I went through TaxAct, filed January 7th, rejected January 12th due to incorrect Pin, resubmitted on January 13th and accepted the same day. Last Thursday I attempted to order transcripts and was told that my information did not match, Friday morning I tried again and was successful at ordering my account and return transcript, as of Friday I still had one bar..I didn’t check the IRS website this weekend, but Monday (Yesterday) I no longer had any bars and I have a generic message ” Your return is still being processed, will provide date when available” and today same message. I can say after reading numerous threads and information something is definitely happening I am just nervous that there my be a delay due to identity verification, I’m seeing that some people who are at this point have contacted the IRS just to be told that they will have to verify their identity first and then processing will resume…Hopefully this will not affect us

Ok update. Sbtpg site says they received my refund and will be released to my netspend card. I called the sbtpg number and it says it wont be released til Feb. 3. Grrrr..so much for getting it early.At least I know its coming.

I personally think, bars for 29th filers will be updated tonight for the first batch and Friday for the last batch.

As I said in the other thread, every year republic bank taps my account with a faux deposit and 4 days later I have my $. I got tapped last night, so hoping for Friday DDD. I’m ok waiting until the 12 th, but the 5th would be nice :)

I also think the way they changed the transcripts this year is changing the reliability of them. I hate you can’t just view online, mine aren’t available but I’m not going to check anymore, maybe it makes more work for them since all have to be ordered through mail, idk, just speculation.

The phone number is on the back of the card. Walmart Moneycard has a few different versions, some with early deposit some with out. I have one with and last year I got it a day early on it, and 2 days early on my Bluebird that I split it among.

Did it take them a few minutes to look you up or just quickly told you it was processing? Also, do like a lot of us, call back at least (2) more times and talk to different IRS Reps and see if you get more additional information, keep asking them a lot of question, like I can order my account, why are people getting their returns that submitted after mines like 23-25? Why is it processing, is it delayed, do WMR update on Sun/Mon or just Tues – Sat for DDD’s…things like that…that way you will know for sure if you are just being told that or if they really see a delay hold….that is what I was told.

The rep actually tried to explain what was happening…she said, just picture 2 million people trying to get in the same elevator, all can’t fit so some will have to wait for the next one…uhmmmmm well that made a lot of sense…lol. So, I understood exactly what she was trying to get it…the gates opened up on the 19th and ALL those early filers plus 19ers exceeded the maximum limit the computer could process in a day…so we are the unlucky ones that did not make that first elevator…ugh. (smile).

If you don’t get any good news by Tuesday next week, call again.

Still can’t order return transcripts, but hoping for a WMR update tomorrow! Fingers crossed!! Last 2 yrs I was in the ’05’ cycle so hoping cycle is the same this year. Ive owed taxes from previous years more than once (with job changes hard to keep track of ALL w2’s lol) but its never delayed my refund. Filed 2nd wk Jan last yr, I believe, and THAT was a long wait!! Almost a full month wait! ugh That is why I waited til the 18th this year, accepted the 19th.

I’m still at one bar. I just spoke to my tax preparer at H&R Block and she informed me that they show scheduled deposits for tomorrow. However, I am not one of those because these are the folks that filed BEFORE 1/19 they selected some for their ” test batch” and they will be getting their refund tomorrow. She also stated they seem to be releasing funds for everyone 10-14 days after the official acceptance date of 1/19. Now, with that being said her statement basically contradicts itself with the 1/19 filers not getting their return tomorrow. Today would be 14 days for them if they include weekends. Does anyone know if they do in fact include weekends? Try not to stress too much. It’ll come all in due time. Hope everyone has a great day!!

I am in the same type of boat. I filed electronically via TurboTax, accepted on 1/19/2016, WMR is at 1 bar, tax topic 152. I was able to order my account transcript but it says tax transcript unavailable.

Last year I got my return surprisingly quickly. The year before I had to “verify my ID” and it took like 6 weeks.

What does the whole “Tax Topic” thing mean? I see people talking about topic 152.

I really hope this goes through soon for all of us.

@Ashley, great glad you got in, well I know they researched mines because it took them 10 minutes to come back and she said the same thing, it was processing and had a delayed processing code just waiting to get back in que…so don’t worry, I think yours will be next week if not sooner ok. The waiting is hard tho…I was expecting mines this Friday….I feel better just knowing that I have no flags, I can accept the delay….:-).

@Donjmjr Seeing people who filed and were accepted on that same / close date as you- and hearing that they TOO have not moved from one bar etc makes people feel better. It alleviates some concern when several people are in the same boat- so how about people continue to post whatever they want- and if you don’t want to read it you can log off this site? @Alicia It all depends on the bank responsible for your card. I bank with PNC and because the transfer was just initiated today, I won’t see it posted to my account until 6am tomorrow. You may get lucky in that it could become available for you later today, but rest assured it will be there for you tomorrow for sure.

I filed on the 10th of January. Got accepted on the 13th. My state was accepted on the 14th. Received my state on the 22nd. WMR was still on one bar until yesterday my bars dissappeared. I don’t have any offsets. And I’ve only been able to order my account trans. Just got off the phone with the IRS. The man was very nice he was able to check my accou t for me and he said everything is OK. Even though I was accepted on the 13th they didn’t start processing them until the 19th. And some people that had early acceptance were put in hold. He also said that I should get an update this week. It’s just waiting g for them to process. That made me feel better because I know it’s nothing wrong with my refund. And I file with freetaxusa

The only thing that has changed this morning is that I am able to order account transcripts, but not return transcripts. Still at one bar. I filed 1/23 am at one bar.
My sister filed 1/19 and is still at one bar.
My mother filed 1/21 and has no bars, just a generic message saying they are processing. When I try to order her transcripts it says, “Your request cannot be completed. Please contact us at 1-800-908-9946, our automated telephone self service, to order an account or a return transcript.” This is her first year filing, do you think that could be why?

A lot of other threads with people accepted on the 14th having bars disapear. If you read the IRS FAQ it says it’s because your being many reviewed however if that is the case then thousands are being manually reviewed and there is no way that is the case. Also you should have received a letter from the IRS or atleast had a different code than 152

I filed with TT and was accepted on the 21st for both Federal and State. Both the website and phone number for Kentucky state taxes is still reflecting last years information. After making a phone call this morning to the Kentucky Department of Revenue they were able to check my return. They have not started processing refunds yet but expect to have the website updated by the end of the week. The person I spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable.

Now if only I could get a DDD for my federal I would be all set. I seem to be stuck at one bar.

Jaycee….your post makes perfect sense… when I read through all of the irs lengo on their site….we basically can get re sequenced so we have to wait till that sequence comes back up in order to get dropped into the pool of returns to keep the streamline of processing going on our return. It was so confusing the way they worded it but if I took 1 thing from it was that filing early does not help and in fact more than likely will cause issues for the way things are processed in their system. Anyways, i filed 1/19, accepted the same day and I think I fell out of que as well and am waiting for my sequence to hit again so i can drop in and get my return finished and DDD. I posted not too long ago on here with the site i viewed that explains the IRS WHOLE process if anyone cares to learn more about how it all works.

We filed with Jackson Hewitt on 01/12/2016 Chose to get our refund back on the American Express Serve Card,and still have not received anything, and the IRS WMR is still telling us Processing, while Jackson Hewitt is telling us that they are just waiting for the IRS to release the funds.
