so if all these people have been scheduled to be mailed by 4/24 and they can only send out 1 million checks that day ugggh the numbers do not make sense.
so this is the first year I wont be getting a refund but i did get one for the 2018 tax year will they go by that one or will I get a paper check? well that’s just what I am wondering off the top of my head
the turbo tax due date is just an estimate for 21 days from the day you filed, the Irs wmr has not up dated yet for ddd for next week and is the only ddd to rely on, however some times people update without wmr updating, if you have eic wont update until after Feb 15th
updated to Path this morning now just the wait to see what happens on Feb 16th
Welcome to Path, in most cases you are waiting for ddd on or after Saturday the 16th, however last year there were still some that got to this point and got pulled for id verity last year
many people probably qualified for actc this year and thats what put them on the Path
Child tax credit is not part of Path as it just lowers your taxes and is not refundable, however actc is refundable so it is part of Path as well as EIC
Accepted 01/14 have been on 9001 since 1/16, I updated to Path this morning
I am still on 9001 and i was accepted on the 14th as well
yes I have always been weekly as well
over on the facebook page, some people have gotten ddd of 1/28/2019 and others have switched to path message already. I am a weekly so suspect I will wake up saturday to path message
@mizuseirei the thing is alot have already been accepted this year and some without credits apparently have a ddd on transcripts for 1/28/2019 so the tax season is going forward as normal. Not everyone is accepted into a test batch but alot have been.
to those worried about the expected acceptance date on tt , Test batches are randomly withdrawn and TT does not necessarily know if you will be one of the ones drawn so they make an educated guess as to when you will be accepted
https://www.irs.gov/irm/part21/irm_21-004-001r from IRS.gov : 9001 Systemic error/issue Analyze account and follow appropriate IRM. Sounds like a discription of a glitch to me
One thing I know is when I log in even though the message says they cant tell me anything to the left all my info is right there, I do not believe it is anything that would cause your refund to be rejected at all. I filed head of household Iike I do every year, and its just me and my daughter
once you file with turbo tax it will say what the status of your refund is underneath where it says that you will see a short time line, federal filed, accepted date, and last Estimated federal refund date. That date is based on the 21 days from when you filed, and does not take path act into the equation.
that date is based on 21 days from the date you filed, I have it too, but mine wont be earlier than Feb 15 because I do have eitc
January 21, 2019 at 7:47 pm in reply to: Did anyone file w/ TT on 1/17 and still pending ??? #4252252not every one gets in a test batch, though its possible they will do another one tomorrow I think so might be then
I am a weekly usually mine have been on Wednesdays I think, but I have netspend so usually get it on monday or tuesday before
it can take 24 hours once accepted to show up on the website or app, I get same message on both, no bars and yet code 152 and If I have any questions call and mention 9001
topic 152 just means you signed up for direct deposit of your check, alot of us lost the bar, seems to be sometype of glitch on the site
Path Act is on going and still in effect
same no tax topic with it and on the left the amount is back
you only have third party if you paid fees
it just goes straight to your bank or card
many of us early filers are so close, and yet some are getting id verify letters as well, I really don’t see things can change much when we are this close.

• Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund? will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC and ACTC refund filers on February 17. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund? or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so these taxpayers should not contact or call them about refunds before the end of February.
so I think in 11 or 12 days I will be paying off bills and getting things done with my tax refund, Last year I had it by 22nd but had fees taken out, dont have to go through that this year, its getting closer yall
yes but they dont start paying it unless they pay you more than 40 days after the last day you file, like April 17th this year
my ddd was the 23rd but after fees out by tt I got on netspend on the 22nd
so I filed last year early and got a due date of 2/23 with fees coming out first it hit my netspend on the 22nd. This year I am hoping for pretty much the same thing but no fees this time.
As far as Jackson Hewitt or anyone cutting checks early, they are doing advanced loans and not getting their money until after the refund hits which will be sometime after the 15th. Often times they get notified early so will cut the final check before its in their account.
some are giving checks for pre loans even though the main refund is under path act, that is the loan and not the actual refund. My Brother is getting one of those from Jackson Hewitt. Now last year I got a due day of the 23rd and got my funds on the 22nd with fees coming out, this year I had no fees so expect mine on or around the 21st as long as government does not shut down again lol
@alex, an offset is if you owe a government loan, school loan, and/or child support back amount they can garnish your tax refund to cover part or all of it
last year ddd 23rd got netspend on the 22nd
usually state and federal are not linked, unless you have an offset that effects both refunds
by the way my path act message includes Tax Topic 152 because I filed to get my refund direct deposit
152 concerns how you are getting your refund ie Direct Deposit
Path Act has to do if you specifically filed for and qualified for Eic or Actc credits If approved for either you will get the Path Act Message
Sbbtg hours are California time and I think Republics are the same
Mon-Fri: 6am – 6pm
Sat: 7am – 4pm
Sun: 8am – Noon
I filed on the 19th accepted on 22nd and path message due to eic
lol mine now says it was transmitted on 1/29 but accepted on 1/22 and still show 2/12 estimated date, last year I got it on 2/22 so expect it to be about the same this year
not sure I dont have any fees this year usually they process it and take out there portion and send it on to your bank
looks like they are not opens Sundays yet so may have to wait until Monday
got path message this morning knew I would because of eic. just waiting now
make sure you are entering everything correctly and just the dollar part of you refund like 3000 not 3000.00
oh forgot to say I could order transcript today though through mail as I dont have a cc or the other things
so I was wrong got a feeling this year is different as some without actc and eic have already got a dd I think i am weekly and hoping for a dd of 2/21/2018
Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit may experience a refund hold. According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue these refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2018, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.
So they start processing them before and then can issue them on feb 15th and sending them out that date some banks do holds on large deposits exc. so they are saying you may not get it until feb 27th esp. due to the presidents day holiday
thats the whole issue, it is not accurate just a best guess, Last year I was accepted early and got my refund on the 21st I had eic as I do again this year, most of these lists are based on time frames of refunds and guesstimations lol
test batch gets accepted to help test programs and soft ware they are using, no one gets approved though prior to the open date on the 29th
January 22, 2018 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Filers who were part of last tax season's early test batch… #4198773not sure yet I got accepted today so part of test batch
just got accepted I have eic last year got refund on the 22nd
January 21, 2018 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Filers who were part of last tax season's early test batch… #4198647hoping it does not last more than a few days as far as shut down, per what I read they will still process returns but no refunds released until shut down is over.
January 21, 2018 at 4:20 pm in reply to: Filers who were part of last tax season's early test batch… #4198645I was part of the test batch and got my refund on the 22nd of Feb last year as well, I was accepted last year on 1/23/2017 now I did not make test batch this year but turbo tax still estimating me to get it on 2/21 this year
so last year they started releasing the refunds for eic on the 15th of Feb and i got mine on 2/22
I was part of early test last year so I do not think sosome people with ddd 2/20 are showing fees updated on facebook with sbtpg, I have ddd 2/23 so no update yet for me
They dont open for another 30 mins but thier website is still updating and a few have already gotten funds with fees paidsbtg is for turbo tax customers that have fees taken out,
sbtg is for turbo tax customers that have fees taken out,
so according to the Irs Website they will start releasing some on the 15th but may not see a change on wmr untill a few days later.
sbbt has had the amount expected since you were accepted, but will show the amount you will recieve once they have been notified its approved and then it will go into the pending status. This is something new they are doing this year
