i did the 5 days early but im a PATH person so im still waiting.

I signed up for 5 days early but didn’t get it till the ddd on where’s my refund. I usually get it a day or 2 earlier on years I haven’t had the 5 days early but not this year. I did have fees taken out of my taxes (I do every year) so that may be why I didn’t get it 5 days early but that doesn’t explain why I got it later than previous years.

No updates until today. I’ve always been an 05 weekly but apparently have changed to a daily?

Yesterday there was no record of return found. Had the non-filer letter in place.

Today my Account Transcript is still blank as if no return filed but the non-filer letter is gone and both my Return and Record of Account transcripts are filled in.

Any insight? Figuring they’re in the middle of processing.

The EIC is a PATH affected credit, so yes, PATH is holding it up.

I have always been PATH and had a direct deposit date of 02-22 last year, that was with fees taken out of refund. I paid fees upfront this year so hopefully it will be sooner.

Wait until friday updare as it is only like day 15 they have been open and processing full time! PATH lifts this weekend and you will see changes if you filed EITC or ACTC! No worries unless you are still stuck on say the 25th! If no money by the third of March (i got my check mailed for some reason last two years when DD was requested).

Yeah, if you are a PATH filer don’t worry about it. They never sent me the letter last year and I requested a new one also. It cleared after the transcripts updated after PATH lifted! If you get a letter, it’s easy to solve but if you aren’t seeing it on your WMR don’t worry. You have also already verified by doing the ID.ME so it’s all good!

Yeah, it doesn’t really matter when you file if you’re a PATHer…we aren’t going to see updates until the 17th-19th at least, I’m guessing…deposits probably the 21st and later.

I filed my boyfriends taxes on 1/22 and mine on 1/24. We are both pathers and were both accepted same days. Would we still have to wait until the 24th? I can’t check his trans but I’m a weekly and mine have updated with all codes except 846 and wmr has path message for both of us

No, not a pather. I know last year I still got it a day or 2 early even having my fees taken out of it. I’ve been reading horror stories of them holding onto refunds or sending them back to the IRS so I’m hoping tomorrow’s the day!

You’re done processing and just waiting on path to lift. You’re a weekly so you’ll most likely update on 2/21 with a ddd of 2/26.
Mine is the same, but hopefully I’ll get mine early on 2/21 bc I have an early deposit card.

I received the following info on irs page: We received your return and sent you a letter requesting more information. Please respond by following the instructions in the letter. If you don’t respond, your refund amount could be changed. It may take 2-3 weeks for you to receive the letter.

Yes! I started a post earlier today about the same issue! A couple others said they were facing the same thing! Are you a weekly, because I have been historically a weekly, and hoping it updates Friday! I going to contact IRS tomorrow, and ask them what’s up with this, but I’m sure it’ll be like pulling teeth to get an answer, let alone speak to someone.

There’s another post where a user says 2020 was the last year that February 15th landed on a Saturday. So, looking back at your 2019 return transcripts, should more than likely be the same as it was then. I was a weekly and still am and I had a DDD of 2/26. I believe dailies said they had a DDD of 2/24. Couple days before maybe if you have no-hold bank or aren’t expecting any fees to be taken out.

I’m usually a weekly, have been for the past 5 years, at least. My concern is I can’t see any of my previous year’s transcripts, either. I’m hoping I just update on Friday, as well. I have ALWAYS been a weekly(05), but my transcripts updated overnight and I’m an 02 this year! Just waiting on the stupid EIC credit hold to lift. WMR doesn’t say anything about PATH, but transcript shows 768, so I’m assuming I have to wait until after the 15th. Anyone have a guess as to when deposits will hit this year since the 15th is a Saturday?

I filed on the 3rd. TurboTax sent an email stating that because of PATH the Where’s My refund tool should update by the 22nd and I should receive deposit by March 3rd. Mine’s been on the first bar as well.

Yeah, 2020 was the time we waited on PATH, so it’d be for the 2019 tax year and the 2019 Transcripts.

Guessing you guys are/were Weekly’s? It was a crazy year so I’m sure it’s all over the place, but looks like it will be 2/24 for Daily and 2/26 for Weekly’s after all. Maybe that TT 5 day early thing will work though.

what does this all mean? whys it says 4-15? im suppose to get based on turbo tax 6289 but this was in my account transcripts today im a PATH person getting EITC and child tax

Upon further review it looks like the year that the 15 fell on a Saturday was actually 2020 and in that case I received mine on Feb 22nd

@Saraf – I just got off with the treasury – they had issues where all 2/10 deposits were kicked back – They are trying to get them re sent and we should have them by 2/13. She said to call back on Friday if not received. Hope that helps

Just curious what everyone’s DDD was for 2019 tax year. Feb 15th fell on a Saturday in 2020 as well. I was audited that year so I can’t help, but that year may help give us a possible pattern for this year.
