Deposit pending for in the morning. What a tax season… I hope that anyone still waiting gets good news very soon!
Very happy to see you with progress! I hope that the rest of this ride is a smooth one for you!
I know that if I needed (and not just wanted) this money, I would have been terrified. I’ve seen time and time again that “still processing” is something bad & in my case it wasn’t. I didn’t have to verify, maybe that is the difference… who knows :)
I’ll agree to disagree. If it were as you stated, I’d have went to processing from still processing, but I didn’t. I went from still processing straight to a ddd. If it were as you stated, I’d have went to processing before getting a ddd.
Truth is, it seems to be different for everyone. But I don’t want people scared something is wrong, simply because WMR says ‘still processing’ & that is likely not the case.
To anyone thinking there is a difference between processing and still processing, there may be a difference but it does not effect when you get a ddd. I went from no bars/still processing/tt 152 to 2 bars & there was nothing in between.
Still Processing means that your return is still being processed.
I also never received a letter ( as of today )
Ditto. I also have the 971 dated 03/16 without receiving a letter. Maybe the letter is meant to be sent on 03/16.
@Taxadv11
You should contact your local USPS, not all offices will forward government mailings. I’d call to check if yours does forward because if they don’t they will likely return to sender.

WMR updated on 03/14 to a DDD of 03/18March 14, 2020 at 8:04 am in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4393488I can’t view my transcripts online & I gave up on expecting any changes soon. I checked this morning, not expecting anything, and WMR updated with a DDD of 03/18.
So it finally happened!
“Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by March 18, 2020.”
March 13, 2020 at 11:41 pm in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4393374I’m still waiting. Transcripts haven’t arrived & WMR hasn’t changed.
Honestly, I’m simply not worried about it. I just didn’t want you guys to think that I received my refund and bailed. Right now there are more important things to worry about. There are people suffering from the virus in our area, my mother refuses to stay home (she is 68) from work. We have a 10 year old at risk. I’m genuinely concerned about my community, my state, the country, & the world. Stay safe everyone & pray.
Will update when something changes.
@Texasrosie817
My transcripts have been completed since at least 02/22 & I am under wage review according to the rep. I wish I could give you an answer, but I’ve made myself crazy trying to figure out how I could be under a wage review with a completed transcript. I really do think that they are just behind.
By the way, my post isn’t to scare you… I’m sure that your issue is not the same. But 570 can mean more than what Charlie claims in his op.
In my case, I’m under a wage review (according to the agent I spoke with). I know for a fact that my wages are correct & I don’t need the money now (although I do want it) so I will let it work itself out.
In addition, his transcripts are zero’d out & there are no codes after 570.
We can’t always play detective when there is an issue. Transcripts do not always tell us & WMR is not much help. If you need the money & can’t wait for the IRS to resolve it, on their time, I’d call every single day until I got a real answer.
This is why you don’t give up. Keep calling, no matter how annoying it is. My son-in-law received his 2018 tax return yesterday. The IRS never sent a letter, the only way he knew anything was because he’d call. Turns out, someone filed using his info on the other side of the country. He received his full return plus interest, but it took 11 months and 21 days.
March 9, 2020 at 12:37 pm in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4390964No known changes, no update on WMR & ordered transcripts Saturday (03/07). I’m going to wait until they get here before I call the IRS back. I can’t really see the point in calling now, will likely receive no information, at least if I have a new code or no changes I will know where to sway the conversation.

Reply has a character count. Edit for length or number your responses (for example 1/3, 2/3, 3/3).
—Spam was terrible here for a couple of days, you’d need to scroll & scroll through one reply. The count is annoying but necessary & greatly appreciated.—
@Swtmel
If your child is born within the year (even if it is December 31st), they lived with you for the entire year. 12 months is an accurate answer, no need to amend over this.
“What is wage verification? Don’t they have your w2’s”
Yes. My transcript is accurate and complete. I assume that, at the time of my processing, the Social security Administration hadn’t updated my income. I’m totally just guessing & still assuming this is totally random because there is no inaccurate information on my taxes. Same job (18 years) and same child (10 years), so other than a change in income gradually increasing — the same return for 10 years.
@wildthing88
I will :)

Still no update on WMR for me. Ordered transcripts to see what new (if any) codes are on them before I call the IRS again.
(Recap)
Filed & Accepted 02/02
1 bar until 02/20 — went to your return is still being processed with no tax topic
02/22 — tax topic 152 back (still processing)
02/22 — ordered transcriptsDown for me too, I’m getting “We are sorry Where’s My Refund is currently unavailable. Please try Where’s My Refund again later” after I enter information & hit enter.
No known update. I’m weekly & cannot view transcripts online. I can’t order transcripts again until tomorrow, when WMR should update if there is a change. If there is no WMR update for me, I’ll order the transcripts in the morning. Seems WMR isn’t updating for some & is for others so its possible that I won’t know anything until the transcripts arrive.
Just wanted to give a quick update, didn’t want you guys to think that I got my money & ran :)
March 4, 2020 at 10:51 pm in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4388915@Gofigure
I hope that everyone at least gets some real answers. I honestly can’t begin to imagine why my refund is under review for longer than a few minutes… lol. It is what it is & I hope for the best for everyone in this mess!
Is everyone with 20200805 stuck on 971 dated 3/16 with a 570 dated 3/09? Or have any of you actually received a DDD?
My cycle code is 20200805, code 570 dated 03/09, but no 971 yet.
March 4, 2020 at 10:49 am in reply to: I have to wait March 9th for a letter, am I under a 60 day review? #4388608@Lmb
Yes, it can be wage verification. I’m currently under a 60 day review for wage verification, according to the IRS representative. They gave me no information beyond that.
I’m not saying that you are under a wage verification hold, just that it is possible.
March 4, 2020 at 10:26 am in reply to: 0805, 570 – weekly, filed 1/26/accepted 1/27 – Still no DDD #4388597To my understanding, weekly updaters update on Friday. So, if you have an update coming, you most likely will not see it until Friday morning. I have the same code & date. I’ve seen that it means it will be processed by then, that it will not begin to process until then, and that the date can change. I’ve searched faq here but can’t find an answer. IRS says I am on a wage verification hold, but that may just be a stall tactic. If you find out, please update here :)
Filed/accepted 02/02 & received state just under 2 weeks later. Still waiting on federal.
What is the Internal Revenue Service/Social Security Administration (IRS/SSA) Reconciliation Process?
“Earnings report data and tax report data, are submitted to SSA and IRS by employers, their representatives, third parties, and agents. If wage data processed by SSA is less than the amount reported to IRS, we assume that the processed earnings are incorrect.”
March 4, 2020 at 10:06 am in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4388583No update for me, but I am a weekly so probably won’t see any changes until Saturday (if there are any changes).
March 4, 2020 at 12:19 am in reply to: I have to wait March 9th for a letter, am I under a 60 day review? #4388363@Lmb
Not me. I have a single W2, from the same company I’ve been at for 18 years. My refund is not near that amount & if it were I’d likely be more upset than I am. No unemployment. Same singe child, since his birth 10 years ago.
Nothing has changed with my returns over the past 10 years, so I can’t see an issue & that is what is driving me to play this seemingly endless guessing game. IRS rep said wage verification, well okay, verify them then and get the ball rolling… lol.
March 4, 2020 at 12:13 am in reply to: I have to wait March 9th for a letter, am I under a 60 day review? #4388361@Gofigure
Maybe so, will know something soon(ish). Either way, I will update here.
March 3, 2020 at 10:01 pm in reply to: I have to wait March 9th for a letter, am I under a 60 day review? #4388290@Gofigure
If I recall correctly, we have the same issues. I think the basic difference is that you are 20200705 & I am 20200805. Just out of curiosity, my code 150 states 03-09-2020 (beside my cycle code), what date do you have? I filed/accepted on 02/02, today is 03/03 & my transcripts are complete (except the 571 & 846). IRS says verifying wages, but they are on my transcript as of 02/22. Just curious if I was possibly re-sequenced.
@Tani: IGMR has an exhaustive list of IRS transaction codes here: https://igotmyrefund.com/irs-transaction-codes-and-error-codes/
@JC: Have you tried calling the automated IRS refund hotline? (800-829-1954)
@Quainey: Yes, but it is through the mail & can’t order again until Saturday.
@Gofigure: I only have one W-2, about half of my co-workers are in the same situation. But I don’t think it is my employer, it is the SSA & IRS. My date is 03/09, so a week after you.
Update: Called IRS, under 60 day review for wage verification.
I am 100% certain that it was reported correctly on my return, so I’m left to assume that this is totally random and it will work itself out. The question is when, the answer is when they get to it. Nothing to do but wait, so looks like I’m waiting.
Who else is under a wage verification hold?
March 1, 2020 at 10:28 pm in reply to: When is the next update and who’s all still waiting? #4387042Accepted 02/02
WMR changed from 1 bar to “still being processed” on 02/20
No letters (yet)
Cycle code: 20200805
“As of” date 03/09
Codes on transcript: 150, 766, 768, & 570Still waiting, hoping they are just behind & will be completed by the 9th, but not counting on it. Never had an issue & nothing has changed in 10 years. Same child, same address, same job, etc.
20200605
Path
Got 570 Code last Friday
Was told I was under 60 day review that started on the 20th
Got ddd of 3/4 on transcript update today!!What was/is on your WMR?
I’ve seen people post different meanings/outcomes as well. Verify I.D., W-2 issues, re-sequenced, etc.
I think the op is correct, but I also think it is a good idea to find out what it means for you.
@qitysaac I think they update daily, with a big update on Wednesday and Saturday.
@Mango, thank you! I’m a few days after you, so hopefully I’ll see something this week.
Filed/Accepted 02/02
1 Bar – TT152
EIC & ACTC (but never received a path message on WMR)My status changed sometime between 7pm & midnight (EST) 02/20 to no bars & no tax topic. All info (including refund amount) still on left hand side of screen.
On 02/21 the tax topic is back.
Ordered transcript today 02/22 but hoping this is resolved before I receive them. Should I order them daily just in case?
Thank you for letting me rant & any answers are appreciated!!
@Mango What is considered early? I filed/accepted 02/02, is that early?
@peachie my coworker tried to call the offset number and it did the same
Thank you, I just tried it again and it did go through. No new information, says same as WMR. Hope your co-worker can get through and gets good news!
Approved for ddd of 2.26.20 HOWEVER….it. DID NOT UPDATE ON WMR, it said wrong information entered!!
I called the refund automated line and the ddd was there.Just tried calling, entered all information & then the automated operator apologized and said that it was currently not working. Smh. I just want answers, good or bad, I just want to know.
