Mine deposited today 3/8/2022 at 5:38pm. SBTPG revived funding earlier today at some time in the am as well. I use Netspend. My DD was 03/09/2022. So 1 day early, not too bad. Was worried I wouldn’t get it for a while cus if the SBTPG horror stories I’ve been hearing on here for this year.

@Stormy That’s why I said those are the two most common things I’ve seen while looking. I wasn’t speaking to EVERYONE’s issues, only what I’ve seen and what OP asked about. As to your situation, I’ve seen a LOT of people saying that same thing. You’d think since that’s a simple return you’d have seen your money by now.

@Vee It’s a hold the IRS placed while finishing your taxes, either due to an error or missing information or something else needing to be done on their end.

Just got off the phone with IRS (after 2hr hold) and was told that error was with the ATC and that the delay is because they need more time to finish up processing he said give them til April 8th!This tax year is terrible. 😔 hoping that the transcript updates tonight with 846 if that is the only hold up. 20220507 with 970&571 tax codes

If you claimed less/more ACTC than was sent, or if you claimed the third stimulus when they have record that you got it already (even if you didn’t) they’ll work to fix the error and the 971 is to let you know what they did. Those are just the two most common things I’ve seen while looking around. If you didn’t get the stimmy and they say you did you need to get them to trace the payment.

The 971 is them sending your notice by 3/14, it’s not necessarily saying it’s already been sent. Lots of people that had this code this year had to ID verify, but since you can already see your transcript it’s more likely an error.

I’ve seen people with your same situation get their DDD, so maybe it’ll happen soon, but it could also be an error which can take them 10 weeks to fix. Sign up for an IRS account and get your transcript, it may give you a clue as to what’s up.

Katiya, are you sure you filed the IS form? I tried to file it through HR block for a week or so at the end of Jan/ beginning of Feb and they didn’t even have the form ready. If it was available, there could have been an issue in HR blocks system. Download your return from their website and make sure it’s there. If they took the offset already, unless it’s a tax debt, then they didn’t receive your IS cause you’d still be waiting like the rest of us.

No updates, filed 1/24. WMR stuck on still processing with no TT152. Randomly decided to try and ID verify and it allowed me to last week. Now i wait for this Friday hoping there is some movement!

I have this exact message and received a letter on Friday to fax W2s (12c letter). I am assuming that one of my employers was late sending in a W2? I faxed this past Friday and apparently can take 6-8 weeks for a refund. This is the second time in 3 years I have had to fax my W2s for excess social security tax verification. In 2020 I filed in late January/early Feb and received my refund in the beginning of April. This is getting old real quick….

Last year I didn’t file my IS form (I didn’t yet know I needed to) and they took my money in two weeks, but lord knows they can’t GIVE me my money in that amount of time when I DO file the IS form.

The lady told me I needed to verify my identity and that a letter was sent out. I told her that I already did the id verify to get my transcripts online and she said that was all I needed to do. That’s the irs website and they had me upload my drivers license and then take a selfie. I’m not sure what that hold code could be for on yours. My transcripts are still N/A so there’s no codes that I can see

People need a place to vent though, even if they had a simple return and got their DDD. You’re welcome to come join us Injured Spouses, we know what torture is like! Yeah so I finally talked to the irs after about 1.5 hrs on hold. They said a letter was mailed out to me 2 weeks ago to verify my id. I told the lady I already did that 3 weeks ago to be able to see my transcripts online. She said it would be 9 weeks from when I did the id verify but I don’t think it’ll be that long. I’m thinking in the next week or 2 hopefully

saminKY, if you filed IS you’re in the same boat as me. They’ll get to us when they get to us, and it could take 11-14 weeks or even longer. All they have left to do with mine is offset it and send it out, but evidently it must not be that simple. Lord knows they were quick to take my money last year when I didn’t file it, but they’re slow as heck to get it to me this year when I did.

Hello I have the same 571 & 971 tax code with 20220507 cycle my refund was reduced by $2500 which I figured out was due to wrong amount of ACTC we also filed IS but I didn’t see anything on transcript but the transcript hasn’t updated and we still have the extended delay message on WMR. So question is has anyone with same information tax transcript updated yet today as of 3/8 and does anyone had a DDD yet?

If the IS form isn’t in your return, you’ll need to either send it separate or file amended. I’d call the Tax Advocate number (there’s a link at the very bottom of this page that takes you to that info) and see what they say.

Katiya, have you checked your return to be sure that your IS form was filed? Lots of us had issues filing with HR block and TT because they didn’t have the IS form ready. If you did fill it out, maybe there was an issue through their website and it didn’t get sent. If they got your IS form you’d still be waiting for your return to process like the rest of us.

Why is millions of people getting the “delayed” message, even know the majority of us know 100% we didn’t make any mistake on our taxes? For me, All i filed was a 1098-T form. . @Daddy-o another quick question. when you WMR updated this past weekend, did you get tax code 203 for the offset?

Alot of us weeklies received updates on WMR with DDD of 3/09 this past weekend. Everybody’s situation and when you will receive your refund is slightly different. So first of all, cycle codes. (Ex – 2022xxxx) Mine is 20220905. Which means I’m a weekly and get WMR updates, transcript updates on Fridays. In my case its been Saturdays.
2022 – the current year. (Not important)
09 – the ninth week of the year. (Usually get my deposit the week after. (So week 10)
05 – fifth day of the week: Friday.
I did not receive a DDD on WMR but it did update on the same day as you guys. Mine updated to 2 bars – approval. I had my TT fees taken out of my refund so there is going to be an offset – TC 203. This is the same code that pops up when they your refund is either reduced or fully reduced for something over due or in my case and a lot of others, your Turbo Tax fees. My WMR also said it would be deposited by 3/14 and if it wasnt i was to call the IRS. This is not a DDD. Its just an estimate of the longest it would take for it to be deposited. With that being fact, i wont have to wait until the 21st.

Long story stil long. If i paid for Turbo Tax up front, my WMR would have updated with a DDD of 3/09 and there wouldnt have been any confusion on my end. This is my tax situation and i hope this answers any questions some of you may have or at least calm your nerves. TRUST me, i know all about shot nerves. Feel free to ask anything. Yes I had them taken out. And yesterday morning they were labeled “payment complete”. SB updated this morning and showed all fees paid and supposedly a full payout to my CK card but nothing has hit yet. Hopefully tonight-tomorrow morning!
