/6 and finally got it this morning! Never again will I use HR Block and have them take out fees. This is the first time it has taken so long and the first time I used HR Block… it could be a coincidence but maybe not

Yes, ordering transcripts is positive. Finally updated today with a DD if 2/12. Was accepted 1/31 thru HRB free-file.
Finally updated! Return accepted 1/30 now this am finally DD of 2/14. At least the progress bar even advanced.
and now it’s 02/08 7am Pacific time and sbbt still hasn’t gotten my deposit
Accepted 2/1. Only getting one bar, 21 day message on WMR and I was finally able to order both transcripts last night.

I filed 1/29/2013. Was received by IRS on the 30th per FREETAXUSA. I am STILL pending as of this morning. I did however, call the transcript hotline and FINALLY was able to order BOTH transcripts. What I mean by that.. I could order the RETURN and if there were any changes… So, I am finally hoping for some good news soon.
Mine has not posted yet. It has to hit SBBT first but I am CST and they are in Ca. Hoping to see it when they open then in my bank overnight.
So today is D-day. Now here’s a cool little twist. WMF shows refund approved status, but when i checked my account the DD was already there.
As Peanut stated, it will get there!Refund arrived on time on DD date 02/08/13. Were accepted shortly before noon CT on 01/31/13.

I woke up this morning to my Orange Status bar back and a DD of 2/12/13. Woo! We were a late acceptance on 1/30 (9pm CST), and my status bar completely went away 2 days ago, and I couldn’t order transcrips, check on the IRS2G0 app or the hotline, I was quite worried.
Hopefully others will have the same luck!

Ok, here’s my story:
Used Turbotax. Filed 1/24, accepted 1/26. 1 W-2, EIC with 3 kids, same as last 3 years.
WMR and hot line have been processing ever since. No codes or review messages.
I called yesterday and the rep wasn’t helpful, said they didn’t get my return on 1/26, that they got it 1/31. Said everything looked ok, just give it 3 weeks (21 days).
Called again this morning since I still didn’t get an update on WMR, rep looked and said I had a hold on my return but she didn’t know why. She didn’t see any codes or anything and said they haven’t mailed out a letter. If they need anything they will mail one out but just figure 45 days before its released!
So I called this afternoon to see if another rep seen something different. Nope, it’s under review, she doesn’t know why. I may get a letter, maybe, if they need info. I asked her why WMR doesn’t say I’m under review and she said its not accurate.
I am soooo annoyed with this whole thing!I’ve had the message: We are still processing your return..a refund date will be provided..had this message since Monday Feb 4th

wonder if I should re-file?I hope you’re right Julia! I started seeing this message today, and there was an error on my return that was corrected yesterday. I called and the rep seemed very positive that I would be receiving my return “very soon”, she couldn’t give me a date though.
It will show up on the day of your DD at 12am.
I got it too, submitted somewhere around the 24th, accepted on the 30th. Got a text from HRB just like randomly in the middle of the day on 2/1 saying “Congratulations! The IRS has accepted your federal tax return.”
At the time, I assumed they were just behind on things. But I suspect now that that was when they “really” accepted it. Have been processing with 1 bar since it was “first” accepted on the 30th, but today it switched to the still being processed, a refund date will be provided when it is available message with no bar. Rumor has it that means I should have a ddd tomorrow morning? Got my fingers crossed.
No offsets, no fees, no education credit, no message so far that I am being reviewed or any other reason to believe I might be delayed, mfj, eic, 2 children (1 born in 2012), dd to a regular bank account. Am I missing anything? :)
