@Lane @Chrissy90
So happy for you guys!! I kept checking back on this thread after I finally received my refund and praying for you both. This has definitely been a long road for us all! So glad the end is in sight for you both now. ❤️❤️
You should have an update soon then!! Even though I knew updates on transcripts were only Fridays and WMR on Saturdays for us- I still checked daily too; sometimes so many times daily that WMR would make me wait until the next day to check again. 🤷♀️ In the end I do realize I was just driving myself crazy. Same with calling the 800#. I would still call a couple times a week even though I knew they were just making up information.
I know it is SO frustrating to get different information every other day. I did so much research trying to find any loophole possible to get mine processed. Through my research I did find that since our information was faxed to a processing department that our “cycle code” is 05 meaning transcript updates are only on Fridays. I used to drive myself bonkers checking them every day though. WMR is also only updated for us on Saturdays. We are considered “weekly”.
I never heard the August 1st date from anyone at the IRS. However I was told by multiple agents at the 800# that the processing departments hadn’t opened yet. I got different information each time I called. I was told by one agent the UT processing department was closed until 8/12. Obviously that wasn’t true because I did receive my refund last Wednesday. Filed 2/5. Faxed 3/5.
The TC 971 & 570 is a freeze on your refund and notification sent. I was told that the freeze is just to verify the amount of your refund and notification sent is a letter explaining why your refund amount was changed (from insurance paperwork being received). Mine did the same. Check transcripts this Friday and your freeze will be lifted and a direct deposit date will show up. On Saturday WMR will update to read the same date. Your DDD will be next Wednesday.
@Hope
Next Friday the transcript will update with an actual direct deposit date. Then next Saturday your WMR will update. And then on Wednesday your refund will be direct deposited.
@Hope
Look at the transcript below the return transcript. You will either see a tax code 971 or 846. 846 code will have a direct deposit date beside it and 971 will read letter issued; this code means they have mailed you a letter explaining why the amount changed (insurance paperwork faxed) and refund will be in 10 days.
Saying a special prayer for all of you still waiting on your refund tonight. I hope each of you wake to find updated transcripts that read a DDD!
Sorry it was Melissa87 and Chrissy90. Also a Crystal from NC updated last week with a DDD for this week. @Lane you will be soon! One of the names above faxed on 3/2 and I was 3/5 so maybe 2-3 days worth of faxes are being processed weekly. Not great numbers but hopefully gives you some idea!
@Lane
Yes! I believe another SC person that faxed to Utah has the same DDD. Maybe melissa83 or something similar… she posted on here Thursday of last week that her transcripts updated & she could see a DDD date.
@Lane
✋ I faxed to Utah and WMR updated on 7/18. Refund is supposed to be deposited tomorrow. 🤞 I faxed on 3/5.
@Lane
Thank you! I pray you wake up to an update. I hope all of us see an end to this nonsense soon.
@Lane
Definitely keep the hope alive! When my transcripts updated last Friday I was hoping for a direct deposit date on this past Wednesday. But was told when I called on Monday they are holding for one week to determine interest. Finally saw the direct deposit date today. Interest was only a few dollars over $100. I would much rather have received my refund in March than get this little interest!
Filed 2/5. Faxed forms to Ogden, UT on 3/5. Last Friday 7/10 all transcripts updated with an “as of date 7/27” and non-filer letter replaced with actual transcript. Refund Total adjusted to include insurance difference but no interest. WMR never updated. This morning transcripts updated with an “as of date” August 3 and FINALLY shows a direct deposit date of 7/22!! WMR reads still processing. Live in SC. No TA or refaxing of forms. Interest added to refund total on today’s transcripts.
@jkwolf
Fax#: 800-829-0922 for Ogden, UT
@Lane
I never had an ‘as of date’ of April 27. My wage and income transcript was updated back in May- each day I would check the date listed on that transcript would be the current date. The non-filer letter showed up on 6/17 & each day it would show the current date. The other two transcript types always showed N/A for 2019 for me until yesterday morning.@Lane
I was hoping all of SC would update together too! The good news is that the Ogden UT location our letter had us fax to is working again. Despite everyone at the IRS claiming they are still closed. I faxed on 3/5 and some others that faxed the same day updated last week so I was feeling cheated. I never faxed again, contacted congressman or sent info to TA so I was pleasantly surprised this morning. Saying a prayer for all of us to finally have our money!
@CEV
Ugh! Sorry to hear your non-filer letter is still there. I fully expected to see mine again this morning when I checked but all my transcripts that had read N/A were now updated. The amount mine reads includes the difference of the 1095/8962 but no interest. If my WMR updates tomorrow I will let you know.
My transcripts updated and the non-filer letter is gone. I have an “as of July 27” date. WMR not updated yet. I guess I was confused because the as of date was listed on my return transcript- I thought that was my DDD date.
Filed 2/5. Faxed to Ogden, UT 3/5. Transcripts all updated this morning with a 7/27 refund date. WMR reads “still processing”. I live in SC.
Still mind boggling to me that a Walmart cashier or local exterminator is considered “essential” but the IRS wasn’t? 🤷♀️
Worthless TA in Atlanta, GA assigned to me in SC said the processing department in Ogden, UT where the letter told me to fax is still closed. Filed 2/5. Faxed forms & received confirmation 3/5. Still processing… No transcript update and non-filer letter still showing. TA told me that I could call back on 8/12. Beyond frustrating! I hung up on her she was so rude. So much for the idea of getting a TA to “help” get the forms processed.
Most definitely! I wanted to avoid the whole advocate & congressman route but all these others are being processed on top of mine. The guy I spoke to this evening was nice. He said he could see my paperwork was received from 3/5 fax, that I called 5/17 then again on 6/18. He said no reason for me to keep waiting- might as well go the advocate route too. I just hope it doesn’t slow anything down- once you have an advocate an IRS rep can’t help.
Filed 2/5; faxed and received confirmation of forms 3/5. Still processing. Every time I call the IRS number listed on the letter I get a different answer- no progress. others contact an advocate or congressman that submitted after me then receive a DD date. Tired of waiting and being overlooked I just called the Tax Advocate hotline. They processed an E911 form for me & said I should hear back in 3-5 business days when I will be given a case#. being patient wasn’t getting me anywhere.
@CEV
No changes for me either. I was hopeful all week that we could possibly see an update on Friday since the others updated last Friday. Next Friday is a Holiday so now I am looking towards 7/10 for an update.
I feel you! I don’t understand why a cashier at Walmart is considered “essential” but the IRS was closed during tax season. 🤷♀️
On Monday Trump told a reporter that we will be getting another stimulus and it will be “generous”. So once the IRS starts working on those again- our refunds will be pushed out again. Filed 2/5 and faxed with confirmation received 3/5.
@CEV congratulations! Still no update for me. Filed 2/5 and faxed documents 3/5. I still see the letter reading I didn’t file in 2019. Wage & Income documents updated 2-3 weeks ago with complete info.
@jwk
Mine hasn’t updated! If you read a few posts below mine- others received a DD today. One for 6/24.
I am definitely happy for everyone that now has a DD date but at the same time a little irritated that some who submitted & faxed after me (2/5 & 3/5) are being updated before mine. Happy for you guys but angry with IRS!
Again this morning I spoke to a rude unhelpful agent that again provided different information. This agent explained the processing center has been closed since 3/20/20 and has not been given a return to work date. She said this information was given to her in Philadelphia on Tuesday via Skype- they are being told to tell everyone that calls to just continue to wait and give the offices time to return to work through the backlog. No end in sight…😢
I got the same notification on my transcripts today. I called the number and they were no help!
Read the comments again. We are talking about a refund from TT for the fees for processing the taxes; not the federal income tax refund.
When you call TT ask to speak with Princetta Avant Supervisor, TurboTax Product Support and she will process your refund. It takes 8weeks but they did mail my refund. She was very apologetic and said it was their fault.
@Lane
No updates for me! Faxed forms on 3/5. Talked to IRS rep on Monday that confirmed paperwork was received and told me to wait another 4weeks before calling back; he wasn’t in the department that processes the paperwork and said he couldn’t transfer me. Wage & Income transcript updated on Sunday but doesn’t show my mortgage interest yet. I compared it to 2018 transcript and that is all I saw missing.
My wage and income documents updated yesterday morning and I did not file for unemployment. WMR reads “still processing”
Spoke to Princetta A at TT on 4/27 and was refunded TT processing fees. She offered to cover any overdraft charges also but I didn’t have any.
