Just a quick question. Does IRS process all returns by computer or they are manually process by humans? Also, once you get accepted, does it automatically means you will be approved. I filled with TaxAct on the 19th and got accepted about 3hrs later.

Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available is what mine says today. I filled on the 19th and the same day it showed accepted with 1 bar and today it changed to what is stated above with no bar and tax topic 152. Did anybody else do this and I hope there is not a problem.

Mine disappeared last year and I was under review. Got accepted on Jan 16th and got dd 3-25-2015.

So, for everyone that was accepted on 1/11/2016, that was just a testing phase, therefore if you have received your refund within the 7-10 days always, it does not start from this day it starts from the day that the IRS started processing returns which was 1/19/2016. For everyone whom was accepted on or before 1/19/2016, you all will be receiving your refunds 1/29/2016. Remain calm please, assumptions kill. Don’t need anymore stress waiting for refunds :)

I don’t think they will do any update until Monday for *Federal* and about State will i live in California and this is what it saying now

Just filed today, also with H&R Block, and it got accepted a little after 30 minutes of me filing. Now THAT was FAST. Last year, it took a few days for that to happen. Of course, we shall see how the next 2 bars move along. lol!

I have filed with H&R Block last 4 years and never had issues. I filed with them on 1/18 and was accepted the same day. Just FYI.

Now I just check another return that I did that went through TPG bank it said that my expected refund date for that particular return was expected to be received by February 9th now I just checked another return that I did that went through p_p_g bank it said that my expected refund 8 for that particular return was expected to be received by february ninth

But if you check with your bank that Santa Barbara, Republic TPG you can tell if the bank has been notified by the IRS I checked Republic Bank it says that my deposit has not been received yet that lets me know that the IRS have contacted them check it out

I did my own taxes on Tax Act will go through Republic bank filed on the 15th of January was accepted on the 15th of January I do believe everyone who fall between the 11th and 20th will get their approval by on Monday or Tuesday and will get that direct deposit on January 29th

I think no one will have and approval bar until Monday I think that everyone who file their taxes between January 11th and January 20th will get their checks on January 29th that’s only my assumption sometimes you will get your return and there’s no approval are given

I saw someone on the IGMR facebook page say their bars have disappeared, last year mine disappeared on a Friday and I woke up Saturday to a DDD of 1/29.

Disappearing bars DON’T always mean you will have a DDD. My sister’s bars disappeared last year the same time mine did and she didn’t wake up to a DDD BUT there are a lot of people who do.

Hello my CA friends ! So here is my situation so far:

1/19- filed both federal and state with TT and both were accepted within 3 hours.

1/20- check FTB.gov, said we have no records…. Blah blah

1/21- at 1pm same message as mentioned above
Checked again at 8pm, gave a message stated I was entering the wrong info and I’m certain I was!
1/22- checked at 9 am, now it’s saying we received your return on 1/19 and then the generic time processing message…

I called a few hours ago and the rep Keith said everything appears to be processing as normal then gave me the 7-10 timeframe for refund to be issued …
I must say normally I get my ca refund within 3-4 days. Things do seem a bit different this year

I don’t think anyone has a date yet but people on the facebook page have said their bars have disappeared. Last year mine disappeared the day before I got my DDD. I checked and I still have one bar so I’m probably not going to see a date tommorw :( but it’s still possible.

Filed with TT 1/19, accepted same day. Had one bar on WMR until today, now I have Tax Topic 152. Although TT says between 1/20 and 2/9, I’m not holding my breath…that’s just the 21 day window the IRS claims to average on electronic returns.

This is a no win situation if your parents get the IRS involved.

They can face severe penalties up to and including jail time.

You lived with them for part of the year WITH your kids. No matter how long they have had custody, there was an adult living with them who contributed 9,000 to the home. Whether that is true or not that is how the IRS views it. So if they didn’t provide 100% of your kids financial support they can’t claim they did but neither can you.

It’s in the best interest of all parties involved to not involve the IRS and to work it out between you 3.
It could take up to 18 months to get things settled anyway so in the mean time nobody will get any money.

I filed 1/10/16 accepted the morning of 1/12/16. Still sitting at 1 bar. I understand these things take time, and I am ok with that. I just wish we would see some form of movement (for anyone), so that atleast we knew things were moving at the IRS. I have read a lot of new theories/process that people think may/may not be happening this year. However truth is, until people start rolling into bar 2 and deposits- we have no clue what is going to happen. I don’t know if the whole social # thing is correct. I am a 0 and still not getting any where. I guess all we can do is wait….. And well drive ourselves crazy checking LOL. This time of year is definitely bitter sweet. And regardless of whether you had your kid 7 months 10 months you still I suppose a file that you had your kids for 12 months but if your parents were the sole provider for you and your children other than that $9,000 you should have let your parents claim you and your kids and then ask them to give you a certain amount but $9,000 can’t take care of three grown-ups rent light gas and food

Courtney that’s not true. The IRS doesn’t know why people are requesting their transcripts nor do they care that the reason COULD be to find out when they will have their deposits. It’s no skin off their backs. I had to request mine because of student loans and I’m in the process of buying a house. There are several reasons people request them.

People are panicked enough, so please don’t spread rumors. I’m not trying to be mean just trying to add logic to this whole confusing thing.

But to keep him from suing you in court you can make some kind of arrangement with him to give him part of that money because if you lived with your parents with your children you didn’t pay any rent life or gas or provide any food then your parents would be entitled to claim not only your children but you as well, so I would advise you to sit down and talk to your parents because they do have custody now of your children tell the reason why you were living with your parents you could not have taken care of your kids rent light gas off of $9,000 a year

Guess that means they still haven’t processed my return, not really a surprise since it was only accepted on the 19th.

Well since you have already claimed your children and you were accepted there’s nothing he can do at this point but take you to court and sue you he cannot stop the IRS from paying you because they are your children luckily you claim them first, but they didn’t get custody until October so legally you have the right to claim them now you saying that he provided most of the care and expenses for the year but you will get the return and I think some parts of the story is missing because why would they give your parents custody if you weren’t being a neglectful parent

I just read that we test batchers will be getting DDD between 1 /22 and 1/29 /16,this only applies to those of is accepted by 15- Jan. Due to security issues from last year DDD dates will not be posted as so many used their phones to check and were victim of fraudulent activity last year

I submitted my return on 1/20/16 it was accepted the same day. Dept of revenue says give them 60 days because of extra security measures to prevent fraud. Don’t know if it will take the entire 60 days though.

I think this is the 2nd or third year I’ve come to this forum and I have noticed every year that H&R Block people always have issues! I only filed with them once, about 6 years ago and they messed up my taxes so bad I didn’t get my refund till April!

In the future I wouldn’t file with them if I were you. They are all about quantity and not quality.

So far still 1 bar on wmr with tax topic 152. I tried to see if I could get my transcripts mailed, but it said they were not available for 2015. I am hoping we see movement on wmr tonight with ddd for 1/29. I’m basing this on what happened last year. Last year I filed and was accepted on 1/22 and my refund hit my bank 1/30. OK, I did my own taxes with FreeTaxUSA on 1/5/16, received an email on 1/12/16 saying my taxes were accepted by the IRS. I have been checking the IRS2GO apl daily, but still only on 1 bar. I called also and was told that although my taxes were accepted early, processing them didn’t start until 1/20/16, and they are starting with early filers. It was also explained to me that they are going by the last digit of the S.S.# for early filers. 0-9 in the queue of early filers, then once the early filers are complete, they will go by first come, first serve. Hope this helps, didn’t help me, lol.

you can try to request one, but try to request the return transcript. if your refund is done it will tell you they will mail it out. if you arent ready yet it will say not available
