States are faster this year. I never get my michigan before my federal (last year was a fl u ke, I filed bankruptcy, and unemployment still took my federal, they gave it back in early March after I filed an adversary claim with bk court ND they were ordered to return it)

I just checked michigan and it was approved with a dd of 2/3. And still nothing on feds.

I think many of us have this sorted out now. I filed early like many of you and it felt like a very long time BUT with the IRS not processing until the 19th, we added a week to our wait time. I was a little nervous also, but reading that many people were also worried helped.
Filed 1/7, accepted 1/11. Wmr stayed at 1 bar for a dreadfully long time. On the 29th I was able to order transcripts (both) and yesterday my wmr moved to approved and a dd date of 2/3. I was hoping for last Friday, but even though I filed early, I still ended up in the 2nd batch. My ss last number is a 2 so I really think there isn’t much to that theory. Anyone without a ddd who filed early through the 19th, I’d assume Friday (2/5) for a ddd. Check to see if transcripts are ready and if they are, I think you’re on your way. Happy refund spending to you all!

My tax refund was accepted by the IRS on the evening of 1/29/16, as of today when I check the status on WMR it say my info is entered incorrectly, I double checked the information before entering it, so i know i am entering the correct social security number, filing status and amount. I figured because I was accepted on a Friday night the system may not have updated, Has this happened to anyone else?

I also filed on 1/16 was accepted on 1/19 wmr 1 bar, was able to order account transcripts but no return transcripts. I’m hoping we hear something soon I usually get my $$$ on 2/5 every year without wmr moving to return approved, I will keep y’all updated.

I am thinking that it will update this week,. I know its an old wives tale but my mother in law used to tell us if your left hand itched that you were going to get money. You were supposed to scratch it on wood, spit on it and stick it in your pocket. As broke as we have been, yes we do this and yes it works LOL. I just have a feeling that ours will update Monday morning. I mean we have to realize something, there are ALOT of people right now filing taxes. Yes I got mine super fast last year. I actually got mine before anything updated on WMR.
We filed last year on 1/20, accepted the same date and was sitting at Wal-Mart on 1/26 picking out some new things. I kept checking it everyday to see when our date was going to show up, it never did. I got depressed just like I do every year and worried because I have obligations riding on the money and it still came through.
I just have a feeling about Monday Morning.

Also I live in KY, if anyone else in KY has gotten a DDD please post it. My TT page says 1% have received their money already. They are just taking it a bit slower this year than previous years. We will get it, I Just have a good feeling about Monday.

The exact same thing happened to me. Friday my bars were gone. Naturally I panicked and checked the forum for some news but got totally confused.

Saturday I had 2 bars with a due date of 2/3

I’m not positive but I bet you have your bars back tomorrow with a DDD.

I got the same thing on mine this morning still…I am really hoping it is just a system thing…I mean if I am being reviewed…nothing we can do about it and yes I get it when I call WMR hotline and/or check it online. It seems everyone has a different answer as to why it happens, but seems that many of us filed our taxes within the first week or so

Every morning I check WMR when I wake up and every morning I get disappointed when no DDD shows. My co-worker also filed 1/23 and yesterday morning she woke up to a DDD of 2/3.

I filed on the 17th n my return was accepted on the 19th wmr only shows one bar and sbtpg had a ddd of 2-9-16 now its gone what does that mean

Its the 2015 return transcript you want to go through. Once you can order your return 2015 transcript then you know that your ddd is on its way. Glitches in system do it over the phone. Google IRS transcript number and the phone number will pop up.

Everyone just have to remain calm and patient I filed the 15th was accepted the 15th I have received my state but no Federal. I believe it’s just a longer process this year it’s a Waiting Game. The day u decide not to check WMR is the day it will be a DDD

Ok guys, I have spent like 15 hours researching this. In many cases it is for EIC and u have to prove ur dependents live with u and the relationship. But in other cases ppl made errors that changed their rerund. U forgot to add income and it changed the amount, some ppl forgot to file papers. Basically they changed ur refund some way and u either have to prove something, fix something, they changed something, ect. Please come back here and update when u find out what it is to help ppl in the future, bc I have found most ppl post they got it, but not many update, so it’s hard to find much info. In the EIC cases, some ppl wait 30 days,others never got theirs, so we will just have to be patient until we know. I personally have made myself sick worrying about taxes, and when I got the review code, I lost it, so I do know how u feel. Just prey for simple math mistakes. For anyone claiming like newphews, ect. U will need the child’s parents birth certificate, the child birth certificate, and urs so u can show the connection, u will also need school, doctor, or daycare ppls to show u shared the same address.

To everyone that has lost your bars…try ordering your return transcripts for 2015. If it goes through you will have a DDD soon !! WMR does not always work. The online transcript service from IRS has a ton of glitches this year so do it over the phone. In the meantime IM ASSUMING SBTG is off on the weekend because they have yet to receive anything for me. DDD of 2/3 and my refund was approved on a Friday afternoon :-/ grateful but Im just like really? Last year I had no movement of any kind at all anywhere then magically on the 29th I was approved money sent to sbtg and put in my account. Anyone here know if SBTG works on weekends?

Hey guys, So I have been a pure spectator for about 5 days and you all who gave useful information have been very helpful.
After day two I just patiently waited.
I filed 1/7/16
accepted 1/13/16
DDD date came 1/30/16 ( for 2/3/16)

I called for my transcripts (1-800-829-3676) 1/29/16
called to see if i have offsets ( which i doubted but wanted to make sure) (1800-304-310) didn’t have any.

After all of this i came to realize that I will probably not file early EVER again, this was my first and LAST time. Also, I don’t think there is a specific order in which DDD days are given.

So this is why I believe Tay. After getting my info I decided to google where PAPER tax returns were sent. Assuming that both paper and efile returns were processed in the same place. There was a place in California and North Carolina but the majority of them were sent to KANSAS CITY MISSOURI! I then Googled “Kansas City Missouri Snow” and checked the news tab and seem that they were hit with a bad snow storm around the time IRS stated taking returns, and another is on the way.

Now, for those saying “Well some people still got updates during this time.” That is true, but didn’t a lot of you say this year has been taking LONGER than in previous years? Maybe that’s because when the snow hit though the IRS didn’t shut down their office(of if they did it was for one day) people WERENT COMING INTO WORK in the snow! Like your refund may be important to YOU but unfortunately not to these workers. They’re not gonna risk their lives just to come to work and process your return cause if they get hurt in the snow then what’s gonna happen?(BTW that’s my actual spewl to my co workers when they asked me to work in the snow. Lol. Minus the tax return stuff.

I’m sure they’re working to make up for lost time so just stay PATIENT! Your DDD will come.

Same message this morning. Bummer. But I’m do think it’s just a glitch. On Facebook I can see that happened to groups of people for the last 3 years and the majority got their refund in a week, people were told they were backed up when they called IRS. Hopefully tomorrow it will go away. Happy Sunday!
