Same with my California refund, Jan 25th. SoFi had the same story that it was due to “business account coding” which is a ridiculous copout. After the 3rd customer service rep, I was told SoFi having the issue, and it had been resolved, I was assured that my Fed refund was not going to have any problems being direct deposited into this account. WRONG!!! I Just received an email to the contrary…. It has been returned to the IRS and a check will be issued. This is beyond frustrating……..

Look at prior year transcript and see if there are codes after you received your prior years refund. Also, the random review can be anyone for any reason …just chosen randomly.

Came to say the same @Angela! For me, though, my Chime is only in my name but taxes were under both husband and I. Received an email from Chime asking to submit the form that lists his name and a copy of my ID. Email stated I had 24 hours to submit the documentation or they would return the refund to IRS. Im thinking we’ll update tonight for transcripts w/ DD; unsure on WMR as thats been hit or miss over the years.

Mine went to error department need to wait 10 weeks if they solve it. If not they are sending a letter for more information and wait another 8 weeks if I send what why need that’s crazy.

I called on Monday 2/26 and they told me that my return went to error department and wait 10 weeks for a letter if they can’t solve it. They don’t know what is the error because there is no letter generated if I don’t get it in 10 weeks to called back to see what happened. If a letter is sent before 10 weeks and I sent what they need on fax or mail. I have to wait again 8 weeks. Gosh what a problem does anyone experience the same from tax return 2022 please share how long you wait to get your refund

I was flagged for review. I got married last year and had a baby too, I’ve always filed single and my wife has always filed single. This year we filed married for first time and added our baby. Also, in 2022 I had reported business income on a schedule C, but this year did not because I didn’t operate the business at all in 2023.

Have you seen any update on transcripts on WMR since returning the forms to IRS?

I got letter 12c on 2/17, faxed the next day, and I am still waiting on an update/change. WRM still says the same thing, and transcripts still sat N/A or “no return filed”. Any info you have would be much appreciated.

No dependants or eitc on my PA return but when i called it told.me 12-16 weeks.

NJ said don’t check the return until 4 weeks after it has been accepted so I’m jist curious thae actual timing for PA state returns?

Today I called and was told that whoever told me that my letter was sent 2/14 was wrong.
Received 570 on 2/8 and then 971 on 2/15.
Agent told me on 2/20, a letter was sent on 2/14 dated 3/4. Called this morning 2/29 as I have not received anything and was told that the notices are postdated but the agent looked again and said no, my letter is actually being mailed on 3/4.

Went through online verification process and was notified that verification is complete and it could take up to 9 weeks to finish processing my return.

Both my husband and I filed on 2/9 and both were accepted that night but I got my DDD of 3/4 but no movements on his WMR and no transcripts showing except the bottom two that are blank. He already received state. No clue what’s going on this year.

Mine is the same thing. I went from PATH message to still processing refund date will be provided when one becomes available. I called them a couple days ago before I got this message and they said my return was in the errors resolution department. Can’t tell me why and I may get a letter asking for more info or I may not. Could take up to ten weeks.

In all this technology it cannot take this long or be this difficult to send payments. It’s never difficult for them to receive payment.

@Brandon you are well past the 21 day mark so contact the IRS and have them give you the reason for the delay. if the agent you are on the phone with is giving you canned generic answers then hang up and call back and speak with another agent. some are just lazy and won’t bother to look it up or they will place you on hold and come back saying they dont know anything when in reality they didnt bother looking it up for you.

My transcripts all say N/A no 2023 on any of them except the wage and income which has basically nothing on it!! My Id.me online account shows no notices or letters. Not sure where to look for id verification but as far as I can tell it’s not showing anything like that anywhere on my online account!

UPDATE; today was the id verify appointment. I verified in the office. She stated my return was red flagged due to this being first return filed in a few years (I hadn’t worked since 2020 so didn’t file taxes) also I claimed my two children and self employment. She says it’s now being processed and could take up to 180 days. Never received any letters I just made this appointment on my own. Hopefully it won’t take the full 180 days
