    1/28 accepted the same day!got a letter dated 2/13 60day hold..have changed since then they took my state 2/15 for unemployment overpayment! Transcript say And negative credit meaning they owe me a refund.. Processing date 3-2-2020 additional count 3-2-2020 and I can’t get nobody to help me..cycle code 0705

    Filed 2/9 accepted same day Processed 2/18. My husband and I called the TOP line as me and my husband both have offsets. They updated my husbands offset with the amount and date of April 10th, mine still says I have one debt and it may be offset but no amount or date. Should we be expecting a DD on the 10th?     This is the first year that I’ve had my taxes offset. I sent the IS form via mail on March 12th, 2019… how do I find any updates or even find out if it was received?!

    • Anytime I’ve called the IRS they pretty much say they can’t speak to me until it has been the 11th week. I just order my transcripts hoping for a code 846 which means Direct deposit. Last year they were more helpful this year not so much. I called the TOP offset line and it says they have taken the debt. I’m still waiting for my money but at least…[Read more]

    So I filed on Feb 1st and it was accepted the same day. Then on the 22nd they said it would be sent to my account BY Feb 27th. A little after midnight on Feb 28th it said it was sent to my account on 2/27 and should be showing no later then March 4th.     I just called and found out i have offset for state taxes. Wmr still shows topic 152. I called just to see if i had one since no movement. How long does it take to get refund that is left over.
    Filed on Feb 17th. Approved same day.

    So I never got a 203 tax topic… I have a processing date of 2/25 and the date on the top is 2/25. I have a 570 code on my transcript but no offsets according to the offset line…. anyone have any ideas when I might get my 846 code?

    offset hotline @
    1-800-304-3107 and find out if and how much you owe just by entering you Ss# its all automated…. hope this can help some of you

    And yes, they can take your refund even if you claim you had no notice.

  • If the loan was consolidated either with a Direct Loan or a rehabilitation loan, and your making payments on time, the IRS can’t take your refund. They could if you default on the payment plan.

    I would continue to check the offset hotline and to be really sure you could always call the IRS directly. It’s not fun, but they would tell you for sure…[Read more]
