Does anyone know how long it takes to get a DDD after a audit case has been assigned? It says within 30days , but wanted to see if anyone else has any experience dealing with an audit case..
Wondering if the refund will come earlier than 30days or not.. thanks

@bennie boa won’t release until the morning of I think… Traditional banks usually hold until the DDD… Early morning around 7am I’m guessing

No… State and Federal are 2 different entities
My fiancee got audited last year for her State taxes but she got her Federal on time like normally… So I know from experience that your Federal won’t be automatically audited just bcuz your state is auditing you… Hope this helps 🙏

@julieisking no i haven’t, I figured they’ll just give me a generic answer like they do everybody.. just like Andrea said, they’ll tell you the same thing that your status says… I need to know if I’m actually being audited or not, and why… I don’t want a generic scripted answer lol , I’ve worked for call centers so I know the deal lol

Went from processing to further review, to audit message, then to done processing 30day correspondence letter, now back to Audit message saying they’re sending me a letter.. haven’t received anything yet in the mail or on my online account messages…

Calling the IRS about your refund is not going to do anything but get you a generic answer like they do everybody lol I don’t see why people constantly call like that’s going to magically get you a DDD lol.. all they’re going to do is give u the run around.. unless I see a msg stating for me to call or unless I get a online letter or a letter in the mailbox, I am not going to call… Period

I got a message last night saying they sent me a audit letter that will come in 15 days but I don’t have anything in my online account.. then it switched to 30 day correspondence letter but I still don’t have any notices on my online account..
So I’m trying to figure out if this further review audit stuff is really a glitch or not..
