@AMBER I really don’t believe that Friday is 01. Its really either Thursday or Monday. With it being Monday, it would be the date your return was processed, then add 4 days to that and that when you will receive your money. Or it is Thursday and Thursday night is when your return will be transmitted and that is your refund date.

MCRT88 is right. I compared to my past transcripts to the date it actually hit my bank, and they are right on. So we should have deposits into banks on Friday! :)

SO if WMR is ONLY updated 1 times a day, how come when we all got notices that we ere accepted we suddenly could see that on WMR…Wouldn’t that mean its set to real time. I know on 1/20/2015 when I checked in the morning It had no information but as soon as I got my acceptance email and checked it, it was showing online…I am confused.

I filed and accepted on 1/23. Still on one bar, I was able to order transcript across the board and saw a cycle of 20150402. I have the 846 code and it says refund date of 2-16-2015.

@ALLY27 nothing was directed at you in any way, my post – posted after yours – because I was typing for a minute and you posted before I could. It wasn’t directed towards you. Also, thank you @Melissa. I was only getting hostile with one person and that was because I created this post, to do my best, to help people interpret their tax transcripts and to shed some light on the cycle dates for the hundreds of people asking what they meant and somebody got hostile with me for trying to do so. Instead of in a friendly manner, or so I took it. This post has served its purpose though…

IT ALSO SEEMS like @ordinarytaxpayer may be correct in that it is the day of the week processed. Because if you think about it, 2 people just in this post received theirs on a Thursday last year. One persons ended in 05 and one in 01, if its the processing day PLUS 4 for refund, then it seems if it was processed on a 05 (Friday) then 4 business days later would be Thursday and if it was processed on 01 (Monday) then it could very well come Thursday as well or Thursday night/FRIDAY morning. Either way, we all now know that we will be getting our refunds at the end of this week.

I filed early last year and I did not receive my refund until the end of March. I never called the IRS, just listened and read posts on here last year. I was finally mailed a letter at the beginning of March for ID verification. I will not file early this year because of the delay from last year. I filed january 12th and was accepted prior to the opening date (january 30, 2014). I kept being re-sequenced and re-sequenced. I believe the people who “File early” are resequenced many times. A lesson I learn, not to file prior to the opening date!

I have not been able to view my transcripts either, but, this is the first year I have education credits. ( went back to school In 2014). I am not sure if this will cause a delay or not, I hope not!! I know A few years ago people with school credits had to wait to file, but I did not see anything like that for this year. Filed 1/21 accepted approx. 10 minutes later 1/21

I use Netspend so that’s probably why I had my direct deposit on Wednesday instead of Thursday. WMR gave me 2/20 as the ddd. If you bank with a regular bank it will be the day WMR says. I stopped using my bank because they would hold my dd for 3-5 days!

Last year I was accepted on the 2nd and had my direct deposit on the 12th…That’s only 8 business days…not too shabby…8 business days will be the 30th…will wait and see! However I can’t order transcripts at this point and filed on the 17th and was accepted on the 21st…hoping tomorrow will have an update. :)

Does anyone know how often the system is updated for transcripts and WMR? Should I just check for updates once a week instead of once a day?
If I cannot access my transcript, does this mean that there could be issues with my refund?
Does the IRS only send out refunds on one specific day in the week? If so what day is that?

I was looking at information that was posted not long ago regarding the refund cycle. This is what one person stated:

02 IS MONDAY THIS YEAR
Code 846 is refund and 2015 is year, 04 is the week of the year, and 02 the day.

IMF Daily Processing
IMF processing will be daily except on weekends. Some transactions post to IMF on a daily basis as opposed to during the weekly cycle.
IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined:
01 = Friday
02 = Monday
03 = Tuesday
04 = Wednesday
05 = Thursday

I looked at my transcript from last year and my refund cycle code was – 20140601 – Using the above information – 2014, 06 is the 6th week (1st week of February) 01 – Friday.

This would make my deposit date last year the first week of February on that friday. That date was 02/06/2014, and that was the date I received my refund. It certainly adds up :-)

Bank deposit dates are going to vary. I think its safe to assert that we should have our refunds by Monday.

I wholeheartedly appreciate MCRT88’s efforts to decipher the cycling. Thank you, BTW. However, I too have seen the Impatientlywaiting’s IRS weekday number order in the same sequence.

Just for the sake of trying to shed some light…. 20140705 was my cycle last year. I received the deposit in my bank 02/20th, a Thursday.

So I can look at 2014 Account Transcript and Wages, but there is no amount. Does not show my return informationi. IT states no return filed, when I know I filed and was accepted. Why am I able to pull this up but have no information. It also has a date of February 16th, but no cycle date. Anyone feel free to answer. Being that I haven’t filed a return since 2011 when I went to order my transcript it lock me out saying the info I entered didntatch my return does that me I’m done processing ?? One more questions I put all my info in the exact way it’s on my return but I did notice 1: I couldn’t even get pass the email confirmation on my phone so I switched to iPad and when I was entering my social I would enter the first 3 digits and it would only show 2 ** marks even though I entered 3 numbers then again on the next 2 numbers it would only show 1 * mark has anyone else notice this and is this why I was lock out possibly and is it even possible to view on iPad ?? And I never claimed to be 100% accurate, I said I am 99% positive that it will be sent on Friday. That was based of things that I had researched and patterns based off of previous returns and refunds and based off of what I saw, I was right to assume Friday. Because whether the Cycle Date is actually the refund date and I was right that it was Thurs-01 and Friday-02 or the Cycle Date is the date processed and plus 4 for a refund, either way the money is coming on Friday..

It’s possible to be locked out for 24 when first making an account as well as after. I have 40 verification code emails from having to go back and fourth with the IRS sensitive system from last year… -__- anyhow it’s normal I can’t even retrieve my user ID after registering last year.

I went to the IRS website to try to view my 2014 ‘account” or “refund” transcripts and I could not log in to view them online because I cannot remember my use ID. I tried getting it emailed but I am sure the system is hung up from so many trying. I was able to order both for 2014 to be mailed as of 1:00 PM today. @texasgirl, if you can order them at all you are in good shape it does matter which form you can view them in. The fact that you can order shows your return is more than likely completed. Some people can’t even order them.. I.e. They aren’t even ready to have them mailed out.

Cycle date is not the refund date!!! Cycle date of 20150402 means it was processed week 04 day 02 of 2015 – Monday 1/26. DD dates are cycle day +4 that so should be 1/30- Friday.

So, I was ale to view my transcripts earlier. I signed in as a guest. I got my cycle code as 20150402. I was going back to look at it again since I didn’t save it the first time, and it said I had entered my information wrong. I used the same info that I used when I was able to log in earlier today. SO i tried again and instead of trying to log in a a guest, I was going to set up an account. Well, now it says I am locked out for not using the the proper information. Um, I am a little confused. Doesn’t see anything wrong with my return but ” can’t get into it” too many specifics. I was told by the agent that at times transcripts aren’t available until after you get your money. soooo wanted my money yesterday… So many things to do:(

I filed with FreeTaxUsa on Monday 01/26/2015 and was accepted by the feds and state of California on 01/26/2015.

CA FTB website shows by return was accepted.

Just wondering how long did it take to go from accepted to approve for your CA state refund.

I don’t have the Refund sent date on here anywhere but i’m not really worried. I have a Schedule C /Self Employment/ etc, so mine may be a little different but I remember last year that people were pretty correct deciphering ddd from the cycle date so i thought I’d share mine.

Still only one bar on WMR but I don’t worry abut it much since its only updated so often.

I was able to order and view my transcripts this morning as well. Not sure if that means we will have a ddd this week or not. I am not banking on it though. I would be happy to at least know my federal ddd and NYS ddd by the end of the week though lol.
