Mine updated sometime after 1pm with my fees showing they’d been taken out and refund sent to my bank or whatever.
I still haven’t received DD yet. 2/24 is DDD but I assume overnight or tomorrow I should get it. Not using my NetSpend this year and trying Chime.
Leave it to greedy marketing to come yp with the TT CARD. They uaed Netspend for a year, I believe and now offer their own card and are, i assume, lromising earier deposit times!
“If you use our tax program, your deposit could be in your account from 1 to 21 days sooner.. maybe!”
In case it is asked later, I’m in Texas.
10:08pm deposit with a DDD OF Feb. 27. I knew it would hit tonight. Ive beee a Netspend fan and supporter since I got my account 8 years ago.
Deposited 10:08pm. ✌🏻
I mean 10:08pm deposit in my farewell post!

Anyways, farewell from Texas!
Good luck and see you next year, everyone!
P.S. Use Netspend next year. It relieves the stress you’ve built up for 2 months when that text alert goes off at 12:01am and you see that balance.
You can relax and drift off to sleep. Wake up, smell the coffee and start to pay yours bills. And life continues.
✌🏻Different subject, has anyone tried Pillow Factory? 😌 Man. What a great night.
NO FEES. even if you have netspend, and expect to pay fees, you may receive it a few hours later or have a whole 24 hours in between.
You’d still be getting it early, basically! No fees is the way to go though!
Me too! My husband and I instantly hugged, he let out a huge sigh of relief and here we are.
Filed 2/7 HOH, EIC, CTC
Lost my one bar on Feb 16 and got the “refund being processed” message.
A about 7am today, I had 2 bars and message tio expect my DD by Feb 27.I use Netspend and ALWAYS get it before DD date. (Also get my paychecks 1-2 days befofe everyone else)
MAY GET i1t overnight tonight!

Checked my sister’s WMR page since I filed her taxes this year, too. She is 18 so I stopped being able to claim ACTC for her last year and have only received the CTC & EIC since last year.
She doesn’t make that much money and doesn’t have any credits. I filed her return a few minutes before I filed mine: 2/7 both accepted
Hete is a screen shot of her WMR page, the lil biznitch! Lol. I kid.
WMR SITE https://imgur.com/gallery/LSIqU5eHoping for an update today or tomorrow because I am still stuck on “being processed”.
WMR SITE https://imgur.com/gallery/LSIqU5e
ScreenshotI filed both of ours the same day and approved same day.
I decided to check my sister’s progress for the first time. Second year of me doing her taxes, she is 18 and doesn’t get much $ back. I used to claim her as ACTC but she hit 17 and last year was the first time I could only CTC her.
We with credits must wait patiently a little longer.
Why?
DON’T FILE EARLY. The IRS Doesn’t open until the beginning of February.Even then, the government was shut down during January.
JUST DON’T FILE EARLY! File when they’re actually opened. It never helps to file early. Every damn year, people.
Totally a scam. They do not call, they send letters and the only people who charge fees are the tax websites, if you choose to use the pay for version, and even then they ask you if you want to pay for the fee upfront when you submit your return or if you want it taken out of your refund.
Sorry for your loss.
this person could be telling the truth. I live in Texas, have a Netspend account and the bank I put down on all my direct deposit routing and account info is “The Bancorp Bank”. I always get my paychecks a day sooner than others and when it comes to tax refund, I get it deposited without the WMR site even moving to the second bar.
I filed on 2/7 this year with EIC & CTC. I lost my one bar on Saturday 2/16 and have “Your return is being processed” message with all my info on the left side. Last two years, I have been a weekly, depositing on Friday again without the IRS.gov WMR website ever updating until days later.
good luck.
February 19, 2019 at 2:09 pm in reply to: How common is it to get your deposit before your DDD update? #4282897every year I get a deposit before WMR even gets to the 2nd bar, but I use Netspend and get paychecks deposited early too. for some reason, they release funds immediately upon retrieval.
Posting on other persons 2/7 thread also.
Nothing updated for me last night. Lost bars on Friday/Saturday, still have my $ amount and info on left side. Using Netspend direct deposit with no fees (turbo tax free), like every year. My husband’s paycheck came in last night at 9pm, he would have gotten it Sunday at 9pm bit the holiday pushed it. Same account for my return so I am sure it will be another few days of waiting. I assume this Friday/Saturday it will drop. How about everyone else who filed 2/7?People are saying that some who are grtting their money are lying but I believe they’re not lying because I have been a quick DD before and people called me a liar. This year. some people just aren’t seeing theirs as quickly as others. One year I filed on 2/8 and got my DD four days later with EIC & ACTC. It was before PATH was introduced. Just be nice to each other – we are all just anxious to get what we are owed.
Posting on thread thst I started also.

Wmr down at the moment.
Stupid federal holidays.
Hoping for a deposit tmrw since Netspend releases funds immediately. Still lost bars, all info still on the left side and of course transcripts are a no go with no credit cards or loans.Londyn38
Great! Same here.
I have a feeling most 2/7 filers will be seeing deposits next week. I have my transcripts from last year and I filed on 2/8 then and got my return on 2/16. Unfortunately, I don’t have credit cards or loans so I can only order by mail, which I am about to do now.
Seriously, I am thinking next week, Friday probably, if not at the latest. I will keep y’all informed. Anyonr using Netspend will of course see their deposit before WMR even updates, in my experience.
@londyn38 (make an account ans it will notify you of tags)
Did you have Earned Income Credit or any other credits?
And you filed the same day?
Also, I am in Texas, not sure if it matters but we don’t pay state taxes. Also not sure if that makes a difference in speedy returns. If i remember correctly, yes but not for very long, then my refund hit my bank account before WMR even gave me a DDD. Last year filed 2/8, rec’vd DD on 2/16 and WMR updated to 2 bars the next day. Last year’s transcripts give me a cycle code of 20180705 or something and projected I’d have gotten the refund waaaay later. I dont have credit cards or loans so I can’t check online. Meh.
I could go through my.post.history to find specifics but am going back to bed. Good luck to us all!

Just got up and checked WMR and I have lost my bars.
[Sorry for the double post but I realized I wasn’t aigned in to my account – this is the correct account]
I just woke up and checked, and same here. Filed 2/7, was on one bar and have now lost bars.
Last year I filed 2/8, exact same credits EITC W/ one dependant who is over 17 so no ACTC. Anyway, my refund hit my Netspend account 8 days after filing, which was the 16th – without WMR updating until a few days later. Hoping for the same smooth ride.
@blahblah (if you all create an account on this website, it will actually link you when we put @soandso otherwise we who respond to people just have to hope you come back and read the thread – just a suggestion)
There was one year that my husband and I filed joint, with my dependent (my sister, who I have claimed every year since I’ve been working, as my mother and stepfather, well, weren’t very responsible) and we were expecting like over $5k.
we were surprised when the direct deposit hit and was around half that, $2400-2500.
we never checked into it but we assumed and are pretty positive that it was because he owed (back) child support.
long story (sort of) short: before we met he was in the army, met a chick who was also in the army who had a son (who he fell in love with) from a previous marriage. they married, had a baby girl and she was called to Hawaii. he stayed here in Texas watching both children and found out she was cheating in Hawaii. he tried to make it work when she came home but she basically just used him (just like the first marriage, he found out). one night, her parents came over to “pick up the kids for a visit”. his wife and her parents took the kids to Oklahoma (where she was from). that was the last time my husband saw his daughter and step-son. his daughter was just a baby and is now about 13 or 14. heartbreaking. ex-wife won’t even allow them to speak and has tried countless times to allow her new partners adopt her. she’s already been through two other men, now married again. she is evil.as far as the child support goes, he was never brought to court to settle any of it. Oklahoma seems to do things a lot differently than Texas does.
Back to that tax refund. we’re pretty sure it went to child support. about $2500 of it. I was pissed because the majority of that refund came from me working and taking care of my little sister.we do not file together anymore since then, and Oklahoma courts garnish his paychecks so he is paying on his child support.
Sorry so long, @blahblah. it was just an example of what the government can and will do. I feel like if you are on a payment plan and have been making good on those payments, you may be just fine. maybe try googling it? LOL :)
my husband owes $800 from last year which I plan to pay when I get my return and this year he owes again. I guess he is claiming ‘0’ or something when he fills out his W4’s because he is hourly. it doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t know how that works though. I always put ‘1’ on my W4’s and am always hourly.
no update to wmr site and no deposit.
“Do deposits go through earlier on prepaid cards?”
I have a Netspend account and have had it for years and years. I can say from experience that I have gotten paychecks 36-72 hours before most bank deposits.
As far as tax refund deposits, my transcripts always have a completely different date than when I received my deposit. always received way before the actual date, and always received way before WMR updates.
hope this helps.
no update to wmr site. I know it is irresponsible to depend on your tax return money but this year we are because I lost my job a few weeks ago.
It is rough out there looking for a suitable job (income wise). our budget was based on my $15/hr job. we were able to borrow $8,000 from my in-laws to purchase a new (used) car, as both of ours went to sh*t a few months ago. the day after we purchased the car, I got fired. I understand being on time is important, but clocking in 1 to 3 minutes after 8am a few times is kind of irrational.
this company was small, needed a receptionist at the end of October, full time and paid well. although, they did not offer medical benefits, I took it.
[I had just been let go after about 2 years at a doctors office – completely different reason – basically, management had no idea what she was doing and was the doctor’s wife, she thrust into the position I assume because she was tired of being a housewife and her daughters both were about to leave for college. I swear she had it out for me. her husband even condescended previous employees saying ‘she wouldn’t behave like this, she is an ivy league professional]
back to the small business. they were a fire extinguisher repair and sale shop. started in 1987. the receptionist position was open because their previous one had a stroke and was not able to come back to work. the lady had been there 18 years. this business was desperate for someone computer & network savvy because they were running their database on an ancient program – microsoft access with a build called Alpha Five on top of it. the only person who knew how to program it and work it was… you guessed it… the lady who had a stroke! insane! you put your entire business in the hands of one person!!
anyways, they really liked me but they had a stick up their ass about the time clock and hours being EXACT. it was across town for me, I wasn’t used to getting caught by traffic so yes, I clocked in a few minutes late a few times and bam – fired.I know more than likely nobody will read that and I will end up erasing it.
::sigh:: I need friends.I filed on 2/7 and was able to order 2018 transcripts today… both account and return. Thry may come blank, who knows.
No one elae filed 2/7?
Last year my deposit was 2/16 w/ PATH. WMR didn’t update with my DDD until the 2/17 and showed a DDD of 2/22 – which of course was wrong.
Note: I have had a Netspend account for over 10 years and when I started doing my taxes 8 years ago, I have always chosen direct deposit to Netspend and gotten them way sooner than expected. Even my paychecks come sooner – my coworkers are tired of hearing how quickly I receive my money! I tell them, just get a Netspend account!!!!
In the early Obama years, I filed on 2/2 one year and got my deposit three days later NO JOKE! It was the quickest I have ever gotten my refund and I’m sure the last time it will ever be that quick!!
I got my DD in my Netspend account on 2/16. On 2/17, WMR finally updated to 2 bars and gave me a DDD of 2/22. I made a whole long post about this a few days ago. Good luck everyone! I’ve already spent most of my $4700 on bills, got new tires and payed off loans. Feels great!
Hey everyone,
At 3:39pm my direct deposit hit my bank account. I have not been checking WMR at all today, so this was unexpected. WMR is still on one bar for me, anyway, even now. I was also unable to view transcripts online or order them with my new address since being accepted on 2/8.
Wooohooo!
Keep your heads up everyone who hasn’t gotten it yet. If I got mine then there is loads of hope for you guys!!
Just got my direct deposit. I made a post about it on the main page if anyone is interested in details.
Stay strong everyone. The time when you stop obsessing over it and thinking about it all day, is when it happened for me!
It happens from 3 am (2/17) – 6 am. Everyone just go to sleep Friday night and when you wake up, hopefully, you are one that updated. Frankly, it doesn’t even do me any good to obsess over the WMR website because every single year for the past 7, I have gotten my money before WMR ever updated to 2 bars.
February 14, 2018 at 5:15 pm in reply to: Why everyone so worried about seeing path message #4217298@ 💞Day 🎂Day One year I got my refund in 3 days… it blew my mind. Of course, PATH was not in effect yet.
Anyone with credits that filed on this date see any updates?
@April – If you kept your NetSpend card you can use it as your regular debit card. I have had a Netspend account for almost 10 years now. All you do is enter your routing and account info onto Turbo Tax when it prompts you. Grocery stores carry NetSpend cards or you can just go to the NetSpend website and order one.
there’s already a thread or this below… it’s titled DDD 2/14
Thanks for responding, Quinn.
I was beginning to feel very alone. I filed late this year so I am full of anxiety waiting for this refund. I was just lazy this year. Fingers crossed!! This is the first year I got the CTC and not the ACTC. I never knew that 17 would cap out the age for dependants, I figured it was 18.@CB
It lists all the things that they accept at the link I posted.I moved in 2017 and I am hoping my change of address will not hold the IRS up with releasing the funds. Any movement fellow 2/8ers?
@Kennedy
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcriptIf you have a credit card you can access them online, there are a couple other things you can use other than a credit card.
If not, you can request them by mail.
Wanted to add that last year, I had fees taken out so my return went to Santa Barbara before hitting my account.
Nobody else filed 2/8? I am alone in this one, huh?
I expect to receive my refund on the 21st this year. Last year, I rec’vd on Wednesday the 22nd at 3 pm to my Netspend card. I even receive my paychecks early on Netspend. (by the way, when people say “Turbo Tax card”, I would like to believe they mean Netspend card}
Well… every year my direct deposit comes before WMR even updates to 3 bars. I don’t rely too much on that but of course, I check it religiously, just like this forum. Hoping everyone is having a great day!💲💲💲💲💲💲
4pm Central – Direct deposit into my Netspend account. SBBT did update this morning and it said they’d received their portion so I knew it wouldn’t be long. Also, WMR still shows 2 bars. Happens every year though, I am not surprised.Filed 2/2 & Accepted
Turbo Tax w/ fees taken from refund (SBBT)
EIC & CTC
WMR gave me movement to bar 2 on last Saturday’s (couldve been Wednesdays actually.. either 2/15 or 2/18) update with a DDD of 2/23
2/22 AM fees taken from SBBT
2/22 PM direct seposit received to netspend accountGood luck to everyone who is still waiting. If y’all need help with questions, send me a message. ✌🙌
Mine too. Come on Netspend!
No. You wont. This happened to me before with my husbands past child support. It was a bummer. Think about filing married separate next time.
Filed & accepted 2/2
EIC & CTC
Turbo TaxHad Path message for a few days, Wednesday update to processing message, Saturday update to DDD February 23, 2017. Fees will be taken out from SBBT, hopefully soon with it being the weekend and a holiday. Should see a deposit to my Netspend account next week. Very happy with this year so far. I didn’t file too early; made that mistake last year. It’s always a gamble. 2014 tax season I filed and had a direct deposit 3 days later (it was late January too). Hopefully next year is just as kind!
It’s mentioned in a lot of threads and I personally wrote a thread about it. It means nothing. Just a glitch.
February 12, 2017 at 12:48 am in reply to: Cycles codes for 02/02'ers with EIC & ACTC ONLY PLZ!!! #4167970I got the PATH update this morning, my amount is gone but I was able to order both return and account transcripts (by mail, because I don’t have all the documents needed to order online unless I could just use my netspend card account?). So either by the 15th or whenever I receive the transcripts, I should know more. Last year I was under review. it was so frustrating that I had forgotten about it and was surprised on April 26th with my deposit.
So with the PATH message update and being able to order both transcripts today, do you all think it’s a good sign that all is well?
Same. Filed & accepted 2/2, updated today with PATH message. I won’t check back until the 15th. Will power.
Download the IRS2GO app in your Google play store (android) app store (ios)
The IRS2GO app should work for you.
I wrote that here twice and nobody read it.
@ness79⬇
Try using a different browser or even a desktop computer. I get that message sometimes and just try again
@aviance
This is a thread for 02/02 filers, not 02/04
You arent going to see anything significant for a few days, and probably won’t be getting a refund til mid-month. Just keep checking, or not – it’s what makes us crazy 😉 – and wait!
Netspend?
Nice!!! Congrats 👏
I wasn’t getting anything to come up on WMR tracker last night. I checked right now and have 1 bar, that is all. I was hoping I would forget about it for a few days but I bet that the cycle has started to obsessively checking everytime I get a chance. 🙃
Sorry for Danielle’s emoji language. She wasn’t properly logged in as herself – Dollskin – because she was using a freshly downloaded Adblock Browser for Android because she couldn’t take the ads on this website any longer!!! For what it’s worth, this site without ads now FLIES!
However you can withdraw all of your funds here in Texas at HEB as it is a Netspend loading and withdrawing location I still don’t see why anyone would need to withdraw their cash, the netspend card is a debit card that can be used as cash or credit, also has a savings option, lots of great features on the website in your account center
I’ve been using netspend so long, I pay the 5.99 a month for no fees other than withdrawal fees 2.50 cents at atms. On top of atm fee. Small price to pay as I never really need cash. And there’s no limit. Especially if you get a large deposit, like your refund, the invite you to the premier club.
Update… just got ‘refund has been accepted’ email only 30 minutes later. Not surprising. Bow the real wait begins…
And last year I got a letter saying if don’t fill and resend they’d hold my return. Well I never did it so I figured I wouldn’t get it but so unexpectedly April 16th, day after cut off, I got my refund. Was very happy. Even though I had filed January 27th 2015. the IRS is a strange entity.
