Once you are accepted, you can use our refund cycle chart to see when to expect your refund. It includes dates for those people accepted in test batches.
accepted today. I have 1 bar on wmr. EIC,CTC.etc. Filed 1/17. Now we wait and walk the long path. lol I guess I was in the test batch like some of you guys.
@monica Did you get an email that your return was accepted? If so, it was part of a test batch. Otherwise, it is sitting on hold until the IRS officially opens on 1/29 this year. You can estimate the date to expect your refund based on the acceptance date.

Finally got accepted around 7pm last night Filed with HRB 1/17 no path ctc only

State file 1/22, accepted 1/23. Hope it’s like last year and I get that refund in a week, and not like previous few years where it took a month or longer!

I don’t understand how the IRS doesn’t flag her returns she did this 2 years ago And got busted for wrongly claiming child
I filed through the CA Franchise Tax Board website on 1/20/24 and it shows as processing on 1/23/24. Last year, I received my refund 12 days after filing so hopefully, the same is true for this year.

You might be ok with it processing. But afterward, you should file an amended return. If not, they can come back and adjust it automatically then send you a notice about changes.
I checked MyDORway today and it has the credit in green parentheses as well…..

Question is should I be worried about I’ve done it before and nothing happenedFiled 01/17 not a pather ctc only. Still not accepted yet. Normally I make it in the test batch. Honestly I have seen very few H&R filers mostly Turbo Tax get accepted. It’s unusual to see so few get in lol. I have been doing my on with H&R for 15 years. Wonder if there is a glitch or the file maybe got delayed when transferring cause it’s a little weird. Maybe we will get accepted by Friday otherwise opening day it is lol.

They’re on a good one this year 😂 I’ve got a couple different times and my taxes are still held up even though I’ve sent in and they’ve received my documentation. I keep getting “we haven’t began processing refunds yet”. Ughhh and no one I’ve spoken to even tries to push it though as we all know they can do if they want to from previous years.
WMR still down but my tax software I used changed from waiting to transmit to accepted just now. Nothing yet on the transcripts. But I’m seeing movement.
Still n/a for me. WRM is down right now too (11:06an eastern) so hopefully something will come out of it.

Hello, everyone.. Filed yesterday 1/22/2024. Still haven’t been accepted yet, but I’m pretty sure we will have our refund by the end of next week. Anyone else file for the 2024 tax season?
For those who track their return via transcripts. My “account transcript” for 2023 is now available but only shows “tax return not filed”. I expect an update to that sometime this week!! Anyone else seen an udpate?
@WhiteWolf: yes. Even if you are accepted early in a test batch, if your refund is subject to the Path Act it will be held until after 2/16.
This is how we think things will work with Path.
President’s Day will play a role with PATH this year.
If it works like other years:
Thursday 2/15 PATH “expires” but we won’t see anything change on transcripts or WMR.
Friday 2/16 transcripts will update with Code 846 Refund Issued for Thursday 2/22.
Saturday 2/17 WMR will update with Direct Deposit Date for Thursday 2/22.
*There are cases where some people may get a direct deposit earlier than 2/22. In the cases where someone meets all of these conditions 1) Paid Fees Up Front 2) Did NOT take a refund advance and 3) uses a NHB (no hold bank), a direct deposit could post to their account 1-4 days earlier. In these cases we anticipate the first date actual money could post is Friday 2/16 in the early afternoon.

Direct deposit:1/23I did my taxes through TT and finished on 1/19, yet on TT app it says submitted 1/22 and pending 1/19. What does this mean? Seems backwards. No acceptance or update yet. I did apply for the advance with KK and have the CTC. Anyone else in this same boat out there, because I’m confused.

I filed on 1/11 and still haven’t been accepted which is so strange to me. Usually I’m accepted the next day. Have no clue what the hold up is. I have CTC but that’s all.

State site says they will start on 1/29/2024I filed Ohio taxes on 1/19/2024 on the state’s website. No third party software.
On 1/21/2024 the state’s WRM showed received but held for manual review.
Today, 1/22/2024 it now shows processed and sent for direct deposit. DD should be received within 7 business days. Just filed my taxes tonight with my new status as an independent contractor. Let the waiting begin.
Yall have got it figured out perfectly. EITC and ACTC is subject to Path Act.
Having CTC alone does not make your refund be held.

Filed Saturday Jan 20th applied for refund advance no response from bank just yet. Bank states they still haven’t received the application & JW says they are sending it today because Saturday was a weekend anyone been through a similar situation?

Yes I’ve had my federal accepted and not state. But my state won’t start accepting until the 29th so it hasn’t even been submitted yet.

You might not be accepted until after 1/29 that is the official day when the IRS starts accepting tax returns. People that are being accepted earlier are part of test batches.
I filed on 1/11 through H&R Block and my return is still pending. I have never had to wait this long to just be accepted. Anybody else having this issue or know what is going on? Or is it because I filed so early with them?

I just received an email from FreeTax USA that my South Carolina return was accepted. I know that they said they will not begin accepting returns until the 29th, but apparently they are doing test batches or something.I filed 1/20 but I haven’t been accepted. I’ve noticed some people who filed on 01/19 and 01/21 have already been accepted. Has anyone that filed on 01/20 been accepted?
