          This is the process:

IRS Releases Refunds –>US Treasury Releases in Batches–> Your Bank & Tax Preparers Bank (if you had fees)

It’s that middleman that is slowing things down.

I actually think it is the US Treasury that is behind in batching out the refunds since places like chime/varo/netspend and credit unions etc do not hold funds. I think that is why there seems to be a bunch at a time then nothing then a bunch at a time then nothing all through the days before and on the deposit dates. They must be backlogged

Processing code 20200805. No update today transcript today. Code 570 two weeks now. No letter send out.

@Tim213 transcripts update all day. I usually update around 1-2pm but never wake up to updates so you might check again after noon and maybe this evening because there are Sooooo many weeklies they have to do them in batches starting overnight and into friday all day.

@leslie and leslie are not the same… I am registerd. Also… to clear things up Yes you can figure out when you will have your DDD by when transcripts become available, it is a system process and not random and the IRS is not “doing whatever they want” Read the manual, learn how it works and watch when cycles update and unless you are pullef ro some reason then you process in a cycle batch in a very orderly way. Today 05 pathers who didn’t update last week because path lifted after they had the weekly run were finished processed today. In a few hours you will see them start dropping with 846 codes on transcripts and into tomorrow, then Saturday those same people will wake up with DDD’s for 2/27 because that is the batch they are in. Path is not new. This year is exactly the same in the exact same pattern as every other year. The ONLY difference is that Path fell off at the end of a week and weeklies have to wait several extra days to finish processing. I just cannot believe the amount of complete fluff that is posted on here. People get impatient and cannot be bothered to actually educate themselves on the answers and so it must be the IRS is just doing whatever they want because that certainly makes more sense. Seriously, I try to help on here and it’s exhausting answering the same questions that scrolling for 2 minutes would solve.

That was nice of her. YOu will definitely update by the 23rd and have a deposit around the 27th …. that is actually what the IRS has posted on the website to begin with since 05’s process thursday and thursday night/friday morning you see a ddd on wmr then your date will be the following wednesday. They posted that timeframe because although most PATH people who are dailies would get updates immediately after the hold releases the weeklies only process one day a week and that day had just passed when the hold released so we have to wait a few extra days until our regularly scheduled update day for the 846 refund issued code to post and our refunds released. If you saw other 05 cycles posting it is because there is also a daily 05 cycle that doesn’t have to wait like the 05 weeklies. The way you know which one you are is because you see when your info posts on wmr or on transcripts. If its only on thursday night and friday and wmr on saturday then you are a weekly. Hope that helps!

READ PAGE 13 to see how PATH Returns are processed. There is a diagram and the entire document is very informative https://www.gao.gov/assets/690/689702.pdf

Tennessee Gal : in the IRS handbook it actually states that the c-freeze holding refunds is called FEB15 RFND FRZ and the computer is set to release them automatically starting on February the 15th so after that people will begin seeing updates. People will start seeing transcripts update on the 16th with refund release codes and then WMR the next business day it updates after that which may be Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. So the Feb 15th date is actually spelled out in the manual even though they state mid-feb in a lot of the literature they post.

HBH, I have the same 00-00-0000 date next to my cycle although mine is 20180405. I do have “as of” dates at the top of my account and return transcripts but no processing date which is something I haven’t experienced before, usually when I can view my transcripts they have been done.

I have the 570 code as well but in my case i have a “premium tax credit” rather than an offset because I overpaid for insurance rather than underpaid or went without. So instead of an 896 i have an extra 766 “credit to your account” So in my case although I’m sure that it’s the same healthcare debacle screwing things up, I’m apparently waiting on money to be credited instead of removed…. UGH

my situation is a little different. I don’t have 896, i have a credit for health insurance because I paid more than i should have apparently…. but I too have 570 because I imagine the credit works the same way the offset would if money is going to or coming from the same place. UGH

@Nikita That isn’t an audit code, it is a hold and it appears many people who have healthcare penalties have them this year. I have a healthcare credit and also the error on the return was not my fault or HRBlocks fault, it was transmitted completely fine. It was when the IRS system or person inputted the numbers into the transcript they missed putting the amount in for September which could cause an error. If this is the case for the 570 then it’s easily fixable and I wouldn’t start jumping to conclusions. However, I think that the healthcare debacle period is why so many people have the 570 and whether its a credit or a penalty, either way it adds a hiccup to the process. If i don’t see an update within a few days then I will start to worry. I will continue to post on here as updates occur though in case it helps someone else in the same boat.

Ok, so i have code 570 “account action pending” and I’ve been looking over my transcript and I saw that one of the monthly Premium tax credit amounts for September is listed as 0.00 even though what I sent on my return which i transmitted via hrblock shows the correct amount. Also I have my 1095A from the government also showing the correct amount that goes in that box but somehow when either the computer or person entered my information that’s showing on my account and return transcript they left that amount off which should be a little over 200 dollars and that also would then throw off figures for premium tax credit which would then throw off my refund. This is not my error so I’m not exactly sure who i need to contact to let them know they are missing the darn number. I hate to have to wait forever for their screw up.

I am just wondering if that is just the code that is present as things are processed before releasing because it still has the 2-16-2014 date next to it, the only difference is last years it said 846 2-24-2014 (and i got my dd on 2-10-2014) so right now sitting at 570 2-16-2014, I’m hopeful that will update to 846-2-16-2014 and be deposited on the 2nd (or friday depending on how you read the cycle dates.. that’s debatable and depends on the bank) I know i have no offsets and nothing has changed in the last year or any issues i can imagine that would hold it up unless that is just the generic… code “account action pending” that means the action will be… “its processed and ddd issued” Anyway, if anyone else would like to weigh in on that please let me know. Thanks!

I don’t have the Refund sent date on here anywhere but i’m not really worried. I have a Schedule C /Self Employment/ etc, so mine may be a little different but I remember last year that people were pretty correct deciphering ddd from the cycle date so i thought I’d share mine.

Still only one bar on WMR but I don’t worry abut it much since its only updated so often.
