I filed with Tax Act: accepted 1-20, one bar, can only order account transcript as of 10 min ago. I had an offset for the 2014 tax season and I’ve heard that can cause a delay with processing for the next couple of years. Last year it took almost 2 weeks to get 2 bars and I got my money a few days later. So Im thinking my offset from 2014 will raise flags again this year :(

Yes @Tamika but from what I’ve been told you need to be able to order Return transcripts as well. Everyone is saying when you can order both you will receive a DD date the next day.

I called the offset hotline to make sure my refund would not be offset and I get the message that “no non tax debt is found with my ss#”
What does this mean exactly? Is my refund safe?

I’m an early filer and I have a DDD for the 3rd. What I’m wondering is my boyfriend filed and was accepted the same exact days I was. But the bars for him on WMR have disappeared with no code and saying that a DDD would be posted once available. I’ve seen that this is happening to many other people on here, so it’s got me thinking that maybe it’s just part of the process and you all will have an update in the morning. Granted it’s nerve wracking and I’m not liking it one bit, we are all at the mercy of the all mighty IRS lol I just hope they get off their rocking horse soon and approve you all, good luck I’ll do some researchto see if there’s a reason behind all this and share it with you all

Oh yeah I need to add my bars also disappeared at midnight on 1/29-1/30 and I woke up to 2 bars on 1/30. You most likely will wake up tomorrow or Tuesday morning with a ddd. It’s coming though.

now for the rest if u guys concern about the bars disappearing that happened to me they were gone for 2 days and on the second night which was the past thursday i was able to order both my transcript i could only order one prior to that so i order them both thursday night and got approved on friday morning for 2/3 good luck for all of u having simillar problem it will be just fine

OK, I filed on the 11th, got accepted on the 13th… Was wondering what was going on as well. Friday the 29th I was finally able to order transcripts… SATURDAY the 30th, I woke up with a ddd of 2/3… I have spoke with a guy from the irs and was informed that they are a bit behind but most people whole filed the 19th and before will have their $$ by the 5th. I for the longest was worried sick but this guy helped calmed me down and he also informed me that because they are behind that they are working on Saturdays.. They are not open or working on Sunday’s tho… If u didn’t see an update b

Refund wanter is a scammer of some sort. That is why I haven’t apologized. He keeps asking for email addresses and that is the first sign of something fishy. Why can’t you post the information here like everyone else. He wants your email address to steal information from you( most ppl give personal information when signing up for an account). After someone had your email address is pretty easy to hack it, I’m not anyone special and have been able to do it myself. Plz don’t feed into him with sending emails, this sort was created to post information to help each other out. That’s what I have done, but he needs you to email him, why? Think about it ppl, I don’t think anyone here it’s gullible enough to listen to him.
As far as real information. I filed on 1/5 with free tax USA was accepted on 1/12 with one bar on wrm. Was able to order both transcripts on 1/29 then on 1/30 I received an update on wrm with 2 bars and a ddd of 2/3. I bank with Wells Fargo and was told they expect to receive and release my deposit on 2/1 because they don’t hold funds.

no bars after having one for a day or say, the “your tax return is still being processed and a date will be given when available” message is still there.
no refund amount.

but it seems like every day it changes a couple times throughout the day the ability to order transcripts from prior years keeps coming and going.

haven’t been able to order anything using my current address, but every now and then when I check, I can use my previous address and get access to the transcripts menu, unable to order anything for this year.

Hey y’all. I think that for all of us whose bars of disappeared and it says that the direct deposit date will be there when it’s available I should be getting an update on Monday my aunt works for the IRS or previously did and she told me that they only update on the weekdays not on the weekends. But even though you may have got notification on January 30th they process that on Friday so I guess we’ll all be waiting until Monday and crossing our fingers and praying that God’s blessings rain down on us. Laughing but very serious!

As far as I can tell on last year transcript I had cycle 20150402 so that means I posted on Monday I ordered transcript Tuesday approved Wednesday got $ Friday . Filed 1/19 accepted 1/20 ordered account transcript 1/29 no return yet but I strongly believe we will see updates Monday or Tuesday for transcript approval Wednesday money Friday even the refund schedule say by February 5 we are not do yet if we are not updated yet then we can really worry I know I will I need and want my money to….. have been stressing to but this morning I thought about it and it is on schedule.

Does anyone know if sbtpg, processes on weekends???? I filed with tt on 01/18, accepted on 01/19, then approved yesterday 01/30 with DDD of 02/03… I use a NetSpend card for my deposits and normally receive deposits 2 days early so with it being a weekend, I’m wondering if I will receive 02/01?????

Read so many different post’s about reasons and it boiled down to 1. Delay , 2. Review 3. If theft or 4. Glitch

If it is true that early filers are being held back, that’s not right. I filed with TA on the 15th because that’s when I had time to do it. I was under the assumption that they would hold it until the 19th when I was told the IRS was accepting returns. If the IRS was accepting returns early as a test batch for THEIR system. Then they in turn are going to punish those early filers that they needed for their test. That is total bullshit.

I efile with tax act on 1/19, was accepted on 1/21. It sat in being processed until 1/27. On 1/28 the top status bar vanished and I got this code. I always file early and never had an issue. No changes this year either. I’m hoping it will update soon, my tranny died. I researched and found some ended up under review, some needed I’d verification and some still have not gotten there refund from last year. I am a worried mess, I need my car for my disabled son.:(

I filed with taxact on 01/09. Accepted 01/13.. No movement on WMR until last night when my bars disappeared and a message stating a DDD will be provided when available. I’m hopeful that I will get my DDD Monday , this way at least I would know everything is good. I was only able to order my account transcript not my return transcript. I dont think it’s a problem with Taxact I believe it has to do with this IRS hold pattern for early filers. Basically us early filers are dropping in as the people who filed on time get processed. Makes perfect sense since we are seeing a lot of people accepted on or after the 19th with dates and or their refund already.

I have this same issue currently. Be prepared to wait. I am not sure if I had the 9001 reference on WMR last year or not, I didn’t bother looking much as I knew I would likely have an issue due to my ex illegally claiming our son every year, last year he was allowed to claim him (court order; we had it set up for alternating years). However, he is not allowed to claim HOH/EIC, EVER, as he has every other weekend visitation and it is illegal for him to claim that, regardless of any court orders or anything else, even if I wanted him to (I do not, just stressing my point) he can’t, period.

At any rate, I am allowed to file HOH/EIC for the years he can claim for child credit or what not with me changing return those years to list our son as a qualifying dependent. Prior to last year, my return is pretty much identical every year. I believe last year that change triggered a flag. (I also think his dad may have tried claiming HOH/EIC, but I don’t know for sure, I do known he is not supposed to be able to file anything in regard to our son without a form 8332 with my signature giving him permission to do so, which he did not have, although I offered several times).

Long story a little shorter (this post is crazy looong, sorry about that), I had to ID verify via phone, as a lot of others also had to do, and upon doing so I should have received my refund in 6 weeks. It should be noted that I was accepted on 1/28, the IRS did not send ID Verify letter until March (I never had a clue whether anything was wrong as prior to receiving said letter nobody I spoke with at IRS mentioned a thing about it or any problems/issues at all) and did not receive my refund in 6 weeks, I did not receive my refund until the end of MAY. It was a nightmare, as I really needed the money to fix my car so I could continue to have any income from working.

This year, I changed my return back to as it was the years prior to last year when ex was allowed to file for the credit, listing our son as a dependent and not just a “qualifying dependent.” Perhaps that flagged my return, perhaps my ex claimed our son illegally (it would not surprise me, as no laws apply to him in his eyes), maybe the issue from last year triggered something, who knows? I certainly do not.

Point being, whatever the reason is doesn’t matter, a flag must have been triggered again for something, and I have no illusions that this year will be any different from the last. It is not a glitch that will clear up with an update, there is a slim chance it is nothing for some people, but majority of us will be waiting awhile before seeing our money. I assume a number of people will verify and get refund 6 weeks later, but I think a number of us will be waiting until May or so.

I hope this is not the case, but after last year I have a hard time believing that. I know this info is a downer, but better to be prepared for it. I hope I will be proven wrong and I welcome any updates and will be following this thread. I pray what happened to me last year does not happen to any of you (or me) this year. But I have no hope that will be the case.

So I just called the NJ refund hotline for state taxes and the hotline gave me a ddd. NJ taxes have always taken forever but this is the first time I got a ddd for state before my federal. So being that my state got approved where the hell is my federal approval. Better be seeing it soon!! I’m thinking everyone who filed the week of the 20th or before will see updates this week.

@crystal you wont see a friday ddd until the 1/11-1/29 thats due this week for their ddd. Its funny too because this year seems like im seeing alot of dailys turning wklys and vice verse smh like seriously I.R.S what type of menage a trois ya’ll having with our returns ROTFL?. But any who i used to always get approved on the weekends hence (fri/sat am) and when i didnt get a ddd or order trannys i was kinda anxious because i was weekly for years now im on the daily sequence any update this wk will be followed by a 2 day grace period of havin you refund now weekly ppl (dependin on your bank) get their refund 4 days pior to a ddd.

For those that are wondering if the hold up may have something to do with Tax Act, you may be correct. I also used TA filed and accepted 1/15 been one bar since. But if the problem was Tax Act, you would think it would show up on the state return also. I have had my state return back since 1/27/16. I really think the “problem” is the IRS. But if you think about it. If they started all returns on the 19th and we get our money by 2/5. That really isn’t too bad.

So I filed on the 19th, late at night, accepted on the 22nd, apparently. Only one bar. Received my state taxes already (I’m in Missouri). Just checked to see if I could order transcripts. I was able to order the account transcript, but not the return transcript. What does that mean? Am I looking at a ddd of 2/1, 2/3, 2/5, or worse? Last year I got my taxes back the last Friday of January. That’s came and went this go round. Last year the pizza tracker didn’t update until my refund had been issued. Would feel better if I just knew when it was coming.

Just tried to order by phone and also got the message about technical difficulties like the rest of you.
Hoping those technical difficulties are a good thing and they have all of our return transcripts but the system is down lol.
