I was worried why the text came on 2/1.after I was accepted 1/30…I just figured it was delayed
I am starting to see a pattern here..maybe if we hear from more HRB customers with this same problem..we can figure it outI’m starting to think this message comes up when the refund is ready, but there is still something processing on the deposit end. Like if the resulting deposit date would have been a weekend, or if they’re still trying to validate the bank info.
Totally just a wild guess, obviously, but in the absence of any other theories, I figured I’d throw that out there.
I agree with UGHHHHH… Call them if you feel like there is a problem with your return and are stuck processing for a week! They are NOT the ones working on the returns. That IS their job to answer the phones and it is OUR returns and INFORMATION we are calling about. I would not call if it were only a day or two… but, after a week and still processing… Yep, call and see what is wrong if you CAN get lucky enough to find someone willing enough to take the time and look.
Yep, me too. I was accepted (received) on the 31st. I am still on processing bar. I talked with a man at IRS finally. He said they have it and there is a garnishment for back taxes. I asked, does that hold it up .. he said NOT AT ALL.. it takes the money right off and a check is cut. I am getting annoyed with not even having the bar move to accepted. This happened two years ago. I fell into what they called a bad batch, and it kept kicking our returns back through… IT TOOK almost two months to get my dd. RIDICULOUS! I haven’t been able to order transcripts either. I will update when I get any new news! UGH.
I filed and was accepted on the 29th. Still Processing. It’s so aggravating to keep seeing the same message every damn day. . .SIGH.
Hello… I just have a question. I filed my taxes with Taxbrain, and they use SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group) they (SBTPG) received my money today and took out the appropriate fees. I still have not received a deposit to my walmart money card. I called the 800 number on the back of my card to see if was still active ( just to be safe I called 3 times) and they all said that my card was still active and there was no problems with my card. So my question is what time does SBTPG transfer money to your bank and what time will it show up? Thank you

I received this letter today it was very general and nothing specific as to why I am under review… I’m glad to know I am not the only one… Now for some reason my State (MI) has been pending acceptance since the 30th but today for some reason it was approved. As for my info

WMR Still processing no error codes at all
I have Ed Credit (Delayed till Mid Feb) CTC and profit and loss from self employment W2’s and a over 7k refund amount… I hope there is some info soon…. I was reading on the TT site last year this happen to ALOT of people… i filed though TA will post back when I get more InfoI’m glad to see some of you are get DDD. I’m still getting the one bar, 21 day message on WMR and am still unable to order any transcripts. :/

filed via taxslayer 1/17 was accepted on 01/30 approved and given dd of 02/06 on 02/02 finally ay 3 am this morning irs wmr says dd sent 02/06 but here it is 02/07 at 1pm and SBBT says they havent received anything yet!?!?

Anyone who filed on 2/4 have anything other than the “your return is being processed/21 day” msg? It’s way too early to be crazy about it, but just wondering considering that so many ppl who filed on the 30th and 31st still don’t have their $ yet.

Also like someone else mentioned I have had far greater success with the men looking up my file. I usually try to ask them how their day is going and engage in some conversation while they are looking up my info (ie. weather, where they are located, sports, etc).
hackney2009: 1st objective is to try to get them to open your file and look at it. Ask them that you just wanted to check to see if you have any errors or any debt indicators/offsets, flags, or under manual review on your file. They have to look at your return to find that information out. Once they have your file open then you can ask what you really want to know. If your refund was reduced then at that point ask them about the reduction and if they can tell you why the reduction.
Sometimes it takes multiple calls to get someone that is willing to help as many of them are trained to be rude and not open your file.

Eh, those reps don’t touch our returns, their job is to talk to us. They are CSR’s, not IRS agents. Mostly temp workers, hired on to take our OCD calls. :)

That is why I was throwing the 21 day waiting period out there, people seem to forget that as they see others get there DD
For everyone who is tracking thru WRM and it is incorrect there are millions more that it does work for that is a fact The IRS will process 150 million returns most of them with in the 21 days

I understand we all I would like are refunds ASAP
I filed on the 28th and got a message from HRB online that it could not be submitted until the 30th. I got an email at 9:30am that the IRS had accepted my return. I then got a text message on 2/1 from HRB that the IRS had accepted my return.
I cannot order any type of transcript and I have been processing with the 21day message since I started checking WFM.
Anyone else in this situation? Anyone get a DD yet that was/is in this situation?
On mine it said it got accepted on the 25 but i have the education credit thought it would reject but it didntt mine still says pending As of feb 7,2013
If their tracking tools worked and gave accurate updated information it would be a whole lot easier to have the confidence to just wait.

2013taxpayer : my refund was higher.. it was funny though I called yesterday when I received the letter monday evening and they could not find anything wrong with my return. I just played dumb and asked questions. Then when I told them about the letter they put me on hold and finally found the code.
When I was with my CPA today on the conference call today on the line he called they answered the call in less than 2 minutes… asked for his ID information and mine and looked at everything we asked them to. The person we spoke with said the code is nothing to be alarmed and basically just holds the funds in case someone wants to look at the return. He was searching for a reason why the return would of been held and then he asked how much it was for and when I told him over $7000 he then said that was the reason due to the high dollar amount. Said I should still receive it within the 21 day time frame like WMR is stating from the 28th which for me would be 2/18.

@duece1911 Thank you so much for this helpful information!!! My refund is $3405, I’m wondering if I was flagged because that amount. Is your refund close to my amount?The form list updated on IRS.gov last night. I spoke to TT a couple times as well in the past couple days and they told me that my return should be accepeted late next week (14/15). Who knows anymore, but this seems to be in-line with what the IRS said from the begining.
I know you’re right, Yanking. The funny thing is, I wouldn’t even be obsessing over it like this if I wasn’t on this website seeing people who filed after me get their DDD’s and/or hard deposits. THAT is what is driving me crazy.

I filed on the 31st like most of you in this thread. I check WRM daily. However I will not be calling the IRS until the 22nd day. Why ? Because the IRS says to contact them if you do not get the refund in 21 days.
Come on folks, lets let the IRS do there job.
I told the reps that I couldn’t get through on the WMR. It was true, but it was prob because I checked too many times that day. (I didn’t tell them I knew that ;). The first rep wouldn’t access my acct, just gave me 21 day spiel. The second rep was kind and just pulled up my info. I guess it comes down to luck/if you get a nice rep.
I filed using FREETAXUSA on 1/28, got my accepted email 1/31 around 9pm… WMR has been processing ever since.. I was able to order transcript. Still waiting for DDD.. Anyone with my dates getting anywhere?

@peanut I have wellsfargo as well. They do not shoe anything pending. From other post they seem to get our deposits the noting of the deposit date
I just got off the phone with another rep, and i’m always very polite and thank then for taking time out to help me out.
This lady wasn’t ‘rude’ but certainly wasn’t friendly either :)
She took my information, and said it hasn’t been 21 days and that it is still showing in process and there is NO deposit date given yet. So maybe that is where i’m at with mine and I just need to grow some patience…haha! :)
I’ll wait to see what I can find out online tomorrow or just wait till next week :) Our state refund should be deposited into our bank tomorrow so that is a plus :)
You can ask them to verify banking information, you can ask about offsets, that last one I got I told that the IRS2go app was telling me to call them. That was true, but I knew that most people with the vanishing bar were getting that too. I also mentioned that I got 3 different answers from 3 different people yesterday and I was worried. I haven’t gotten a rude one yet (knock wood), but I am ALWAYS very nice to them even though I’m annoyed as all get out. Get more flies with honey :)
Well I found out why my return isn’t being processed and is stuck at the 21 day message. I called and got a very friendly irs rep who looked up my information. She said well i’m seeing 2 returns for you in my system. I had filed 1/24 with form 8863 the education credit, and was rejected 1/29 with freetaxusa for that reason. So I thought I was being smart and refiled that same night without the form. Well apparently the first return needs to be rejected out of their system and that can take 3 weeks. So after that one is fully rejected mine will process normally. So I’m on hold for now but at least I know what is wrong.
@hoppeewi I had a 9001 error this week and I called back today to make sure everything was ok because the guy I talked to earlier in the week was so rude. She just gave the info. I think it all depends on who you get…..try again and see what happens. :-)
What is everyone saying to the live reps to get them to look up your info?
The guy today “Mr. Woods” said that he can’t pull up any additional information than what I’m seeing. He said my orange ticker bar likely went away because i’m checking it too much. Seriously?
He said he can’t and won’t pull up any information. I think I want to call back and try something else but i’m wondering what you are all saying to have these people look it up for you :)

On the phone with “Miss Mcburnie” now, she looked up my account and told me that they did have to correct something in my return (which is funny, yesterday a guy told me with 100% certainty that I was NOT in the error queue). She said it was corrected today and that it was processing, she didn’t see any further problems and I should have my refund “within 10 days”… whatever.. I’m so tired of the run around and different stories, I’m done checking. I will keep an eye on my bank account. The IRS is way too much stress.
Mine isn’t even showing the bar anymore…weird. And nothing in SBBT yet.
Anyone who knows how Wells Fargo handles the DDs? And how does your WMR look lke right now….on ours the last bar is not filled yet.
so i was going to call this number: 800-829-0582 ext.362 to maybe talk to a live person and see what’s what but the estimated wait time was over 15 mins soooo…
maybe on my lunch break or something.Looks like there is a date of 2/13 for the irs form 8863 to become available. I’ve been looking for updates. But, this seems like the first concrete piece of information issued by the irs.
Filed the 28th myself and still pending on TT. Hopefully my return will be accepted on the 13th. Still not holding out hope that people who file 2/15 don’t get their refunds sooner than me. Seems to always work out like that when you get stuck in delays.
WMR is showing processing, should receive refund within 21 days still today. No error codes or anything. Still haven’t received any mail from the irs. I am starting to think the hold on my refund was caused by a system error. My hold is scheduled to be released 2/18.
THey received mine this morning when they opened at 9am CST and have already released my money to greendot, just waiting for my card to have it now. My DDD is tomorrow.

-Ordered transcript 2/5 (around 1:30PM EST) – successful on first try.
-WMR site showed ‘Approved’ 2/6 (around 10AM EST)
-Santa Barbara Bank rec’d funds on 2/7 (around 9:30AM EST)…waiting on the funds to be deposited onto my Walmart prepaid card that states the money is made available to me as soon as they receive it. We shall see I suppose.

I have a DDD of 02/12. I was wondering if anyone received their deposit before the date they were given? WMR and 800# never updated for me. I called and talked to a live person and she gave me the date of 02/12

I was putting in single instead of head of household on wmr lol! I have been received and processing not sure how long its been processing I filed 2/1 and approved the same day make sure you guys enter the correct info

04_Kirk W: It looks like they pre accepted your return on the 25th which was 3 days before they made the decisions that they could not process the form 8863. Unfortunately your return is stuck untill they figure that out probably by the middle of this month.
Erica O: oh ok- darn it! last question for you- a coworker says turbo tax found out from the IRS that they will be accepting these forms on feb 7th- can you confirm this update?
04_Kirk W: I cannot. That is the date we are putting out a patch for some other common issues this year. However, form 8863 is entirely the IRS’s issue to fix. In other words, we are just as in the dark as you are.

Still processing Accepted 1/27, Really trying to be patient but its starting to get me worried!
Mine doesn’t have the bar anymore either. When you called did they get all of your info and look up your account? I called Tues. and lady said still processing and that she wasn’t allowed to pull up my acount…21 days, yada yada. When I called yesterday the person took my info and gave me my date. Hope that helps some.

I read someplace that they receive funds twice a day but I don’t know when. I am eager to see those funds come in and see how quickly they hit my bank.
What is everyones WMR saying to them? Up until yesterday morning I had that status bar that was orange showing my progress, as of yesterday morning that is now gone and it simply states the following:
Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
It is no longer showing even my refund amount on the left hand side below the tax period information. Which I thought was odd.
Has me nervous for some reason!
I can’t get any information from the IRS2GO app or thru hotline automated system, and the gentleman on the phone said it is still in process.
Hopefully i’m not alone in this.

hackney2009 – Not sure but you would receive a letter stating you are being Audited if that was the case.
Remember that if anyone is experiencing a financial hardship due to the delay of their refund they can call the Tax Advocate group which is a free service to represent you and expedite or if not expedite at least research your situation more as they will act as your liason with the IRS during the process of the review.
The number is listed on the letter 4464c 1-877-777-4778
i checked my papers and the deposit that i received came out to be the exact amount of my Federal
Withholdings minus the fees HRB was supposed to take out. Does this mean im one of the lucky ones
that is getting a real audit instead of it being a computer error?

Have you seen anybody get the partial return?
I filed 1/30. WMR has never updated. I called yesterday and was told dd 2/8. Hoping to see funds hit SBBT sometime today and my bank tomorrow. I don’t know why they have the WMR tool if they don’t bother to update it so people can track the progress of their refund.
I have been under review since the 1st also but I am only able to order a account transcript and not the return transcript. I still get the processing and refund expected in 21 days. No error codes or anything and when I call I had to actually tell them I received the letter as the IRS agents told me everything looked fine with the return. The agent yesterday actually had to go look up the letter 4464c before he gave me the 6 to 8 week spill. Another agent told me he is supposed to say 6 to 8 weeks but it usually is alot faster than that time frame.
