Andrea my situation is exactly like yours. I too filed 11 Jan and was accepted by the IRS on 12 Jan. I also woke up to no bars on the same day as you with the standard statement that a refund date will be provided when available and the standard code of 152. I have no offsets so far. As of this morning still no change in WMR. Wondering why the heck it is taking so long as it never took this long for all the years I have filed early.

Just wondering if any of us 05 people got approved yet. According to the charts we should be process I g this week. So weird enough if Thursday is their first day to process for the week, i lost my bars and topic code this past Thursday. Which also seems to be the first day for 05 processing. Just wondering if any of 05 people in the same situation still or have you had movement. Also. I could order my account transcript but not return on Thursday also.

I call irs and the lady said i didn’t even begin processing yet even tho I was accepted 11 I was recycled through and was just able to order account transcripts Sat. Makes total since making me believe I was. Really accepted thurs or friblast week. I would only worry if u have a diff code then 152

If u was accepted on the 19th then they have to give u a DDD this week. If u was accepted on the 19th, ur 21st day is the 9th. So therefore, if there’s nothing wrong with ur return, u should have a date this week in order to have ur refund in time. Make sense????

I hope the ppi who spoke to an IRS rep today were told the truth and that I am just stressing due to my experience with it last year!! Still, be prepared to wait. In my initial post I mentioned that last year I filed 1/28 and I called and was told there were no issues, delay process due to so many returns, random error code when system overload, etc. WHAT THEY TOLD ME WAS NOT THE CASE!!! I got no notice until end of March that anything else needed to be done and after I verified my ID I was told 6 weeks but I still got NOTHING until end of MAY.

I am praying, your updates give me hope, though, at least and I hope for all our sakes the reps have a clue as to what, if anything, is the issue.

I have a DDD as of 2/3 as well, but I wasn’t expecting to see anything until about 2/4–which is fine by me. I get my regular pay check that day as well. So I’m more than happy to wait. But it would be nice to have it sooner–we’ll see. So not stressing about it at this point.

Hey you guys, I just got off the phone with IRS rep I ask her where was she located she said in Massachusetts and that they were located all over the world so when you call you can get anybody anywhere. I just tried to start off the conversation friendly to get her to give me information since I has not been 21 days.

Here is the number you can call to get in “easy” 800-829-0582 #652. I told her a little fib that I got the code 9001 and wanted to know “why”, later in the conversation I realize she figured out I was fibbing because she told me my return was labeled “delay processing”. I ask what does that mean? She told me exactly this is what happened to all us early filers and 19th filers.

After I told her that HR Block submitted my return on the 7th but of course I know IRS did not “accept” it until 2pm on the 19th and that I read that a lot of people who filed on the 23-25 has already gotten their DDD’s before us. Now this is the scoop…

She said do you know over (2) millions taxpayers returns tried to upload on the system on the 1st day ALL at once? Our system is set up to only accept so many each day, if too many filers try to get thru, some will be pushed back until the next batch. Yours did not get thru so you were delayed and to give up another (2) weeks at least until the 23rd, if I don’t get in by then call then back. She also told me if I get another code, of course call back immediately to check it out. She knew I never got a code because I haven’t even been processed…lol.

She also gave me this scenario. She told me look at it like this, if 2 million people try to get on the same elevator at one time, some will not get in and will have to wait for another one. Now that made sense even tho I did not want to hear that I WAS THE UNLUCKY ONE WHO DID NOT GET IN…lol.

But I guess some of us just couldn’t make the cut-off….for that day. So lesson learned here guys…NEVER NEVER file early on on the opening day…she told me it is best to wait a day or two because each day the system can take a certain amount and those who did that got in with no problem…because ALL the people tried to get in on the FIRST DAY got screwed.

So don’t worry if you haven’t seen any movement, you just probably got
re- sequenced like me…pushed back to the next week cycle…smh.

I also mentioned I got my “account” transcript but was not able to get my “return” that did not seem to matter at all. If you are able to get your “account” transcript that means you have been processed but now is in line waiting to get in the next batch for DDD’s. If you get a code the please call them immediately to resolve the issue, which of course can push you back even further to get back in line…

So, just picture if you were going to a FREE concert and everyone was pushing and shoving to be the first to get in and the line was way around the corner for 100 blocks…now you guys know everyone will not make it in the gate…and some will be PISSED but nothing they can do about it but wait for the next show….that is where we are us early filers and 19ers…smh.

I feel better at least knowing the truth as to why I will be delayed…all good! I can say this they are answering the phones I got in on Friday and this morning with no problems and they are really nice and friendly at leas the guy I talk to on Friday and the lady this morning, they both actually researched my return but first tried to say it hasn’t been 21 one days, but of course I did not get in to hear that….I insisted they take a look to ease my mind…so don’t take NO for an answer….hehehehehhehhee…

I filed 1/28 and was accepted extremely fast (within the hour). Still on one bar, but last year I filed on 1/23 (a Friday) at 12:09 EST, was accepted about an hour later. Money was deposited in my account the next Friday (1/30). I believe I received the deposit before the system updated.

Crossing my fingers that the same thing happens this year! :)

i filed on 1/13 got accepted 1/14, still no information other than it got accepted on the 14th and is being processed, however people that got accepted at the end of the month will be receiving their refunds on the 3rd and 5th and something just doesn’t seem right about that. I know with filing early sometimes it can take barely over 21 days, but shouldn’t. Well all the info I see says the next release date is 2/5 which makes 22 days, when should i see a DDD since it has already been 18 days?

My sister filed on the 17th and was accepted the 19th and still only has one bar, and cant order transcripts because it says information is wrong.
I filed on the 22nd and still nothing, also cant order transcripts but it just says they aren’t available.
My mother filed on the 20th and it took away her bars last week and says its processing, no transcripts or anything available.
I know that they have their hands full, but I have never waited this long to hear something about my returns and it is frustrating. I would like to know about the extra processing process, though. Should my mom call them? She doesn’t want to but if its necessary then I guess she will have to… *shrug*

So I filed on the 19th, late at night, accepted on the 22nd, apparently. Only one bar. Received my state taxes already (I’m in Missouri). Just checked to see if I could order transcripts. I was able to order the account transcript, but not the return transcript. What does that mean? Am I looking at a ddd of 2/1, 2/3, 2/5, or worse? Last year I got my taxes back the last Friday of January. That’s came and went this go round. Last year the pizza tracker didn’t update until my refund had been issued. Would feel better if I just knew when it was coming. One would assume that since I got my state refund already that there is no delay to the federal right? Anyone else in my scenario?

So I got the message to call in to a service rep for GA. I called them last Monday and verified my name and address. Still have the same message on GA WMR and no money. I was accepted on the 20th. Should they really be taking this long?

I was actually able to order transcripts.. both return and account transcripts back on 1/29 and the next morning when I woke up, my DDD was for 2/3. Same with my sister. We filed on the same exact day. So chances are once you are able to access the return transcript, your DDD is on the way. And I read that if you are able to get your account transcript that your return is done processing–they just haven’t given a date yet…

I called to check my status this morning, it automatically sent me to the IRS and I just got off the phone. She basically said that the 9001 code didn’t mean anything unless you are contacted further by the IRS. They are adhering to the 3 weeks processing times and that my return was in the middle of processing. I asked about why a mass of us received the same code she said it could be they were all pulled for processing on the same date. So basically don’t freak out unless it’s past 21 days and you still have the same code or are contacted by the IRS which could take up to 4 weeks for them to even contact you.

I have Amex Bluebird, which is basically the same as Serve. I got my refund a day early last year ( but mine had to go to SBBT first) and I aleays get my paycheck 2 days early. So be hopeful!

@Tonya d Thank you for proving my point. People that feel the need to use profanity, or the acronym to represent profanity, on forums are usually unhappy, unsatisfied people who have little to no control in their real lives.

I suggest some remedial English courses, maybe a good GED program, and to work on getting a bit of self esteem. I know it’s hard for people like you who had a difficult childhood filled with parents (or parent, singular) who did not take the time to teach you manners and how to be a decent human being. I’m starting to think that the process goes from our situation to no bars and that message a lot of ppl confuse for an audit (manual review) and then approval with DDD. I just think the IRS has been more diligent with early filers this year. Can’t prove any of it, but I’m seeing a pattern. So hopefully you have no bars and/or you can order return transcript.
