Week 11 for me too. No letter, no nothing from the stupid IRS
Well I’ve been waiting over a month now and I expect it to be longer.. 2 weeks would be amazing. Good luck!
I amended with a TA because I filed off my paystub and the amounts were different than my W2. Finally got a TA in March and she submitted my new return around 3/16. I still have not even seen that its shown up in the IRS system when I check the “Wheres my amended return”. I did call them last week and the guy I spoke with said he saw they received it so who knows. My TA called me two weeks ago and said the IRS is supposedly slammed and not to expect anything till May. This whole process has been so ridiculous, who knows if I’ll ever get it. I really don’t think the TA’s help expedite anything. Hopefully you’ll have better luck!
@MILeBr yes tell me about it. Me and my ex owed some back taxes a few years ago and I swear they sent us some kind of correspondence about it WEEKLY. I filed my taxes in January and have been in review since and still have not received ONE letter from the IRS. Nothing even telling me why they can’t process it. Its maddening.

@latrice, weird. I think mine was submitted the week before that. When I called the IRS they said they could see in the system that they got it. So why the heck isn’t it showing up.
@Latrice, when was the amended return filed? I don’t know why mine still isn’t showing. Ugh..

@Latrice is still says they haven’t received it. Its been over a month. Does yours say they got it?

Happy to see that some of you having problems are finally getting your refunds. It will be a miracle if I ever get mine!
@Latrice, no I am in Washington State. When I talked to her she basically told me the IRS is busy and she has no news for me and our next contact would be in May. Shrug…
@latrice no I have not. Last time I spoke with her, she told me that she would call me on 5/2. Meh
@sweetpea that is awesome! Did you get a DDD?
@bernadette actually those that qualify for EIC and CTC are getting back significantly more than they paid in, which is why the heavy scrutiny I think. They want to make sure no one is filing fraudulent returns. Most of us here are honest but there are a few eggs in the past that have spoiled it for the rest of us and that is one of the reasons this year is such a mess.
@BreYana I did get a TA. Doesn’t seem to be expediting anything.
I would just like a sign that something is moving! Since january all I have seen on WMR is “your return is still being processed”. OMG this is like a bad dream!
My TA submitted my amended return almost a month ago and when I check the “wheres my amended return”, it still says they have not gotten it. But when I have called the IRS they show that they have received it. WTF
@Latrice I did speak with a guy at the IRS earlier this week and he said things should start moving for people as things slow down at the IRS in the next week or so. So maybe (hopefully) your TA is right.
@Latrice I am in Washington State. I’m just feeling like this is never going to end!
@Lea what was the hold up with yours? Did you have to file an amended return?

Just a heads up here for anyone contacting an advocate. Do not expect any miracles. I was assigned one and just seeing on here others who have gotten one, does not seem to speed up the process.
@sweetpea, I finally did hear back from my TA last week. She basically told me I needed to stop calling her (i had left 3 messages) because she didn’t have an answers for me and she would contact me when she had an answer. Alrighty then!
@Latrice according to someone I spoke with a while back, my return had been processed – but the funds weren’t being released because the discrepancy. I called that number too just a bit ago and the guy I talked to at first tells me that he can’t give me any info until its been 16 week since I filed the amended return. I was like “UGH!” Then I explained to him that this wasn’t a “regular” amended return and that it was supposed to be expedited thru my TA. He agreed to look at my account finally but all he could tell me was that they received the amended return and I need to to wait for my TA to give me info about it. He said things should start moving quicker for people in a week or so when things slow down for the IRS. I’ll believe it when I see it!
@jenny thanks. I will call that number. Everyone I have talked to so far has been an a–hole.
@jenny just curious if you go on the IRS website and check the “wheres my amended return” does it tell you that they received it? Or what does it say exactly. I checked it this morning and said they have not received my amended return.
@jenny well it gives me a little hope to hear yours is moving along. I am just hoping for the best but still expecting the worst.
@jenny wow they got that processed fast. When I spoke with my TA last week, she told me she was told my the IRS that whatever “unit” the amended returns go to, is seriously backed up and she would contact me again 5/2 and see where things are at. UGH
@jenny I can’t remember if you said why you amended. I filed an amendment because I filed off a paystub. I still haven’t heard an update from my TA. She submitted on the 16th I believe.
