Was able to retrieve both transcripts 1/29, but woke up to a wmr update 1/30 saying the IRS needs additional info to process my return and they will be sending me a notice in the mail. Now my anxiety has hit the roof because I can’t afford to wait for them to take their sweet time to approve my refund. I know all info was correct on tax return so this is gonna drive me nuts until resolved…. ?

in in the same boat….. i filed on 1/17 accepted 1/19 ordered account transcripts on wed… but still no return as of 30 min ago. will they update tonight( saturday) ? or are we out of luck till wed the 3rd?

Oops forgot to put I was able to order both trans yesterday about a hour apart account first then about a hour later return snd I had a new address hope this helps

I don’t believe it “speeds” the process. But it is an indicator that taxes are processing and/or “done” and ready to be disbursed.

I’m curious. I’ve read thru the comments and see many speak of ordering transcripts, which seems to speed the process in which you get your ddd. How do I order them, and what type of transcript(s) should I asked for if I have to call?

I’m pretty much a lurker, but I’ve been a member since 2012. I rarely post but This year the IRS is BONKERS. TOO much chatter on the main screen, we need a spot where we can find info QUICKLY. PLEASE POST YOUR INFO HERE!!!

The transcript theory has proven true but somewhat different this year. Prior years once you could access your acct. you updated with a DDD the next day. This year you need both seems like. Please update the rest of us once you are approved and/or able to order both trannys.

Called… lady said I was resequenced for some reason also told me in their system (said she’d never seen this before put me on hold and told me i was accepted 1/20) the morning after is when I was able to request my acct tranny.

So far everyone I’ve seen post yesterday with both trannys posted today saying they updated to a DDD.

PLEASE POST YOUR INFO W/ FILING DATE, SOFTWARE USED, DATE ACCEPTED, DATE ABLE TO ORDER ACCT AND/OR RETURN TRANNY, DATE WMR UPDATED, DDD DATE.

@Feda – You most likely have entered the wrong numbers, or they sent you a paper check due to potential fraud. They typically only do that as a security measure.

My bar did disappear on the WMR tool, and I was very scared because I read a million different things on why this could have happened. I woke up this morning and my bar is back with two orange bars and a DDD of 2/3. So if yours disappears too, stop worrying!! Your refund will be there any day!!!

EVERYONE CALM DOWN THESE ISSUES HAVE HAPPENED EVERYONE YEAR SINCE THE IRS TOOK AWAY RAL LOANS AND GUARANTEED DE POSITION TIMES. last year was a mess for me no updates of any kind and I was an early filer. I recieved my deposit after hearing nothing on 1/29 of last year. I woke up this morning with a DDD of 2/3. SBTG still has not updated and I’m really hoping it’s because it’s saturday. I’ve used turbo tax for 2 years but have changed bank accounts . This year took the longest to get a DDD and I have no funds yet. I believe this whole more information thing is because we are required to put in our drivers liscence numbers for identity. It seems those who did not do that are the ones receiving the more info letters. I’m sorry for everyone going through this shit I was and still am right there with you. Hang tight yall… and seriously reconsider being an early filer next year. I efiled with Taxact 1/23..approved same day…I received my dd of 2/3 last night. I was looking at my return and for some reason my routing and account number was left off when Taxact submitted my return..will they just send a check since there isn’t any account information? If so will it be sent on the date I was given for dd? Thanks in advance for any help.

@dj I had the same message as the others. . I called. It now only gives a phone number and ext. to call. Doesn’t even read my social, refund amount back to me for verification like it used to. On another thread a few people (including me) have new babies this year… do the people in this thread have that in common as well?

This is crap. I just want to know that it’s approved. I can wait for the money, I’m just stressed that there’s an issue with my return that will take forever to fix. I’ve never had a problem before.

I have the same thing, but filed and accepted 1/25. I think it’s just a sign that they’re doing something with your account because I’ve had this happen to me almost every year. I’ve had quick returns like 7-8 days and I’ve had returns take months, like into July with the same message

2015 I did same thing was put back into the mix after their glitch last year.
Got the 2112 or whatever code
I moved from Ohio to Florida so was worried about different addresses.
But whew …I think it was 2/24 I got a deposit last year .. I was able to order both transcripts thurs morning ..and got the thank you letter from turbo tax like Tuesday . Not sure if that has anything to do with anything .
Thank god I wish the best for all of you still waiting I know the feeling and I better not be stupid enough to file early next year ….

in previous years we could read our transcripts online and get our ddd before wmr would update.

This year they only allow mailing of them. The theory behind it is, if you can get your account transcript that means they are actually in the process of processing them or have processed them so your info is available. If you can also get your return transcript it should mean your done processing and have been approved for a ddd. So long story short, if you can order both you should have a ddd at the next wmr update, if not you won’t. But the ability to order one lets you know stuff is moving :)

“We cannot provide any information about your refund.
Please allow at least 4 weeks from the date you mailed your return to get information about your refund.”

What does this mean? Is there a way I can speed this up?
Any info would be of great help. I filed on the 14th, got accepted same day. Have had 1 bar the entire time and no offsets. Was able to order my transcripts the other day for my account. Now, I cannot order anything. Extremely frustrating. I have to now wait until Monday to call anyone.

It’s looking good cause the irs is finally updating there site…. I have two bars and ddd now. I been waiting since Jan 11 2016. And I filed with hr block.. My brother get his refund with one bar and this morning he looked to see if the bars moved and he has 3 bars now. So u can get ur refund soon.. Just check back Monday morning… Irs updates between 3am and 6am… I hope u all get luck soon..

If u do not get an offset amount and date they will be applying it from our probably means they have not finished processing your return. When I called it told me my amount and date of my return it was applied from. This morning I got two bars on wmr with ddd of the same date the offset line gave me

I e-filed with TT on 01/07 and was accepted 01/11. I ordered both transcripts yesterday and now it’s saying they need more info. I though if you ordered the transcripts you were already approved.

I also found this code this morning!
I have no dependants, job is the same, address is the same, nothing has changed from last year or the year before.
Filed and accepted the 22nd. I had a single bar since then until this morning.

I even used my drivers information to verify my identity.. This code makes no sense in my case.
The 152 refund code is still there as well.

Got this from IRS code manual

9001 – Taxpayer accessed Refund Status using a secondary TIN. Refund Status could not be returned. Get a Primary TIN Analyze account and follow appropriate IRM.

I never tried to check it under any other social, I called the IRS WMR phone number and it doesn’t give me ANY info, just tells me to call number with extension. Makes no sense.

Sorry we all have to go through this. I have been patiently waiting but now I am worried and frantic.

Woke up to still one bar. I filed with h&r block on 1/20 was accepted 1/22. I was able to order my account transcript but not my return transcript. It seems to be taking longer this year to get refunds. Wish my ddd would show soon. At least than I’ll have a piece of mind knowing that is progressing and will know about when my refund will be received.
