Hey guys fellow barless crew here, filed on the 7th accepted the 11th bars went away on 1/28.

Just got off the phone with the IRS, the lady on the phone was very helpful and said that the latest information they have on the barless thing is that it doesn’t really mean a thing unless you get a reference code or error message. Also they don’t start counting until the 19th so don’t panic, your return should still take 21 days from the 19th

TL;DR: UNLESS YOU HAVE AN REFERENCE NUMBER OR ERROR CODE EVERYTHING IS FINE.

I filed on January 9th, 2016 and was accepted on 1/13/2016,
I had one bar up until Saturday 1/30/2016, when the second bar had appeared with a deposit date of Feb. 3rd, 2016.

P.s. Ordering a transcript of your taxes is a waste of money! It does not help you get your return any faster. What it does for you is let you know that the Irs has accepted and processed your return and is completed. It is simply that and only that. (Think about it! when the Irs is done processing the entire return, then and only then will you get the transcript). The money or return is then released.

When they told me mines had a delay processed hold and that it could be (2) more weeks for me to get back in que, I sighed, but then I was relieved it wasn’t serious or flagged for months…..I just rearranged my plans for the money for another (2) weeks, what else can we do…we are NOT in control, IRS plays by their on rules….lol.

I don’t think I will ever file early again tho….no advantage, actually its a disadvantage to do so…not recommended.

1/27 filed and accepted Hr block. 1 bar, nothing else.. State was issued 2/1 Oklahoma.. I did have to to go speak with them,( hr block) because state said it DD my refund in another account, come to find out, my fees were taken out which ever refund I receive first, in this case will be state..I ask if anyone has received a refund yet?.. She said not anyone who came in there since 1/20.. Not the news I wanted, she said weekends do not count for ur 21 days..

She gave you bad info. I ordere my account AND return transcript on 1/29. The IRS customer service reps will all tell you different things, hard to say what’s accurate.

Filed and was accepted 1/23. One bar can only order acct transcript. Called the IRS a few minutes ago and fibbed a little about my tax topic so they’d take a peek. He stated that nothing was wrong. However, I was shown on HR Block website that I was accepted on the 23rd but the man at the IRS stated that I was accepted and began processing on the 26th. You guys may want to check that out as well. Hoping for an update soon.

hey, just checked again and it came back now to saying one bar with tax topic 152. *sighs of relief* I was a little nervous. And thank you again for keeping some of us, such as myself in the loop. All I honestly want to know is if I were being audited/delayed of some sort. Could care less when I receive it, as long as I am approved etc etc I am fine. My spirit is a little at ease now. 1/27 Get basic offset info from IRS (no amount, no DDD). Also can’t order A my transcripts.

1/30 Before WMR update, I’m able to get specific IRS offset info (dollar amount and 2/3 DDD thru IRS and Offfset hotline). Bars disappear with “still processing message”.

1/30 6am-ish WMR updates with 2nd bar DDD of 2/3.

2/2 SBTPG updates after 7am (I’m Central) with ‘we have your funds’ message & amount!

I have Bank of A, so should see it there overnight or next.

I hope this answers some questions regarding no DDD for 1/21 accelted date. I called and spoke to IRS rep about refund and no progress on,WMR. I was told by 2 reps that I was resequenced. Meaning i will get my return 1 week after 21 day mark. No error codes and nothing is wrong with return. He stated it is common, most people just dont call to find out. He compared it to a washing machine cycle and the return was put back through. A glitch in their system.

Filed on 01/23; was able to order return transcripts yesterday (02/01) but still only at one bar… Being that I was able to order my return transcript, does that mean that my refund has been processed? I’m leaving the country tomorrow and would love to either wake up to a glorious bank deposit, or at least one on the 5th when I get to my destination.

No movement on WMR, (still one bar) and still not able to order transcripts. Last year I filed on the 29th and got my refund on the 6th of Feb. This year’s wait is brutal!

OK so I Just got off the phone with IRS talked to a really nice lady she said everything was fine and I should get it within the 21 days. She didn’t see anything wrong just that some returns are pulled randomly she also said I filed 1/24 bUT it was not accepted until the 26th so I didn’t need to worry. Most returns are processed in 21 days and if they needed anything I would have an error code or get a letter on the mail which I do not. So let’s all just hang in there and if I hear anything else I will let yall know.

People who filed between 1/19 and 1/24 should get a DD on 2/5. Last year I didn’t get my second bar until two days before my DD. I would be willing to bet most of us will get a DDD tomorrow morning.

I was also accepted 1/19, still nothing just accepted. I called the IRS today and they can give NO info until the 21 days have passed. The company I used to file said that it is 21 business days, not 21 calendar days. This is taking FOREVER!

So I filled on 1/21 and got accepted on 1/21 had one bar till yesterday with the TT 151 but the weird thing is I can order my refund and account transcripts. There is no offsets. Is there anybody on this bout with me ?

Yes, that is correct. Tomorrow morning if you don’t have an update, please call them immediately…they will tell you if they see anything holding it up or if a letter is on its way….if not, then it is just a simple delay…like mines!

I called this morning for clarification for my FASFA for my student aid, and snuck in questions regarding my return. As far as the lady could hint to me, it had be recv. it had been approved.

Agreed. The schedules give a baseline, but they also only give Friday deposit dates. I think instead of on 2/5 or on 2/12, it should say “by” 2/5 or “by” 2/12. Still hoping for the 2/5 boat, but if that one sails, could be the beginning of next week as well. Last year’s schedule told me I’d get mine on the 13th, and it was scheduled for the 6th.

I really hope that’s true about the transcripts. I had a feeling they might be wonky this year due to mail only. I can imagine an online transcript would be available before a hard copy would be available for them to print and mail….hopefully. :D

First off, being irritated is not “whining”, being irritated is being frustrated that there has been no updates, or communication, when it has taken longer this year to get your money that you are OWED back. That money is not theirs that they are “Giving” to me, it is my money that was over-paid and owed back to me. They have been doing this since 1862. Ya sure, if I made a ton of money and didn’t get a return because of how much I made then that would be a different story. But I don’t make a ton of money, I have children to support, and they don’t have any issues taking the money from my paychecks every single month.
Second, IF I DO NOT get an update tonight for a DDD of 2/5, then the next date I can get a deposit would be 2/10 at the EARLIEST which would be PAST my 21 day period.

So finally, what I was saying was that it has never taken this long, that it is frustrating that there has been no updates or correspondence, that when you call them they WONT answer you (not can’t, WONT), and hopefully I will get a DDD for 2/5 tomorrow or I will then be past my 21 days.
This site is for people to get on to and voice opinions, share their frustrations, emotions, concerns, etc. about tax time with others, try to figure out what is going on with their refund, get advice from others that have knowledge or even just theories, and share current and past experiences in dealing with things. THAT IS WHAT THIS FORUM IS FOR.. I am sick of people getting on here and talking sh**, I have been on this site the past 3 years and it seems like more than ever, people are just being rude to others.

SO, Even if somebody wants to get on here and “whine” about not having their refund yet, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THAT WITHOUT CRITICISM!

I firmly believe that because of fraud and whatever the IRS is doing to prevent it is the cause of the delay here. It is even stated by the IRS here.

This is based on facts, and not opinions.

I file on opening day ever year, and have always gotten my return back in less than 10 days. IT was 8 days last year. So based upon this, if the IRS had a 1 week delay (which would make sense) then my return this year would be refunded this week. Which almost has to happen, because me, among millions of other people who filed on 1/19 and before will be hitting 21 days next week and I can only imagine that receiving hundreds of thousands of calls per day from people asking about the status of their returns (and now they have to, or in their words “can” look into it) will cause a ton of added stress and work for them.

So to put it lightly.. If I were the IRS, I would be trying to make damn sure all the people who were accepted on 1/19 and earlier were processed by 2/5/2016.

All in all, it sucks that there is a delay, it has me worried, i am stressing, annoyed and pissed… But the week long delay does add up. Hope this helps calm some nerves, it has made me feel a lil better.

AUDITS- For the people who are worried it’s taking so long because gheir being audited, DONT WORRY!!! LOL

Audits are done over the summer months. My tax guy worked for the IRS for 37 years and is rock solid positive about that. Human eyes don’t look at e-filed returns unless their being reviewed for red flags or possible identity theft.

Don’t start worrying until the 21 days is up. It really sucks because there’s nothing you can do until then. I’m in the same boat…..

Hey y’all! Just wanted to share my thought with y’all! So, we cannot go by the tax refund schedules that they have on different websites. Here’s the reason why:
The earliest that those schedules have that people will get their refund is 2/05/16.
People have received their refunds on 1/29/16 and also have a DDD of 2/03/16, which is tomorrow. So we for sure will be seeing people have a DDD for Friday, 2/05/16 and they will have that DDD tomorrow morning.
By no means do I think that I know it all but everyone can figure it out! Those schedules aren’t accurate, as it tells you before looking at them and I’m glad that they are out there. For my curiosity as well as others.

Another thing that I’ve been reading up on is that people that have gotten a DDD weren’t able to view their transcripts until recently (this morning and last night).. Some were able to and some weren’t.
I can’t wait until I have a DDD and then I’m just gonna sleep until that day, lol. So, everyone, please keep us all updated tomorrow morning. Maybe we will have a DDD in the morning for Friday!

So for any weeklies… I tried to order last years (2014) account transcripts to see if I am truly a weekly and it came in the mail yesterday and it said I would need to call the irs verification process and once I verify info then they will mail it… anyone else have to do that? A little confused. I got my refund last year on a Wednesday but it wasn’t until April because of the id theft so I’m not sure if that was purposefully or did it just happen to fall on a Wednesday because I had to hound and hound them to give me my money.. any opinions appreciated

I just got off of the phone with the IRS. My return was accepted 19 days ago. They told me that even if it was accepted prior to the 19th, the 21 days begin on the 19th. She said that everyone this year should expect to get their refunds closer to the 21 day point than in years past. She also told me that return transcripts are not available until 2 to 3 weeks after a return has been completely processed. Those of you that have been able to order them may find that they are blank when they arrive.

So my return was rejected at midnight today from my bank account, so I called the IRS this morning. They wouldn’t look into my account, but he did say that their “standard procedure” for this year is to allow 3 weeks from date of rejection to see a mailing date. Yuck. Add two weeks to that just for them to mail it, then however long it takes to get to you. Ouch.

I pray it’ll be a shorter wait but I hope that info helped someone!

It looks like a lot of us 1/14 filers have lost out bars last night without being able to order return transcripts. I was flagged for review in the 2013 tax year and it was a horrible process. Finally received my return in May of 2014. I will say that I NEVER lost my bars that year though. Just stayed on one bar even after I received my 4464c letter. Last year I waited until 2/3 to file and I breezed right through. Had my deposit by 2/15. I will never make the mistake of early filing again.

Just now tried to pull up my transcripts for the first time today and it is telling me that a technical error has occurred?? Won’t event let me order account transcript. Is anyone else having this happen?

I had my Turbo Tax fees deducted from my refund. SBTPG received and processed my feed today 2/2/16. I have called my bank and they do not have record of any pending deposits.
Higher One Acct. updates every evening so hopefully Ill be seeing something today or tomorrow.

I just talk to republic bank they said they have my loan information that it was approved which I already knew but they said in order for me to get information on my refund I had to contact liberty tax because they don’t have any access to that.. that’s weird because it goes through them how the hell do they not know? why I cant login
