Glad to hear DD already dropping! I was approved on 1/26.. so hopefully see a DD tomorrow!
Probably not. Mine has went back and fourth like that since Tuesday….But who knows?
I logged in sbtpg and the expected date disappeared i wonder whats going on or could it be an update.Anyone else seeing this.

Same here…only my bars went away after a few days and never returned. I don’t have any tax offsets, nothing indicating that I am under review. I didn’t receive any letter or number to call. It just says it processing the return and a date will be given once available with tax code 152. I filed on 1/7 got accepted on 1/11. Last year I got my money on the 21 day mark.
I got a little less this year. Last year by return was a little over 8K this year it is about 7k
so I hope I get that soon…I’m buying a car.Filed State/Fed: 1/14/2016

Happened to me as well! An hour ago. Was set for 2/2, but now is gone! lol, this is so crazy it’s starting to humor me… What is going on haha… Kind of miss the old days when I didn’t care when it came lbvs…

I filed 1/15 and was accepted 1/19. What are the chances that I will be getting my DD tomorrow 1/29? On the where’s my refund app for Play Store (not the IRS2GO one) it said tomorrow. But my WMR still has 1 bar. I’ve never had experience with getting a DD prior to my WMR being updated?

Ugh. I’m glad to see my misery has company. I filed via TT January 11, accepted the 12th WMR at one bar as of five min ago. Cannot order transcripts. I’ve always filed early and always gotten my refund in the first batch. Sbbt shows funding date of Tuesday 2/2. I’ve never gotten funded on any other day than Friday. Incidentally February 2nd is groundhogs day, I’m afraid the irs will see its shadow and I won’t get funded….
@Where’s my dang money – No. I received that email (as well as a handful of others), and nothing happened (for us). BUT that doesn’t mean it’s not on its way. TT told someone that’s just a general email they send out, but checking my prior year’s records, I got that email, and shortly after my deposit.
Also, there were several others that got the email 2 days ago, and DDD confirmations yesterday (morning).
@Dea – See the below excerpt from the Turbo Tax Website. This may help. I am an early bird as well (Accepted 1/12).
You may be anxious to receive your refund, but sometimes being an early filer works against you. Changes to the tax code or procedures often happen at the last minute, and refunds can be delayed while the IRS updates tax software. These delays are usually minimal, but can be avoided by waiting until the second or third week of the year. In 2012, recalls Holland, returns filed prior to January 26 were delayed more than a week, because the IRS added new anti-fraud measures on their computer systems.
Filing at the last minute can also delay your return, especially if you file on paper, due to the sheer volume of people filing at that time. Later filing also increases the possibility that you’ll fall victim to identity theft, where someone uses your Social Security number to file a fake return and claim a refund.
The IRS delays processing returns bearing a Social Security number that has already been filed, so if you file first, the thief will be out of luck. If the thief files first, your refund can be delayed for several months while the IRS verifies your information and tracks down the fraudulent return.
Update: SBTPG is working fine now. Don’t know what happened, but all info (for me) is the same.
So I am hearing that people called in and the IRS is saying that they dropped us into one big pot. That even if you filed early, you weren’t truly accepted until the 19th and that it is 21 days from that day..
OK. I GET THAT.
But, it clearly states on A LOT of websites including the IRS that it is on a “First in, first out” basis unless your refund has certain forms including Injured Spouse, Etc.. HOWEVER, if we were dropped into “One Big Pot”, that means that on the 19TH that everybody that filed early and was basically just sitting in a que, would then be accepted that day and be dropped into the same pot as the people that filed on the 19TH!! Then, everybody that filed after that, would go in after them. Or at the very least, everybody on the 19th would be first and then the people who filed early would be after..
So, if this were true, the people who filed on the 19th and were accepted on the 19th were basically accepted on the same day as somebody who filed on 1/11-1/18 and from there it is on a first in, first out basis. THEN HOW COME there is people who filed on 1/23 now getting DDD and people that filed 1/11 – 1/19 still without DDD?
UNLESS they waited until 1/23 to drop everybody into one big pot?? I am confused now that these people who filed 1/22-1/23 are getting DDD for 1/29 and 2/1???WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol…
@Avery I recall seeing the IRS hotline on the front of the website. However, I also read that many of the calls to the IRS are not being received due to the high call volumes. Just keep trying if you don’t get through. They might not tell you much if it hasn’t been more than 21 days.
I called and checked on my status this morning.. Im still processing (no manual or anything). The guy I spoke with was super nice and told me that the delays and manual status are alto more this year because they put in a new computer system on December 1st. He said it has been causing problems with refund issue dates and put alot more people into manual review.
The systems decides when it goes out (and updates)He said they are trying to work on the system to make it more efficient but at this point its a waiting game for everyone.

I was accepted on the 1th and was able to order my account transcripts yesterday.
Are they any hope for updates for this weekend. All I keep seeing is Wednesday and Sundays of mass updates. Reading around the forums I didn’t see much updates happening today. So is there hope for an update for a DDD 2/1?
Also not sure if this makes a difference but like I said yesterday I was able to order my account transcript, this morning I was able to login in again but my return transcript was not available. I tried checking again it days my info is incorrect. Last time it did that I was able to order my account transcript.

Not sure where my post went! lol No update yesterday. WMR usually updates on Wednesdays for me so hopefully I will have a DDD no later than the 5th!
Nothing on Fed yet (of course), but already got a DDD of the 1st for my Nebraska return! They are on the ball this year! Thinking (hoping) Fed DDD with be Feb 5.
Yesterday I could pull my prior years transcript. Today it tells me my info is not accurate. Does that possibly mean mine is being updated today?

Filed and accepted 1/23 (TT). I have had one bar since then. Now they took my bar away. Does anyone know why? I haven’t had any tax codes pop up. I was hoping for 2 bars this morning and found 0.

So, I was just reading a very detailed article on the phases of your return and when those dates are, etc., etc.. It seems to me, that after reading, that the IRS actually processes(not issues) returns for refund on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and that is why we see so many people receive DDD’s on Wednesday and then so many people get DD without WMR ever updating. So, it goes like this basically:
As many people as they could process, were processed Tuesday, then Weds (Early Morning) the WMR tool updated to reflect those status’ and showed those people their DDD. BUT, If there was a left over (people who filed before a certain date but were not able to be processed Tuesday), then those will be processed FIRST thing on Thursday. After they finish those THEN they will start on the next cycle date.
Those persons in the first batch, leftover from Tuesday and processed first on Thursday, will still be funded the next DD day (which is Friday, possibly Monday/Tues depending on your bank) as if they were processed on Tuesday. Then, the rest of Thursday, and this coming Tuesday (2/2), they will be working on the returns for the next round of DD’s.
THAT is why so many of us in previous years, including myself, have seen money deposited to our accounts without WMR ever updating. Because our returns weren’t finished up by the cut-off on Tuesday, for the WMR update, but were finished up first thing on Thursday before the cut off for the Friday DD. So, we didn’t see an update but still had the money when everybody else did.As far as I could research, this is why WMR doesn’t update people sometimes and they still get their money. I researched this for a few hours and this is what I came up with. I am not saying this is 100% on point, factual from the IRS, but it should help to inform you why this happens this way and maybe give you some relief. Now, your return could still be held up for review or for a number of other different things, but I GUARUNTEE (because it happens every year) that some of us will get deposits tomorrow without WMR having updated to show it on Wednesday.

Hey guys I’m in the same boat.. Filed 1/7 accepted 1/11 still one bar.. I honestly think it was a mistake to file early granted this is my 3rd year in a row filing early and first year not receiving money with first batch… Just hang in there peeps!!

I was reading there are mass updates sunday and wednesday. As I am looking through the forums today, only a few got approved.
yesterday i was able to put in my information and order my transcript for both account and return, however they were not ready to be mailed to me. This morning I tried to order my transcripts and it says my information does not match their records. I am putting in the same information as yesterday. Would anyone have any idea why this would happen, or what it could mean?
