Contacted my house rep and they set up a case on 4/29. They had me provide copies of the W2s, 1099s and last two paystubs each. Married filed jointly. I hope this madness ends soon….

After two weeks went back into processing and then the following week we got the 570 code and a letter about a 60 day review. as of date keeps changing now its 05/20. Two weeks after 570 we got a 971 for 05/20. Is this a new letter, or referencing the review one we got?

Agent assigned 4/24 and advise I should have by 5/20 or I will hear from her and even though I faxed I uploaded my documents to the irs site directly I have seen people with w2g send it this way instead and updated 2 weeks later and finally figured out how to do it with out having a letter to access the download so I’m praying that works

Apparently I’m waiting the whole 120 days. My 120th is June 5th. My status haven’t changed. My congressman office still haven’t replied, but that’s not really a shock it’s dallas.

Same situation where we filed 2/12…EXCEPT I called the Tax Advocates, here’s what they said:

* Initially the Tax Advocates wanted us to wait the 10-weeks, if no action by then to call them back.
* We called back the DAY AFTER 10-weeks and they stated they would submit a request to expedite the process…stated it would take at the shortest 3-weeks and at the longest 6-weeks. So, again now we wait and wonder.
* We check IRS2Go & WMR daily…it’s beyond a nightmare.

Good Morning All, Well it is May 7, 2024 and there has been no updates to my transcript, I filed and was accepted 1/29/2024 it is well past the Injured Spouse 11 week wait time, spoke with IRS last thursday and was told my stuff should be complete on 5/6/2024, and of course that didn’t happen!!

Contacted congressman both senator and house rep and they sent me tax advocacy group who says 2-3 weeks before even assigned an agent. I’ve been 570 since 2/19 and 971 since 3 days after that

I have a W2 and recently had solar panels installed at my home. My return has been sitting with 570 Tac code for over a month now. Has anyone had a similar issue or been paid? My Brother filed early and has a EV and was paid but that was early Feb. I filed right after and have got nothing. I’m starting to freak out.

Hi Clarie, Ok maybe they made a mistake and figured it out after they sent the first part and are sending you the second part for your entire refund you should have gotten. You know it is the IRS and they do screw up on a regular basis!

Hi sgorham29, both of the amount has the 846 code. I’ve received the first amount DD. But not the second. So I was wondering if I will ever get the second amount. The two amount is totaling my refund amount. Thank you

@MT my 60 days are May 11 but the IRS will tell you it supposed to be 120 days. At this point I hope my congressman caseworker helps.

Hi Clarie, Not really sure about two refunds, however I do know that when your refund is late being sent to you they will send you the refund and the accumulated interest amount, if it is interest it should have the code 770 and the explanation for it, while your actual refund should have the 846 code.

I’m using Brave, I get 428 if I have the “Shields Up”, but taking the shields down work fine. Does seem to be related to tracking/ad blocking (which seems kinda criminal on an IRS website).

We have the same problem with Principal. I spoke with Principal and they have until today 4/30 to file the 1099-R that the distributed. The person I spoke to there did not have much faith that they would sent in for the 4/30 deadline and provided no solution.

Hallelujah!! The day has finally come! Checked my transcript this morning and have a DDD of 5/1…which is my birthday LOL. What a great birthday present. I am so happy it’s finally over! I’m not sure if contacting my congressman sped up the process but it’s worth a shot! Keep hanging on peeps! Your time is coming!

Got another letter this past week about them needing another 60 days to review my return. Called them several times before that letter. Have had my return on 570 since 2/10 and when I got that second letter, I contacted my local Congressman and the next day he got a hold of the IRS and yesterday I got a 571 code and a DDD of 5/1. Anyone waiting should contact their local Congressman as long as they aren’t a democrat. Mine helped me.

Filed 4/15 – accepted few hours later – wmr never updated beyond first bar and tax topic 152 (as of current moment) transcripts weren’t updated until today – showing a 5/1 ddd and 842 on acct transcript – all 2023 transcripts available. No DD – I didn’t do cash app – paid fees upfront tho. My bank usually gives me my DD 2 days early – so I am expecting Monday. I’ll update if earlier.
