As of dates keep changing Nov 08-2021.
My understanding is that if your return is completed, the computer shouldn’t be cycling and keeping record of the As of date.
Who knows , I feel there might be a massive refund dump this monthIf the date falls to Wednesday – direct deposit
If the date falls to Friday – check would be mailed on that day.
9/1 seems a Wednesday so that should be direct depositIf u got 290 code with $0. U waiting for 846 refund code, but if u view your transcript and check the 290 code for the stimulus checks , there probably was not an 846 code after it.
At this moment nobody knows when it will happen, tonight is a weekly cycleAs of date changed to September 13,2021. Seems to be a long September
Hey I have a refund date for today, no refund yet, does it come in at random times also I was reading that if you have a refund date on a Friday your getting a check mailed to you?
If refund is issued on Friday it is always a check, usually takes 7 days from that day of refund issued. Some folks get it early, depends on usps. Watch out for it in your informed delivery.
290 code with 0.00 means that a tax hold has been lifted and u do not owe taxes, findings have showed that whenever there is a stimulus check coming , this tax code shows up. But nobody knows when a 846 code will pop up after it.
Some received refunds without 846 showing on their transcript for the unemployment. I believe if u have their code , you might be in queue. Some folks have been stucked at their code since July 26th.

I will go through a congressman. Getting a tax advocate is a 50-50 game. Sometimes it really slows down the returns with respect to the advocate you get. A good advocate will get your returns released in 2 weeks. A bad advocate can slow things down.Wmr mass updates from 3am-7am

There is a mass update for transcript from 3am, but I believe for dailies, but sometimes they throw in some weeklies too@VJ
It is usually a verification issue, but this is my opinion
The irs didn’t process the return as a way of not overloading the slow and old computer system. It sounds ideal to throw this returns either into review or errors department or identity verification to control the pace at which the returns comes in.
Am certain that once your return is in the master file, you will have your 2020 transcript available.@VJ

You might want to call and figure out what’s going on. At least that’s a starting pointWhatever you buy, either ur payment gets declined or it went through, there is always a transaction code. Which is why I believe that they never actually processed anything, but kept it aside for review or Identity verification or error department. I build softwares so I know how algorithms work

Here is my theory based on my experience
Folks who filled early 2/12-2/16 were randomly selected for Id verification or review which is why we have is still being processed on WMR which means the returns never made it to the master file. Under cycle there is a number , we don’t have one because the master file didn’t have any which is why when the computer processes returns and search for our returns our previous year As of dates updates to 2021@Zee
Sometimes 05 updates daily, but WMR for weekly’s are Saturdays which is why if your bar disappeared, it probably did on a Saturday. But for transcript i would say daily overnight. But Tuesday it is a mass update@cj
If you check your previous Tax years under cycle you will see a number . Watch out for the last two digits

But if you don’t have a cycle date for 2021, it means that your return has not been added to the master file hence not processed. N/A means it hasn’t been processed@Drew

We are in the same timeline. The timing at which we will process is psychological, but please believe that it will process during the next updateFriends do not stress on access date, whenever your return is accessed , the As of date updates, if it moves forward with no codes or cycle , it means the computer couldn’t process it. If your As of date moves backward , it is because of them accessing the stimulus information on your account.

It means your 2020 has processed, and your return is probably adjusted.
This is bullshit. The Tax Advocate called me back and said They are no longer able to assist with my kind of cases. She said my stimulus payment is what is holding me back. I had a baby in 2020 and TT automatically entered $1,100. Then she told me to continue to call the IRS so they can give More details about my situation

It means the computer will try again to process your return , if your return is error free, you should update next week, if not the Computer will extend the As of date to 04/06Transcript is down, possibly an update.
Just contacted my Tax advocate, and my case was completed yesterday. Irs hold removed. Hoping for a DDD soonThe best way to contact an advocate is through office of the congressman. 2019 transcript As of date should not be changing, but if it does to 03/29/2021, it means the computer couldn’t find a 2020 1040 and run through the 2019, extending it 7 days to see if the 2020 will be made available error free.
I don’t work for the irs , but at this point is ideal to call the Tax advocate or else if the computer can’t process it again by next week, it will move from 03/29 to 04/06
I also have As of date moved to 03/29.
Have said it on here that the As of date will keep on extending, if the computer can’t process it. That means a problem not a movement. I build softwares , I know the algorithms when I see it

Even WMR originally said they accpeted it 2/12 when I had bars.I believe some do have this issues, but as they get to speak to a rep, it will be brought to their attention that it is not yet 21 days , and the date the irs actually accepted the returns will be made known to em
My Tax advocate said it usually takes a week from case completion to receive refunds .
Remember TA can expedite your refunds. I will give updates as soon as I get em. I pray that we all get our returns before the $1400 start going out.UPDATE:

The thing is, I was told I was accepted on 2/22 by HRB in an email and this now says I was accepted 3/5.My take is irs backlog some returns and didn’t actually accept your return u ntil 03/05. You really want to put a call through and know when they actually accepted as your 21 days would start counting from there

Tax software do not have access to WMR, they only tell you the last update they got after processing your tax.@Tai

I believe it hasn’t processed yet, As of date is a date the computer has to process it, like a deadline.UPDATE : The only movement you will see on your transcript is the extension of the AS OF DATE, which means that the computer has set aside to come back and try to process it 12 days before e the AS OF DATE. It an algorithm, most people are stuck with As OF DATE. If you have ever tried getting your money with stripe, but your refund date keep extending. It is the same algorithm. Please contact your congressman now
UPDATE : Transcript won’t update until your return has been processed. If you can prove hardship, get in touch with your congressman for a tax advocate. Tax advocate an acess your return and see the main issue with it.
By law irs has a week to either accept or reject the docs sent by the advocate, if they do accept, it will take 2 -3 weeks from the date of acceptance.
The downside is irs will tell you to contact your advocate, it is better than being stuck for months.@Tai

I really don’t want to say turbo tax had any thing to do with the problems we are all facing, but I believe most people that filed with turbo tax are facing the same bars disappearing issue@zee
If there is something wrong, it is protocol for em to send a letter, but if nothing is wrong it should process.
Bear in mind that you can talk to 3 different people and hear 3 different things. But if your state rings up for identity verification, from experience the federal has a 0.9 probability of ringing up too@zee
Yes the federal and state work together for identity verification issues. It happened to me . Last week submitted documents for state and was approved 2 days later and I got the state refunds. But with federal because of less staffing, it takes time.Same problem with my wife and I , her bars just disappeared yesterday, mine has disappeared since feb 17th. Filed with turbo tax. It is an identity verification issue. You can get an advocate to fasten your refund or else it might be not be looked up into. As a software engineering student if a date keeps moving forward ( AS Of date) it means the computer can’t process it immediately due to algorithms that have flagged the return for possible issues.
@Whitwhit I pray for you too my friend, with the new stimulus bill soon to be passed, I hope this hold doesn’t make us not receive it. That’s what worry me the most. Just have faith
