i talked to a nice rep at the irs who actually looked at mine today and she said the 1541 is just a hold for the path act for most for me my hold on y transcript is for my injured spouse which theyve already processed and are done with but I have to wait anyway and watch wheres my refund for the next 4 to 6 weeks from 2/11/19 when my injured spouse was processed so good news but still waiting she did say everyone elses hold should be up on the 27 th though just not mine from the sounds of it so atleast some positive news for some of you others.

WMR IS CURRENTLY DOWN RIGHT NOW its the first time its ever been down for me at the same time other people have said it’s been down for them so maybe that means something positive for some of us. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking!

checked my transcripts today no refund 846 code yet all same codes as last 4 years before 846 direct deposit release including 570 also feel i should mention that on none of my transcripts does it show that i ever had a 571 code before the refund but that might just be my specific situation being that every year i file injured spouse form for last like 7 years and we always get it back being that im always the only income and he had the college debt before we were ever married this is my 2nd year efiling the injured spouse with my return and last year i got my refund feb 22nd nothing ever updated before the funds went into the bank so i’ going to think positive and continue to wait it out, i will update everyone as soon as I get have any kind of update on mine. I was told the same things all of you were told its the eic and the path and ctc that holding everyone up wait until after tues wait till next week so now its next week and hopefully we will all get some good news through out the week. Also I filed jan3 2019 accepted jan14 eic ctc 1009 code 2 days later then 4 days later went to 1541 code been that way ever since hope this info helps you guys my transcripts cycle 20190405 date 02-11-2019 codes 150 806 766 768 570 $0.00 290 additional tax assessed date 03-04-2019 $0.00 at the top shows a negative amount for my full return amount which signifies a full credit any thoughts?

I just called ext 652 got a nice guy told me nothing will be updated completely for 1541 until after Tuesday so regardless of when i filed or how long I’ve had that code he said it’s not going to do any good to check into it until after Tuesday so i wasn’t able to find out anything new about mine sorry guys no update from me yet. :(
I did however order my transcripts the other day and again today to see what changes have happened haven’t received any yet but as soon as I get them I will update with codes.

I read on another forum that if you can have your return transcript for this year mailed to you from the irs website then they’ve done your return and I just checked and was able to order both my account and return for 2018 transcript for this year so hopefully that info is legitimate and im just waiting for them to release my refund I still have no update on wmr and dont have a phone plan to order electronic transcripts so best update i could give until after the 15th

someone posted about an hour ago on the main forum that the c freeze aka the hold we’re all under will lift Friday this was stated to them today by an irs rep they told them pathers would get their deposits wed. thurs. and our holds would lift fri. so hopefully that info pans out.

reference 1541 can mean different things for different people most of which are under these types of reasons for delays of processing.Causes for Delays in Refunds from the IRS Taxpayer owes back taxes, either individual or business (refund offset). Taxpayer owes delinquent child support (refund offset). Taxpayer has certain delinquent federal debit, such as student loans, etc. (refund offset). The last name and social security number of the primary taxpayer must be the same as on last year`s return or the return will be delayed at least one week for re-matching. It is strongly suggested that you use the name as it appears on the mailing label of the tax package. The Estimated Tax payments reported on the return do not match the Estimated Tax payments recorded on the IRS Master File. This generally occurs when: The spouse made separate Estimated Tax payments and filed a joint return, or vice versa; or The return was filed before the last Estimated Tax payment was credited to the account. The taxpayer has a Schedule E claiming a deduction for a questionable tax shelter. The taxpayer is claiming a blatantly unallowable deduction. The taxpayer is considered to be a first-time filer. A first-time filer is defined as a taxpayer who has not filed a tax return as a primary or secondary taxpayer during the previous ten years. Form 8379 Injured Spouse Allocation is attached.

Last year I think mine took 6 weeks I think it depends on how many years you’ve filed how complicated your case is if you have any changes from previous years and so on and if nothing changes it gets faster but that’s just a guess I’ve been filing injured spouse for at least 6 or 7 years now electronically is definitely the fastest way to do it with your return.I do mine with free tax usa and it doesn’t charge me to do it with mine

I have the same code on mine and when i called they said that popped up on there before they even started processing so they weren’t even sure why that was on there except that it was there because we were waiting for the earned income credit and ctc hold to be lifted. Now my individual case i file every year with an injured spouse form as well but i always get my refund so he said he thought that it’s just a generic hold code like the 9001 code everyone had for a while waiting for our refunds to be released.
