Filed1/29 got accepted 1/29 I am a pather been able to check my status on wheres my refund tried to check tonight and it gave me the code 428 is this bad or good it’s telling me check back later.
I’m using Brave, I get 428 if I have the “Shields Up”, but taking the shields down work fine. Does seem to be related to tracking/ad blocking (which seems kinda criminal on an IRS website).
It seems to be a conflict error with some sort of adblocker/software running on one’s browser. The problem was rectified for me by using a different browser to get to Where’s my Refund, when I put the stuff in using Edge or Firefox, it worked. It doesn’t work on my main browser which is OperaGX so that may be the issue some of us are facing.
TL:DR – Try a different browser, that might work.
@Lance, it means you are updating or too many people are trying to access the system at the same time.
Filed February 7th and still getting that the where’s my refund page is not available in Error code 428. Does anyone have any more info about the 428 error code aside from what has already been posted?
Code 428 is gone now I can see everything so try checking it now got tax topic 152 with the amount and all
Is now letting me check still no movement but the 428 code is gone and I was able too see the usual the amount and everything tax topic 152 so try checking it now

I also have the same issues when I tried to see my refund, it goes back to login screen.

Did you get a child tax credit if so if you filed in January and they changed the amount of the credit after you filed the irs fixed it.

Where’s my refund doesn’t load for me. It will load then go straight back to the login screen.
