I received a ddd date of 25 feb so this is probably the fastest turnaround ever for me. Part of that is due to me filing later than usual this year but still… pretty cool.

Filed and accepted 2/16 updated to processing on Where is my refund today.
I have ddd of tomorrow and it didn’t hit yet so I wouldn’t expect it early.

Did you go to the more section and see if a refund had been issued? Cause if it updated to zero that could signify that they paid you.
@VegasNich. Without getting too specific, how big is big? Mine is relatively big as I withhold extra from state to pay for my fed so mine is in the 6999 to 9999 range. Mine approved a day after many who filed the same day. I’m assuming mine is kinda on the large side but not sure where they draw the line. 10k, 25?, 5? Not sure. Hope that helps.
No change on masstaxconnect but on where is my refund updated to ddd of feb 11th…. so I’m good.

@Nicole Last year when I had a question about my return I messaged them through MTC and received a prompt reply. You could try doing that….
Filed 2/10/24 accepted 2/10 showed as processing yesterday. Today shows with number in green 2/13
Mine that I got the DDD for was filed and accepted 1/23 Maybe shoot them a secure email if you are concerned. They seem very responsive.
Just got DDD of Feb 21… I
…. by immediately I mean I checked right now after I knew they were open for business at 9:30 am
So I sent a message through the tax connect at 6 am inquiring about the status of my return. I got a reply almost immediately saying my return had been successfully processed and expect payment in 7-10 days.
Mine still shows no change,,, Frustrating,,,
This year is taking a while it seems: I saw something on Reddit where a person said they knew people who had gotten their refunds but I am skeptical of that info. Looking back, in 2017 I filed on the first day and didn’t get paid til Feb 28…. At least it isn’t that everyone got their refund but me and mine has a problem or something. Anyway, as far as I can tell nobody on the Facebook groups I’m in has gotten anything either or had any progress.
Nothing yet here. Will update as soon as status changes.
Just looking back over the messages from last year, The first people started seeing movement around Feb 15th so … In like another week…
Update. Now im reading the special refund thing is affecting Fed not Sate taxes.
There was stuff on the news in Ma that refunds will be delayed due to that special refund everyone got
They are telling people to hold off following MA taxes according to the news. I already filed mine a long time ago and i had read that that refund was nonntaxble so i dont get what the issue is but i guess we shall see.Someone on a Facebook group said one of their friends has received their MA refund for this year…. No movement on mine although I submitted mine on 1/23. Will update if I get more info.
I lookd at past years and other times I got my return in the first day of tax time or earlier I received my refund between feb 9 and feb 11… I looked back and 2 years where I filed on jan 21 I received them on the 11th..
Has anyone seen any movement on their refund? Nothing yet…. I told myself I would just file and check back in a couple weeks. Of course I end up now checking both the Where is my refund and logging into my mass tax connect account every morning to see if there is any movement. As I remember last time, first the refund amount in green goes to zero and then when you go to the screen where you enter ss number and refund amount, a DDD will be displayed soon after.
Mass was just accepted. Now the wait begins for federal & state.
Oh good we both got accepted the first day or so. Let’s compare notes on DDD date and stuff….
My MA updated on Mass Connect to say RECEIVED in green…
I filed state and Fed today and was accepted on both. I owe for Fed but am due a refund for state. Stay in touch…. (I am in MA)

I just filed State Taxes today along with Federal. Federal got accepted right away. I am still waiting on MA state to be accepted. According to the internet, today is opening day in MA. We shall see if it gets accepted..
Just got my DDD for 6/9/22 so it has taken about 3 weeks…
Anyone know how long MA has been taking. From past messages this year it seems like about 2 weeks. I’m at 2 weeks now but there was a 3 day holiday in there. I’m hoping for movement this week. I already got my Federal quite quickly.
I filed yesterday. By today, I already had my refund in green and it says processing.. We will see how long it takes but I am encouraged by the progress so far.
I filed my Mass taxes on april 17. I received a DDD today for April 26….
Wow I flled on the 17th and it is already showing my refund amount in green.

Just checked and still no update as mine turned green a week ago…
I submitted mine jan 15 it got accepted jan 21 and turned green jan 24… since then nothing but I have never got a ddd this early so not surprised. Would be great to get a ddd this week…
According to the phone number refund information updates once a day at 6am….

So the process as I understand it is: a) You submit your return b) they accept it. c) they post your refund amount in green with ( ) around it d) it turns black and your are given a DDD…
Looking back it seems like it usually takes like 7 days from when your refund shows up in green til you get a ddd. I remember last year it took a loooong time for me between acceptance and when they posted my refund amount in green. This year it has gone really fast so far and my refund amount showed up in green like yesterday or two days ago. I am hopeful that this means I will get a DDD in the next 5 days. Am i understanding the process correctly? Anyone? Thanks….
So I was accepted on Jan 21 and the MASS.GOV website updated today to show my refund
amount in negative green…. Things are moving fast…i filed through tax-act on jan 15. It said accepted today but zero movement through the state website. I expect it to be a while as i always is for me….

You need to file it. Not enough money was probably taken out because that job probably calculated as if that was your only job and thus took out less money than it should have.
I filed on the 15th also with Tax act and was accepted today for federal.
It depends if you are a weekly or daily.. Do you know which you are?

DDD date today of 2/11I had movement today. I was accepted on Thursday although I filed Jan 24th. I finally can see activity logging nito Massconnect. I shows my refund amount in green now. When I enter my info into the refund tool thing it says ” You return was received on Jan 24th and is being processed… etc…
I was accepted finally. I submitted on Jan 24th… It usually takes longer for my MA than Federal. I did have an offset last year so maybe that was why…
I submitted my state and federal returns on Jan 24 and have no movement on the state one yet. It usually doesn’t happen for a bit longer though so I am not concerned. My state one is usually a bit after the federal one.
My experience in the past with Massachusetts is it has always taken a while. As far as I can tell, nobody in MA has had their E-file accepted yet. If you filed before the 28th it really doesn’t matter how far before the 28th you filed. It is all the same. The “clock” doesn’t start ticking til the first day of tax season which Mass has indicated will be the same as the Federal day that being Jan 28th…. So… patience is key with taxes. If you get too stressed Murphy’s law will kick in and you will get resequenced or something and it will take even longer…
I usually get my Federal First. Filed via Taxact Jan 24 Fed accepted Jan 25 no activity on State yet….
Mine was green yeterday today I was given a DDD of Feb 9. My refund was offset.. To find your refund DDD log into the site at the bottom of the first page click on where it says Personal Income Tax. It is at the bottom left of the page and is clickable in blue… Once you click that there will be a spot to click at the bottom right of the page which says refund. If you click that it will show DDD from last year (if you had one) and from this year if you have been issued one.
My refund was first show in green when it was done processing and then switched to 0 when I was issued a DDD.Hi. Mine is the same as everyone else. I at first could not get any information but now it shows my refund amount in green ready to go. I remember last year it took longer than i thought It would. Last year I filed earlier (jan 25) and i got paid Feb 25. This year I filed jan 28. It appears I am good to go for everything but issuing me my refund. It seems from reading through this that nobody has been issued a refund yet. I feel from everything that I have read through that I am “on deck” and should get paid as soon as people start getting paid….

DDD date of FEb 28 after filing Jan 25th. Longest wait ever also but finally almost over…
I filed jan 25th and have been waiting with it having processed wtih green negative for weeks. I guess I should call again although I don’t think it will do anything. At least other people are having to wait too.
With MA you can also set up an account and check your progress that way. It provides much more information than just the WMR app.
I filed 2 returns because taxact was having problems at first with my federal. I filed federal on jan 20 but it wasnt accepted for 5 days so i refiled both state and federal with freetaxusa. The result was that one of federal returns was rejected but the state took both returns. So as of Monday my status with MA was when i pulled up my account it showed one return processed and the other processing. Now after calling them Monday it shows 1 return and processed. However no movement since with a ddd. I just have a green negative number and I am waiting for something to happen.
I filed on jan 23 and then again on jan 25 cause first one was wrong. After seeing one processed and the other still processing for 2 weeks i called yesterday. It took a while to get through but the woman was nice and said that they would cancel my first e-file and i would have it in like 2 weeks. Sure enough today I have only one return showing but still green negative number. I am heartened by the movement however and hopefully a ddd tomorrow or the next day for me I entered all the control codes from w2s so hopefully no identity problems. the lady didnt mention anything about identity fraud or anything either.
I was accepted on 23rd and I can see by looking at my account that mine has been processed. I can’t seem to get any more info that that from the thing. I f you go into your account from the non refund section there is more info there. That refund app is useless it seems.
Good news! Your getting your refund and it will most likely Direct Deposit around the 12th of .Feb.
I had the same thing and it said 846 code for a refund issued for Feb 16 so I am going to take it as good news. I am going along with the working theory that my WMR will update Saturday night to give a DDD. The bottom of the transcript stated my refund amount and that it was issued for feb 16. I feel like its really good news…
