I got approved on 1/19 and still today 1/27 I’m stuck at 1 bar I’m growing impatient.

Am I the only one that is super frustrated that people who filed after me have DDD? No movement on WMR, can’t order transcripts, and SBBT says 2/1, but that’s 21 days after I filed. I filed on 1/7, was accepted on 1/11. Last year I never had movement, and got my refund on Thursday, so I’m still hopeful, just getting slightly concerned.

Okay. Last year I filed and ended up in the dead cycle that shuffled me out and back in again.

Does anyone know if they have that again this year? I filed and was accepted on 1/21. I figure around 2/5 for DD but not if they do the dead cycle shuffle again.

I was accepted on the 14th and I don’t have a DDD either. Looking back I normally don’t see approval until the weekend.

@Chelz It does. A few years I got sick of people getting their DD dates before me when I early filed. So the two years I file on the date the IRS opens and now I get mine within the 10days and first batch. Between here and the facebook igotmyrefund page seems to be the same this year. Next year wait until the first day of filing and I bet you get it quicker. Just my own theory : )

Well I checked my dates for last year and I got my state on the 26th of Jan last year and I got it on the same Monday this year sept it was the 25th. And I got my federal on the 30th last year which was a Friday so hoping I’ll get it on the same day again, but the 29th this year. Crossing my fingers. And oh no update for wmr for me either still on one bar and was accepted on the 19th

@Cindell Yes you can only order through the mail this year due to the IRS trying to cut down on fraud, so we can’t check online anymore. You can only order them when you are done processing. I ordered mine, because we are buying a house so I had to for the last few years of one, and it wouldn’t let me until yesterday and today I am now with 2 bars and a DD date.

I filed 1/21 @ 2:00 pm (Federal and State) with TaxHawk (sister company to FreeTaxUSA).

Accepted: 1/21 Federal, and 1/22 State (Michigan)

I am a Non-Early Filer this year.

I woke up this morning, feeling hopeful, (though I knew better…..(I thought that I would expect my earliest update……at the earliest to be 2/1) and found a DDD of 1/29.

It seems that they are processing returns in random, or by how they choose to grab them.

Filed 1/20 through TT accepted less than an hour later. Still at 1 bar on WMR no DDD. Called IRS they say there’s no problems with my return, and TT says that everything looks good, that there are NO hold ups.

@Nmsee You know I had that theory because 3/4 years ago I got sick of watching everyone who filed after me getting their funds and I was waiting by filing early. The last few years I filed between 9-11am on the date it opens and it had made my refund always hit 10 days. I know my own paranoia probably but it had worked for me.

I think it’s just being early filers.. Filed early last year and didn’t get money until everyone else was paid out.. At least it seems that way.. Since the filings are being done by computers and by human people..

Is it possible for the early tester batches to be the first through the human progress.. Maybe they are looked over by people.. Then computers.. Then the people recheck making sure computer is functioning properly.. Sounds insane, but would explain the length of time early filers have to wait..

Fortunately or unfortunately we didn’t get to file early this year..

I haven’t had the fees taken out of my refund for the past 3 years and it always moves at the same speed if I did or didn’t. So I don’t think that has anything to do with it. I am really thinking it is the processing centers and if you are on the weekly/daily update. Someone else posted it over here:

Well.. Stuck one bar still this morning. Pretty upset about it. My Fiancee and I both filed the same day but both of us don’t have DDDs yet.. I don’t see how people that filed after us have DDDs and we still don’t?

The fee/pay up front theory isn’t bad, but I don’t think it’s correct. I paid up front through Tax Act as I always do, and no DDD yet for me. I filed on 1/15 and was accepted the same day. Like others have said though. I have received my refund before and WMR has still been at 1 bar.

@cliff sbbt is the Santa Barbara Bank a trust.. If you paid to file and chose for the money to be deducted from your refund.. It would be funneled through this bank and then sent to your account.. You can check if they have received your money if so it only takes a day or so to get to you..

I think a large part of it comes out of where you were processed out of. I am processed out of the UT center and they seem to move quick. I recall the last two years people were all comparing their codes on their transcript and a majority were out of the same ones. But that is just my guess
