I actually looked up my SS record for 2018 and realized my issue! My information does not match and I think it’s because when I entered the EIN for one W2 from the employer I had in 2017, and entered the new W2 from my New employer… they imported old information. So, I am going to have to go back and do a amended return.

Well they’re holding my post but… He government is going to shut down the IRS if they don’t get the presidents tax returns by 4/23! I think I may see if I qualify for a TA but I don’t have a hardship like some people that have posted. Maybe some of you need to get a TA as well especially if you have been waiting longer than me.

3/9 bars disappeared w/ still processing msg everything still on the left and TT152 at the bottom…
No change or update since.Haven’t received a letter but called and was told
On 3/22 a letter went out that I was under a 60 review… however still no change on the WMR. I was told and read that with the government shut down a lot of W2’s were not upload and has caused a back log. Idk what to think anymore… never had this experience!F/A 2/17
3/9 bars disappeared w/ still processing msg TT152
Called on 3/18 and was told I was under a 45 day review. I called on 4/3 and was told I was under a 60 day review since 3/22. As of today I’m still processing with TT 152…. This is ridiculous!!Well I just called the IRS to update my address because I just relocated. The lady was very nice. She said that I have a NOW 60 day review letter that was sent on the 22nd of March. She said that unfortunately this tax year has been hard for filers but when the government shut down for those 30 days it didn’t give the employers and other agency to submit the information they would usually submit prior to the tax year opening. So, it has caused them to place holds on refunds to get certain information verified. But she said within that time of you see you are going to face a hardship don’t wait until you have the hardship call the TA office and get a case to get a resolution to avoide the hardship. But the most humbling part to me was when she apologized for me having to go through waiting from 2/17 until this hold is released! I say humbling because she didn’t have to apologize for anything especially something that’s not her fault and she was very sincere! But she said that since it’s direct deposited I don’t have to update the address right now but just know that I can have the refund anytime between next week up too 60 days. So, I guess like most people I went from a 45 day review starting on 3/25 to a 60 day…. and I feel alittle more hopeful knowing that I will have a DDD sooner than later. But I just want to share that because we knew it was possibly due to the shut down but she explain the process itself from the employer side to the filers side. Just keep your heads up and if you have too call and get a TA, and get your situation back on track!

Sooo my co workers husband is an accountant. Apparently if we filed before the last week of Feb – first part of March our returns got stuck in the system due to a glitch! He has about 15 people whom filed between late January and Feb 17/18… that haven’t received refunds due to that issue. He also stated that there are other Tax preparers experiencing this same issue with what they considered “early filers”. Most whom filed that filed the last week of February – on, have experienced No issue outside of normal things but not like us going through 45 – 60 day reviews. Which from what i am told is not necessarily the case that a lot of our returns are being rerouted to other departments to be viewed and released if nothing is wrong and that’s where the issue is. Because these other departments also handle other things and are not necessarily primarily tax return processors. Hence why when you call the TA they push it through because the information they ask you to send is only to cover them in the event your return is later said to be incorrect… I don’t know if this is on point correct but I do know this person is an accountant that prepare tax returns and has for over 10 years. On the left side..: I called 3/18 and was told I had a 45 day review starting 3/25. I haven’t updated to anything since 3/9… no other codes or letters. Just still waiting. This is crazy!No update for me… same message since 3/9

Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.Well I had to do an ID verification back in 2016 and when I switched back to it’s being process I got a DDD like two weeks after. But Also last year I got my DDD on my card and the WMR still was showing. Still being process. So, I’m thinking if you don’t get a DDD tomorrow then you should have one by next week. But also keep checking your bank because it will DD before the WMR update sometimes. I pray it work out for you!!
Does the WMR say it’s been received and is processing or still processing?

You are absolutely right! I strongly dislike to see so many people going through issues and all they need is their refund to get back on track! And we have a right to want what we worked for because truth be told, if you owe the IRS they’re going to get their money however they want! So, why hold ours!

I filed 2/17 and accepted the same day within minutes but I’m still waiting. So, next year I will wait until March!
I’m still on the processing msg since 3/9… F/A 2/17… only TT152. I was told on 3/18 that my 45 day review would start on 3/25. I decided not to call anymore and try to wait it out… but this is ridiculous. Tax deadline is 4/15 which means the system will get flooded with late filers… only God knows where that will leave us in the system being that we have been waiting all this time. Hopefully they will push out our refunds within the next week or two!
Well according to my call from 3/18 my review was to start today. I will not call again because I believe it pushes you further beyond each time they go into your account. Most people whom was told they had a 45 day review got a DDD within a week or two. Which seems to me to be two weeks after you hit 30 days… IDK for sure but I’ve read a lot of responses where they were told 45 days and then the week of that review starting or a week after they had a DDD. My status still has, still processing msg – no bars – refund date will be provided when available w/ TT 152. I’ve been in that msg since 3/9. I figure either way they’ll have to send my refund.. I just have to be patient. But they are extremely behind and it’s due to the Government shutdown that started in Dec. I’m beyond frustrated but there’s nothing I can do but wait. They’re on their own time and in all fairness some people have been waiting longer than I have! Apparently the DDD will not start up again until April.. I pray we all get some good news!

Well no update for me today…. But I was told my review will start on 3/25 and to continue checking the WMR. I have the same still processing msg refund date will be provided when available., all of my information is still on the left side and the TT 152 under the msg. At this point it will be April for a DDD since the 27th of this month is the last run for March I believe. I haven’t received any letters or anything but before the lady placed me on hold to review in more detail she asked if I was aware of the additional two week extension.

I usually don’t update until Saturday’s, so I was expecting to see a change until then. I’m just praying that it update this Saturday but who knows. Everybody has the same message that filed around my time and most updated the same day as I did. Although some received refunds directly no issues it’s seems most people are getting stuck in the same situation as me. So, I’m thinking they have to extremely behind! I haven’t received any letters or anything. I’m grateful to have a job because otherwise it would be AWFUL!

It’s sad but more and more I see that, they’re honestly making this stuff up! 2/18 was a federal holiday. When I submitted my return on 2/17, I was told I probably wouldn’t get accepted until 2/19 due to the federal holiday. But I was accepted within 30 minutes on 2/17. When I called this morning and spoke to the lady at the irs and explained my file and acceptance date, before she even looked into my account she said, Are you aware of the two week extension that we have. And after telling me about the 45 day review to start on the 25th, she said to continue checking the WMR. I just figure there’s nothing I can do at this point but wait because unfortunately, our refunds are in their hands! But never in all the years of filing have I had anything like this and I’ve even went through an audit before. But my audit didn’t even take 45 days.
Don’t stress too hard because you are 9 months pregnant. I can say that I’ve dealt with a TA in the past and they really do try to help get things done as fast as possible. So stay hopefully 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I have to agree with you!! In reading the comments it seems we were all given a 45 day review that start a week after the day we call! It’s just a lot of crap! I honestly feel there’s no way they have the people in place to review ALL these returns in 45 or 60 days! But they tell us whatever to get us off the phone….

I filed and was accepted on 2/17. On 3/9 I got updated to still processing with no bars and TT152, and nothing else since. I called this morning – the lady was nice but she said before looking at my information, was I aware of the two week extension? I told her I wasn’t aware and then she placed me on hold and came back and said I have a 45 day review starting on 3/25. She said continue to check the WMR for updates. They are not requesting anything from me and no letters were mailed or will be mailed.
Do you think It will take a complete 45 days for a DDD?

Brian Do you think that it takes 45 days? I mean it took two weeks from the time I Filed and was accepted to get the still processing update. This Saturday would be two weeks from that date… But she said my review starts on 3/25/19; which is strange because I am like, what has been going on within all of this time of me filing!

Thank you! I pray it does come sooner. But prior to my account she did ask me if I was aware of the two week extension. In which I was not aware of them having a two week extension on refunds. So, maybe they are saying a 45 day review but it is truly just the two week extension from them being behind, because they are not requesting anything from me or anything. Lol, Guess I will find out one day.

Yeah, I agree it’s best to know… But it still suck. She said that I can still continue to check for updates on WMR though. So, I don’t know… I am hoping that I still get an update this week though.
Is it possible to get a DDD before that time frame is over?

I called the IRS this morning and was told that I was selected for review. She stated that my review will start on 3/25/19 and to allow 45 days.

3/9 – Updated with bars missing, still processing message and TT152 but no update since.So I guess I am waiting until May… But I pray not.
I never received a letter or anything and she didn’t state that I would. Just too allow the 45 days from 3/25/19. I have seen where some did have this told to them but received a DDD not too long after. So, that is that. She was very nice though.
I am hoping the same!! I have been reading the comments awhile before joining and It was a great feeling to see the outstanding support that I’ve seen on this forum!
I am sorry to hear about your health… I know how challenging it can be! I pray that everyone get their refund soon! Unfortunately, this is by far the worse tax season ever!!
I have been waiting and I thought I would have updated yesterday but that didn’t happen. I just hate to wait for another update and be disappointed, and was thinking atleast if they say there’s a hold then I know not to check. But who knows because they can say there’s a hold and it be nothing; however, me calling can cause me to get placed on a hold of I wasn’t. Lol, it’s crazy! Got to love the IRS.

Thank you for your help! I don’t want to push anybody buttons because they can make me wait longer if they feel I’m being pushy. I was just thinking since it just update on 3/9 that maybe they didn’t start processing it until that week. In the past I would update and get approve within 2 weeks. I’ve read and heard that a lot of people who filed the same date as me actually had the same update within the same week as I did. I also took in consideration that 2/18 was a holiday, with realizing that although it’s been accepted and received they still have to load it for processing. But idk…. what to think at this point. I do appreciate the advice though.
@Ray Actually just read your response to another person which is identical to mine. I appreciate your advice. I never experienced this before but at the same time not seeing any other codes but the 152 is a relief.

My F/A date was 2/17 and I was on one bar with TT152 until 3/9, and then I went to still ptocessing message no bars with TT152. I haven’t received any letters or anything but still haven’t updated since. Is this good or bad? Should I call the IRS? I appreciate any advice at this point.
